I'll Keep You Waiting
I have listened to all your tracks, and only two things I can say are : First : you have got some style! Second : Tracks would sound fantastic if you play more with the vocals, try to play with the frequency (high) and also the compression. that's all very good cheers JC
Been checking out a few of your tunes tonight Aaron and this is the best so far. Brilliant. Love that driving dirty guitar like synth sound. Great beats and effects. Would have loved to have heard the vocal version too. Rated. Craig
Top tune it gets you by the throat and won't let go.Aggressive and laid back if that is possible.Nice one loved it.
Hi again, Back to nom (ran out last week)...nice job! Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
Hi, Cool. Creative mix of styles, also energetic and catchy all at once! Great track. Rated. Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
Sorry, I would comment on the mix, structure, melody etc ... but right now its a bit like having been hit by a lorry and trying to remember what colour it was!
WhoooH! yoou just upset my neighbours!!! I stuck your track on... it seemed a bit loud so i turned down the volly a bit, but about 20 seconds in, i had to turn it up again .... then 30 seconds later, I needed more! ... and about another 20 secs .... Fk it to cut a long story short, 150w per channel in a small living room ... full whack! ..... devastating!!! ... furniture shaking, things falling off shelves .... glorious track! punk as ....!!!!!
I only ever comment on music I genuinely like, and it took me ages to find a song of your's that I hadn't previously commented on! I'm only surprised I hadn't come accross this one before. Its got a Heavy Rock feel with the guitar samples, a Techno style main theme for the hook, combined with powerful Big Beat drums and powerful bass. This is definately a great listen, and worthy of another rate in my book :)
(2nd listen) Its well different, i like the cross over between rock vocals and industrial dance hiphop sound. Nice
well thats different?!?
Deep sound M8. These vocals are really, really great ! It's like pearl Jam vs Underground.
A pleasure & a priviledge working with you Aaron - This is sounding friggin' HUGE and you've done wonders with it! Nice one bro, just drop me a msg if there's anything else to work on. All the best! Tommy
I'm confused as to who's vocals these are? Is there two lots? Thought they were the same as the previous but more of them, sorry lol.
Hey red back again! First off the 'hey' at the start sounds a bit loud in the mix, maybe try and little trippy delays and long reverb would set it off nice but thats just a suggestion! lol could always stick to lowering the vilume of course! lol other than that tho you have the vocals spot on and i like the way you have them cut and used very well! Its amazing how this track sounds like it was written for these vocals you have done a sweet job integrating these into the mix!!! Its an immensly powerful track and you have done a rockin job on it! All those guitar stabs to the beats are very well produced and the production is top notch!! Buttons pressed without regrets bud! Best of luck with it! Marty
Big improvement Mr Redshirt, I liked the origanal but it now has more depth, and those vocals deserved to be heard more! Top track and rated for sure:)
not my kind of thing..wait.....no ...this is seriously massive! another rate :)
i thought i recognised it, scrolled down the comm's and indeed, heard previous version, i must say this is what it needed, the vocal pushes it up to a next level as one could hope for. Oh and a very cool new breakdown, yeah ... electro with mindblasting vocals... i'll see if i can go and rate ;)
I can't really keep up with all the different mixes u do, this sounds good though, clear mix, some nice vocal performances, this has a great radio appeal, could see a rap on this somewhere.Nice.1
Hi Aaron' A lot of cool elements to this track !!! Kind of a futuristic funk vibe w/NXS vocs(some of it) maybe some peppers too.. Excellent all the way around !!!
This is exceptional. Great vocals. I didn't expect anything less from you...period! Rated!!
Still a great track, and these new vocals, give it a different angle altogether! One of ur strongest tracks possibly?....Ahh, theres too many to choose from! Its been good to see this baby grow! Excellent work. Mark
this is excellent in every aspect. Could be a track off a million selling album as far as I'm concerned. Nothing else to add really. Graham
Absolutely top notch, very powerful. You have a very good track here. Rated.
very cool, this is quality all round. I can't fault it. vox are really good and everything works well togeather. great job here. rated
nice one Aaron - cracking good vox and well displayed from beats to bass to production - very well done!
Oh we likes this! Great vocals, and a really tastefully handled, but seriously thumping mix. Will be coming here again, that's for sure... Be very proud.
Still loving it...all these months later, and this new version is in keeping with previous versions..it seriousley rocks!!! top notch vocals mate :)
Can't compare it with the old version, but that vocals suits great, though i'd prefer more "cold" and less emotional vocal, but it's just my personal taste:) Maybe more heavy snare drum layered above would be good... Anyway i liked it, great structure and production.
Previous comment... Shazam! You "da-man!" 19 July 2006 Listening to this again...AND SO IS TOMMY! Great feel to this guys! You have a hit! Pow Pow Powerful! :)
really good vocals by tommy :D love his voice, suits the track very well, got to admit, i think i prefer kurts version, more in line with the music. i just played the original and think i prefer the trent reznor vibe. gr8 vocs tho by tommy,no change to the backing that i can make out, already commented on that before, no change of opinion.
as of now different mix----------------------
Damn, I'm really liking this track. Everything I've heard on your page so far has also been equally excellent. Your one talented dude. This one kind of sounds like Celldweller's stuff.
I really like this one. Kurt sounds great , very raw and powerful vocals. The lyrics go well with the music which is very mesmerising with the hard bass line coupled with the sweet synths flowing in and out. A great track I could imagine this on a good film! Gets my rates
Fantastic drrrty guitars, love em in this kinda setting! Slick as hell too. Might've lowered the offbeat high synth a bit if it was me, but other than that...rated! :)
This one must go to the top! I can call it an electro rock!! Fantastic job! Rated!
A sweet mix of electronica and good ol rock. Great job!
Congrats bro. I think it`s higher also!! Kurt
congrats on making the charts bro! well done. Kid
fantastic track ! very nice production !! love the chemical bros/prodigy type noises , superb !
Stupendous. Reminds me of Billy Idol....
Great track! As ive already said! VOcals are brill! Adds a lot!
Absolutely awesome! I can see the Prodigy influences, and this reminds me a lot of their BSide off the Smack my Bitch Up single, 'No Man Army'. This is absolutely fantastic, the vocals are awesome too, gives this a real electro rock feeling to it. How are you not signed to any label, you really are a talent. Ratings and Nominated.
This beat is just superb and mixed with the rest of the track is very evocative, I can understand why Kurt put these lyrics to it. This is one helluva track, rated, Kaesmel
oh and rated,cheers!
Great track, cant stop listening to it, love it, baaaad tune. HEY FEAR!
Hey,nice collab with Kurt!Sounds like everything come togather nicely.Noce crisp production.Well put togather.Isn't this collabing stuff a blast?
wow. this is radio ready as they say. sounds as good as something you would hear on the radio. a little intense, but the production and sounds is impressive.
Come on Redshirt you know i love your stuff! i loved the original track (Without the vocals) so how couldnt i like this? lol Rated! Keep them coming Red!!
I'm sure I'd already commented on this , well anyways I liked it before and those vocals that've been added certainly give it a new dimension and more bite. Really like the strong pads near the end too
Thanks Virus your always my inspiration. Cant wait to speak with you. I`m confused with all these Tech comments!!
Hey, I'm glad to hear you guys collabing. Quality Redshirt production with trademark kicking beats and gorgeous synths. Strong vocals from Kurt. Great work guys.
ah i'd already rated it before....but still a nom!
sooooo prodigy! This is wicked, real class. Love the guitary synths.. gets my rates and noms.!
Big, Big track now red, liked this before, loving it now man, excellent vocals. rated and a nom. Regards: Fatal X 8 ~ Aka ~ Destri
Yeah its a great track anyway...The new vocals take it somewhere else. Not above, but parallel to it. Really dark singing. This is a great track anyway man! Well done!
Quality Red fantastic! Excellent.(rated) Andy :)
Love the vocals...and the beat fits perfectly(rated). JAY DITHERS
awesome!
apart from the fact its in the red its a gr8 track, nice vocals the lead synth is still a bit to repeative but the vocals gave it a bit more grit reminds me of trent reznor
HURT (?) Harley
Bloody Hell! I am well impressed his vocals are incredible & really make this one for me M8. Way to go guys (jeeez I'm saying that a lot lately lol) Clive ;)
Superb! Everything you do oozes energy and quality. Rated Martin
Great power in the vocals and the music is pumping. rickys suggestion is valid, so something to think about, but this tracks has everything else going for it. Rated and Nominated
Where have i been? great track as usual!!!
Your production skills are really apparent on this track! It's a stomper so rated. Kevin Mooney.
How did I miss this? Well done for the chart position buddy. This is another fine DJRedshirt Track. Supurb!!! ROGUE
Do you ever sleep ? How can one man produce so many tracks in so little time ? And again top notch production... Redshirt written allover it !
Great....now my neck hurts. Who says you can't headbang to this stuff....Once again, awsome.
hi i got new tune up called hell check it n rate it when u have time i have had a great respone locally so check it see what u think thanks.
Well it's u alright, like the whole beat, guitar combo, really goes well, and it's still got that ambient feel, as said the quality is always top notch, very clear nice sounds.Nice.1
Nice cool track, reallyhits hard from the start, Nice rhythms. Cool synthlines or are thsat vocals, cool melodies!! Rated. Great structure in this one.
hey guess what i played this track all the way 2 the end :P a good 3 or 4 times smart ass. the more i play it the more i think it needs more variation the lead synth dont change enough for me its a killer track for sure as i said before right out the book of prodigy btw im saying this due to comments left on another page from yourself and your pm box is full so thought i leave it here for ya :P
This is a very cool track. Love the raw edgy sound to the guitar. Cracking beats, but thats only to be expected from you. The whole track is compressed very nicley, giving it a really tight feel. Unfortunaltey I think you spoil all of us with the quality of your productions, so when you release something new, I don't expect anything less than the quality of this track. I think you are really getting a good name for yourself, certainly here on MP3U, and every time you do a new track, we all know that it's going to be of top quality. Well done mate. Keep it up, coz at this rate, if you don't get signed up by someone, then there is something drasticaly wrong with the A+R mans ears. Steve
Playing this on my 5.1, bass up....and it's rather bloody good man. Cool break in the mid part and some nice subtle synth parts in there as well as the upfront stuff, this is great Aaron, Rated & a Nom. Regards: FAtal X ~ Aka ~ Destri
Got ma vote mate You got a seriously cool sound here, maybe a little minimal - the lead melodie could change a little - but still good work
Wahey! This is mint love it when that main initial beat and riff kick in! Its making me sweat on a very hot day! As per production is spot on! As mancini says good mix down and then back in again towrds the end - i thought it could maybe do with a more darker back tone at that point buts that just an idea. Gets my rate and nomination - altogther awesome : )
Great as usual RS :) I agree with Salmbo - definately some nice scratching would be the cherry on top of a very nicely iced cake
Shazam! You "da-man!" :) Carol Sue
really cool track m8. has got prodigy written all over it. gets my rate an nom
cool vibe here... I really like the ambient stuff. Not as keen on the guitar and heavier bits but that's just a matter of taste. I think this tune begs for some scratching to top it off...
Gee Aaron you were'nt kidding with the tittle, sums it up completely. As said the arrangement is spot on and has everything that the track needs. The only thing I would say is that I'd love to hear this transposed down giving it even more bottome edge darkness. Once again insperational with sound and texture. rates and Noms from one of your biggest fans Steve
now it's working.... donwright immense mate, nom/rate/download etc etc etc lol
Excellent! The arrangement is just so good. Has a real raw edge, it really rocks! Love the breakdowns too. That bass sits very well just behind everything, giving it a really moody atmosphere! Nice touch;) Top production again. Its a winner! Mark
Again, a hit track, wouldn't expect any less from you anymore by now ;) though i don't think it's one of your stronges, it still is a very good party track, maybe you could try pitching up the tempo a bit on this one? that would really kick your butt to move! clean production again! greets t.
good stuff ...........
Yes its cool dj...I just bought a dance mix to take to the festival so I could mix some stuff from on here so i,ll grab this and make a few cd,s with yer stuff on them..and give you a plug...the cd i bought was the godskitchen global gathering 3 cd mixes ..bloody awesome stuff on them so if ya havent already got it ..my advice is you,d love it..byt the way ive listened to this track 4 times on the trot now and its got me in the festival mood..lol...We leave on thursday night..hows the mix..are ya hitting a sticky patch with it??..btw rated this track and it goes on the d,l list...good luck if I dont hear from ya before thursday...The Tartan Rascal.
Back home to get a real feel for this...be honoured my friend because this is all I have had on me mind since leaving work (that n a joint!). As said earlier, the main melodic stab n melody is Liam through n through. This reminds me one 'One Man Army' (or No Man Army depending on the version)..def reminds me of that track..kinda feels like his in between The Fat Of The Land and Always Outnumbered phase..BGAT n all that. The break in the middle is pretty cool..keeps you hangin' on is suspense and your right, the section after the break is brutal. The part of that high melody that carries on a bit longer sounds like something from Jilted...mental track mate..you have practically all 'sections of Prodigy'..everything but the Experience imo (which is the best imo!) classic track though son..well worth a listen or two (or three).
another killer track m8 deffo prodigy esque phat beats, tasty synth sounds right out of the book of prodigy nice breakdown and back in the mix cool track gets my votes :D
I reckon i'm the biggest Prodigy fan in the world (!) so I reckon I ought to come by this one. The main melody is a def Prodigy influence..its like it was straight out of the Howlett archives or something. I will give this a full seeing to later son...my system at work nowhere near compliments the level of this track, peace peace peace peace peace
Hailing from the Southern California coast, Aaron Jones (Redshirt Theory) developed his innate musical sensibility from his father who played guitar in a local band. Over time Aaron was introduced to classic rock bands like The Beatles, The Who, and Queen; classical composers like Aaron Copeland and Carl Orff; and electronic bands like Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, and Daft Punk. His inspiration to compose stemmed from the undulating beat mixes of bands like the Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. Impressed by all genres, he quickly found a niche; creating his own style of infusing various instruments with complex beat patterns. This unique sound experiment soon landed him contracts with video game distributors and local Arts groups.
Since 2005, Aaron Jones has collaborated with the prestigious Arts organization, Quixotic Fusion in Kansas City, and has been featured in over twenty games for the Wii, Xbox360, and PS3 consoles. His collaborative mission keeps his style innovative, mixing electronica with instruments that are unconventional to the electronic scene. Recent collaborations include compositions with sitar, banjo, and Celtic flutes. These challenges distinguish his unparalleled approach and are quickly making Redshirt Theory internationally recognized. As an artist that doesn’t settle for conformist musical views, Redshirt Theory continues to explore electronic music’s vast avenues and push the limits for a redefined musical genre.

So here I am with another review. This week, I took on a different approach of choosing who the victim/lucky person would be. I'm not being egotistical by any means. I love writing reviews and giving people a perspective of their music not thought possible. Basically; a good experience. And not just for the artist but the readers themselves. This week... I decided whoever got #1 on the weekly char
I have to admit that upon the first listen, I found this track confusing in that I was slightly unsure as to where it was going. It has an exceptionally complex structure which takes a few listens to really get to grips with. This is not necessarily a bad thing, however, btu in general, I do feel that the track is much longer than it needs to be. The 1:15 long intro builds exceptionally well,
The first artist this month from MP3 Unsigned is an old mate, Redshirt Theory whose IDM stylee has captured my ears a time or two over the last year or so - and I don't particularly like dance that much. Mind you, I do like almost everything so long as its done well and has plenty to say and on that score it's not surprising that Redshirt Theory should be such a big deal on that site. Funnily enou
Your reviewer can’t help thinking that he’s on a hiding to nothing taking on a track that, at the time of writing, had received 52 comments, 37 ratings, been downloaded 31 times and hit the #1 spot here on MP3Unsigned. But hey, that’s the price you pay for inviting requests for reviews. Mind you, couple that with the fact that one half of this collaboration (Redshirt Theory) has had, at t
Well first of all I have to say I've been following the progress between The Tartan Rascals and Redshirt Theory over the last few months and they never fail to amaze me with their combined talents. Akkie's great guitar work, Redshirts kick ass beats and Stevie's vocals all make for a great fusion of sounds. (Don't forget to mail that cheque to me :-p) Right onto the track. I think the thing
"Come Home" is Redshirts second entry into the 'elements' competition after the stunning 'Infliction' track which I highly recommend you give a listen. Comparisons aside, "Come Home" is another successful collab with the Tartan Rascals and a fine entry into the competition, focusing as Reshirt describes on 'human emotions as they are important "elements" to our lives', which I thought was a pretty
could easily see myself going crazy to this version of the sheds original. keep up the good work. any chance you'll do a version where you drop the beat in the middle only to bring it stomping back with 'one from the quiver' ringing over and over in my blessed ears. BTW i always thought the lyrics were 'run from the river' but apparently its as stated .one from the quiver is a reference to how goo
Right first of all I would like to just quickly say that Redshirt Thoery aka. Aaron Jones, is one of the many artists on this site that I am in awe of. His talents coupled with his sheer determination never cease to amaze me. He has a great personality and his passion for music is clearly apparent in all that he does. Okay then so onto the track. First of all it starts off with a nice trippy
Ninety comments! It's hard to imagine I could add anything to what's already been said about this track, but I'm certainly going to give it a go. Senser. Prodigy. It's all that's basically going through my mind when I'm listening to this. I love those bands, and I'm automatically loving this. This track kicks some serious gluteus maximus. Massive beats hypnotise immediately, ensuring they're
Redshirt Theory's Blue Mind in a Red State takes the listener on quite a journey. As he describes it, ths song takes you from pain to letting loose brilliantly. Although the first half of the song went a little long, it does build up the "pain" quite nice to be released halfway through the song. Early on, the synthesized strings (I think) remind me of the
My review of the artist formally known as dj redshirt now the Redshirt Theory Track Blue mind in a red state First off a small but very informal discussion J Mr Redshirt and I are kinda in a love hate relasanship I hate him he loves me J That will do now for the review The into is really cool to this track, very trippy & haunting. reall
At least I think this is the track I am supposed to review but my copy says this is called Good Faith so I'm a bit confused. Situation normal then. I'm not confused about Redshirt Theory though because Aaron Jones (for it is he) has delivered some very neat music my way over the past few months. One of which, Its Been a Long Time (June 2006) got a Must Have rating from me a
This is my first ever review on this site and boy did I pick a 'biggy'! It has been sitting at the top of the charts for the past week and on hearing it, that is no surprise at all.It has been welcomed on the site as a whole as a great piece of work and at 9 minutes long, the listener clearly gets their monies worth. I have to add at this point that those of you who know my work, will realise, tha
Wow. This just grabbed me, straight from the start! The synth line is great, and to me it feels really big. Certain synth sounds that come into it during the first part sound immense, really adding to the overall feel of the piece. The drums are good and powerful, banging away like nobody's business! The vocals are excellently delivered, really complimenting the music, and Saphire really does
Awesome work bro! Way cool. The changes completely make this different. I could definitely hit the nightlife listening to this. Keep it up!
For those who don’t know me where have you been? Although I will give you the benefit of the doubt and introduce myself as the Singer-Songwriter from Serenity or the nutty bird known as RainyD here at Mp3unsigned.com. I would also like to point out I am no producer and usually team up with the incredibly talented Virus (just because he’s a G and better than me at production really).&nb;
As I've said before...this track is simply awesome. Marks' vocals are exquisite! Strong, dynamic, energetic...you engage the listener from the beginning to end. Production is top of the line, probably woulda had a little phatter bass line throughout but for the most part, this is an excellent collab. How does one follow up on this track? A remix perhaps? hmmm Definitely radio/club mater
Third time around for MP3 Unsigned's The Redshirt adn I must admit I was really curious to hear what they'd dished up this time. Warmed Up (February 2006) certainly piqued my curiousity even though - for my money - it wasn't the slam bang track it should have been. Its Been a Long Time (June 2006), however was everything that their first track had hinted at and then some. A solid
Redshirt - Moon Shine
I first came across this MP3 Unsigned artist when I reviewed his Warmed Up (February 2006) which I liked but thought that somehow it missed the mark. It SHOULD have been a killer track because it had everything going for it, but to my ears there was something essential missing. At the end of that review I wrote 'it's fairly obvious that if this is an example of what The Redshirt does,
Hello everyone! This is an honor to review the well-known, electronic artist DJ Redshirt, who happens to walk around here with no shirt on. Why is it an honor? Well, because he’s one of my favorite artists here on MP3Unsigned and I couldn’t wait to get to do this review! Now keep in mind that this is a remix (as it’s clearly labeled, “Embers (The Redshirt Remix)”), howe
Seen My Friends? This is a haunting piece of music. I feel a little like it is from a different level of existance---a sort of cloudy floating mist! Altogether an impressive piece of work. Thank You for sharing it.
I am listening to talent -- This is nothing short of genius! I appreciate good hard pounding dance music. It Is Right Here!
Can we say "Download"?? Good job!
OOPS I did not mean to push tis button,,, I am listening and my fingers were tapping and i accidentally hit it again I'm not sorry but it is embarrasing
I had trouble getting to listen to the music as my computer for some reason didnt engage the player here,, I downloaded it and I have to tell you that I am SO pleased that I DID. The song is fabulous. I love music but only music that is good, I have to download some more,, so I'll be back without a doubt.! ! !
I had already commented on this but thought i'd officially review... Now this is not really what i listen to on a daily basis, but that being said, I really dig this stuff!
I want to cry. This is an amazing song, another redshirt masterpeice anyone might think. however for once i have some things to pick at in this track, but again its not much. I'll as usual start with the negatives, the intro to my ears is to repetitive, could just be the mood im in but, really is to much for me, it also echos the same repitieve nature through the entire song, which im not to
Two words come to mind in this track, "Holy" and "Shi*t" this really is a cracking production, theres absolutoly nothing i can say wrong about this track, actually im lieing i can, one thing, and thats the vocals the get on my nervs a bit becuas they are few and far between, i would like to hear more of them, but when they do appear they fit in so well to this song. I'm litrelly blowen awa
Energy. I decided yesterday that I was going to write my first proper review on Mp3 unsigned and I spent most of the day listening to new tunes. To be honest I was a little deterred that the majority of the music on the boards was not my usual preferred genre/style(s). The majority of what I listened to was electronica, Hip-Hop trance and dance and given that my preferred/favourite
My Religion By The RedshirtOk, first I'm going to start off with a question...... What the hell is this tune doing on MP3 unsigned?Right now this tune should be sat in Records boxes across the globe pressed by some big European dance lable. Its that good! This is really hard for me because before I did any reviews (this is my second), I told myself I would never give a 10/10 to anything
Ok Here goes, no offence intended to the original but i like this much better, having listened to both i disliked the first it didn't keep me very interested through the song. the remix however is more up my street, redshirt as always has captured a great sound in this track, its a pleasure to review, purely because i listen to the tracks i review a hell of alot and usually loop them in the b
Well here goes this is my last review of this session, and im about to review what I assume is one of the heavy weights on mp3unsigned. I am basing this on the amount of QUALITY artists that leave comments on his page I also want to make this clear dj redshirt asked me to review this track, the way he reviews his. this is based on 7=10’s but I just don’t see the point, as the template us
The Redshirt (not to be confused with anything else of a bloody colour) is an MP3 Unsigned artist I have not had the pleasure to review as yet, but just reading some of the blurb on his page gave me much to chew over. A electronica artist from California The Redshirt claims he is ' is the start of a revolution back to the big beats of electronic music. We have slowly let our electronic
I’ll start by saying, I know nothing what so ever about Electronica, in fact I can honestly say I know less than that. And to be perfectly honest I picked this track because its description is Hard Dance, Guitar Rock Clash If I had to sum this track up quickly I’d say its ‘Edgy’ not in a bad way, in a fat way. It started off and right away you know this track shows a promise of things to
I cannot believe that not many more people jumped at the chance to review one of MP3Unsigned.com's most talented artists..I could'nt wait to sort this one out. The track is seriousley tough man, it has a built up aggression that is transposed through music perfect. I have always thought very highlt of The Redshirt..I remember when the dude first came onto the scene and his music
The Redshirt is a US Electronica producer. There are a ton of Electronica artists populating MP3Unsigned, and he is just one of them. I haven't heard The Redshirt's music until he asked me to review "Freedom". Took several listens and here is what I think.....
