I’ll start by saying, I know nothing what so ever about Electronica, in fact I can honestly say I know less than that. And to be perfectly honest I picked this track because its description is Hard Dance, Guitar Rock Clash
If I had to sum this track up quickly I’d say its ‘Edgy’ not in a bad way, in a fat way. It started off and right away you know this track shows a promise of things to come, and it doesn’t disappoint. The beats are tight and show a complete understanding of rhythms and counter rhythms. Not just in the drums but in the sequencing and even in the vocals. Speaking of the vocals,”Well done” to whoever wrote it. It’s catchy and commercial and the second harmony sets the whole thing off
So what can I say this artist knows their stuff, even I can tell that and I know nothing about Electronica. What I do know about unfortunately is guitar work and I hated this part. It was recorded well it was played well, It was just too late 80’s early 90’ crappy rock. I was never a fan of the L.A rock scene back then so I sure as hell aunt going to like it now. In my very humble opinion this track missed out on being classed as very commercial because of it. It it had had a very up to date drop D kinda riff happening then it could have been described as a Dance/Guitar clash. But it doesn’t clash it blends nicely and very pretty. So all the edginess that I talked about earlier in the sound was lost. To honest the track would have been better without the guitar instead of the one that was used, sorry.
That having been said, I really enjoyed this, and I didn’t think I would so well done ‘The Redshirt’ for getting my interests started with this genre
So overall I’d describe this artist as one who knows their craft very well and applies it wonderfully,
