Redshirt - Moon Shine

Anyone who's spent time on mp3unsigned knows The Redshirt.  He consistantly releases top quality material so I know I'm in for a treat.  Moon Shine uses vocal and sax samples from Lollievox's 'So Far Away', and its delivered in a funky house style.

The arrangement and overall style of the track is commercial, with a catchy groove and the beats (as expected) are deep and solid, driving this floor-filler along.

Lollievox sings along beautifully, complimenting this style perfectly and the saxophone sexes it up even more.  The bassline does repeat endlessly but the rest of track twists and turns to keep the listeners involved with regular fills and both vocal and sax breakdowns.  Music fans not partial to house might not like the looping style of this track but within its genre its a shining example of how its done.

I can't find fault with the production on this.  The levels are perfectly set and the eq is commercially bright and crisp.  Filters and fx are employed tactfully and its as loud and punchy as I'd expect from a professionally mastered release.

I was asked to be brutally honest with this track, and to be honest, its out of my league to find anything wrong with it, or to suggest any improvements.  Redshirt clearly knows what he's doing and I doubt there's any advice I can give him.

I think the real question here is not how good this track is...Its 'when will Redshirt get signed?'  Bets, anyone?
