Am I Invisible - 2011
Downloaded! A moment of calm between fixing the showerhead bracket and taking my younger son to the athletics track. Lovely ostinato with the rightly restricted amount of straying.
Hold's up just fine Graham. Wonderful composition and performance...
Not going to bore you with any personal guff as it doesn't really add anything to the music anyway. But this is me (a little while ago) :)
Another six months go by and along comes another Greybrow track. Seems to be becoming a habit with this musician; either that or he's avoiding me. Can't think why he would avoid me though (Ed: aside from the normal reasons) because I don't think he has ever given me anything I felt I could give him grief over, in fact I've even raved about a couple of his peices. Still he is a da
Now here's a name I haven't come across for a long time. For those Johnnie come lately's who have no idea who Greybrow is, a couple of years ago this guy was all over MP3 Unsigned like a rash. Since then things have been very quiet so it's good to welcome him back. As he explains on his webpage, Dancing On The Manic Fringes isn't a new track but a reworked, remixed older track al
that melody and the playing, the sound, makes me cry. I miss my father.
I don't know whether it's because I have been spending less time on MP3 Unsigned or whether Greybrow has but going back through the reviews it's been some considerable time since I came across a new Greybrow offering. The last thing I seem to have heard from this once prolific MP3 Unsigned artist was back when I reviewed Mon cœur en été (July 2006), a typically neat peice of electronic chill
Because he has a brow and it's grey I suppose, now any other stupid questions or can we begin? Alrighty then. Dunno what's happening to MP3 Unsigned just lately, the site is up and down more times than a Parisien tarts drawers, but that's neither here nor there either... I've had numerous encounters with this MP3 Unsigned artist in the past, in collaborations generally but also s
GreyBrow - Mundis Dementis
My first encounter with the MP3 Unsigned artist Greybrow (aka Graham Barrow) was in July of this year when I reviewed his collab with Slippy T called You Define Me. Very fine it was too (especially with further input by Virus) but - to my mind - it did nothing to define what Greybrow was up to. Then came another very fine collaboration with this weeks MP3 Unsigned's Artist of The Week:
Greybrow's Prisoner is now on it's fourth mix and I know the guy is probably a little frustrated with the whole process right now, so let me just throw this spanner in the works. There are some of my tracks that have been remixed way up into double figures, some tunes are just like that. The more you listen to what SOUNDED like a great mix, no longer sounds that way the next day.
Greybrow (aka Graham Barrow) is from the UK and - arguably - one of MP3 Unsigned rising stars. Most of that kudos comes from the music this artist has been presenting to the community since he arrived here during the early part of this year, but a lot of praise must also go to his exhaustive, incredibly well written reviews which - to put it bluntly - crap all over my scribbled efforts.
My Life Is Wonderful by GreyBrow Hello again, all! I'm Tedd-Z! Electronica producer by name, Electronica producer by chance! The person I am reviewing here, GreyBrow, is making quite a name for himself on the MP3Unsigned Messgae Boards as a respected reviewer, but is also a dab hand at the ol' music malarky! If you get the chance, please read at least one of his reviews, as not only are
The thing that strikes me about this track is the strong melody – it’s the kind of melody that you get into so quickly it feels like an old friend and you wonder why it hasn’t already been written. There’s a thoughtful, slightly deliberate air to this track, but the melody is so good, it feels rather majestic and uplifting at the same time. The piano lines in the ba
Greybrow, although a relatively new name over at MP3 Unsigned has established himself extremely quickly as a member of that site's community. This is partly to do with his friendliness, and a lot more to do with his reviews which are exhaustive, thorough and often completely bewildering. I've only heard two of his tracks and both of those are collaborations with MP3 stalwarts Slippy T
GreyBrow is an UK Experimental producer. I'm not really a fan of the Experimental genre, but when GreyBrow offered "Approacing The Event Horizon" (cool title by the way) for review by the Dogg, I had no choice but to take it. I haven't heard GreyBrow's music until this one, but after hearing this one, maybe I'll check some more of his stuff out. Here is what I think......
Second time up this month for the velvet vocals of Rob Taylor aka Slippy T. Earlier this month I reviewed his stunningly smooth collaboration with Deggsy - I Can See It In Your Eyes - which btw is just superb and highly recommended and here he comes again. It's, of course, no surprise because Slippy is one of the most sought after vocalists around on this little scene of ours and has b
