Hello Jay. another Wilson i see lol. Sounds like punk to me (a bit Joy Division too). Has energy and character. Thanks for the comment on my page. Love Wednesday x
Hi Jay, Due to increased work load and other projects pending I am planning to take a long break but I would like to say a massive thanks for all your feedback and positive comments on all my tracks. I really appreciate it. My last upload for a while will be Twisted Love Song which will be uploaded in the next few weeks. I would also like to say that I have enjoyed your music as well especially Ah - yes. I hope that you enjoy my last track for a while and if you want to check out more of my past work you can find it on last.fm All the best for now. PJ

Thanks for kinds words and feedback on my song, 1982. Really appreciate that. Thanks, Wait for Stars
Thank you so much for the kind words and the welcome message :) Will definitely let you know when I have the next song - now I feel a bit uninspired knowing it is Monday tomorrow and boring office work awaits :) Have a great week ahead!
Jay, Hope you're doing well my old friend. I've recently posted some stuff on my old page that I thought you might dig. Good to see you're still posting!
Thanks Jay, for the comments on my song. Yes to your question. The song is fiction and it is sang from the Abuser's perspective but if you really listen to the lyrics/especially towards the end, it paints him as a weak, pathetic person. That was my intention. Thanks, Wait for Stars
Thanks a lot for the really positive words on my tune, Resolution. This song is wild!! Nice production too. Enjoyed it. Thumbs up. Wait for Stars
Hee hee bizarre with the growling in the chorus. Actually a very nice eq ya got on vocal. Why do ya sing some (other) songs outta tune - this is pretty good. I see Mr. Ellis might be coming back. Hope he does. Thumzup.
Thanks very much for your comments on Fair Isles.. Happy New Year, and yes it is still at umber 1 on Acoustic and Folk charts :-/ must be getting on for 3 years now? Anyway I have been away for a while.. lots of life changes etc, but back now and looking forward to 2011 and hopefully getting new material done and catching up with old friends.. and good to hear you are still at it, with your unique style.. enjoyed listening :-)
I was wondering who left me the psycho comments and after listening to your tune, they aren't so psycho after all! You have a crazed, upbeat type of energy that is rather infectious... I had to give you a rating for my enjoyable time on your page! Thanks for the reminder to have a good time!
Dave, your lawnmowers would doubtless think the same of my garden. WaVeS wins, I'm going to finish and upload "The Mity Onslort" first, then the rest of you honest hard-working mixers can wonder what I'm up to while I rejig "Ah - yes".
Thats a bit of a sloppy mess to be honest.
C'mon Jay, it's time for a new song!!! Show and prove to me how darned rotten life is. I wanna hear it. ;-)
Seth reviewed 'Ah - yes' yesterday. Outta nowhere dude! Thankyou Seth, you get a gold star halo and I get inspired to play with ZynAddSubFX and get the next song out. As I said, I can live for a decade on a compliment.
Great diy early 80s punk thing going on - notsensibles spring to mind - keep your tongue in your cheek - it works a treat- even when you say something serious.
Hahahaha, always good to hear someone with a sense of humour. The mix is sh*te though and the vocal's too dry and breathy but it's pretty irrelevant when it comes down to the fact that this is just a good laugh and more power to you for just doing it the way you wanted to! Mad ba*tard...lol
This is great! I don't know why ,...but I like it. Very Strange.
Love the growling vocals, and ya got a great beat to work with. Yeah, this one's got potential! Keep rockin', dude.
sounds like an infectious song is being hidden in there.....it can't be punk if the guitars are mixed to the background, yes? guitars upfront, vocals need tightening (maybe sing some sections as a 3rd, higher).....like I said, seems like a great song inside, but you have to do what it takes to bring it out.
Raw and wild; seems like it was time to scream it all out ;-).
You've got am enthralled fan club here Jay. Yehhhhh! - jon
Hi, definitely has a punk vibe, which is cool by me...really liking the guitar sound and the classic 'Punky' vocal delivery, nice one, rated
nice one dude... brouhgt me back to the early Mr. Lou Reed from this side of the water...
hey jay long time no hear......longer next time plz :P..... just returning comments m8... nice guitar :) i dont know what else i can say to be honest
hi jay thanks for my review love your rock tracks, very retro Nathalie
Jon, it's in Eb (verse Eb Ab Eb Ab F then on to F Bb Eb for the ah -yes, chorus Gb Db Eb with Gb Db Bb to get back to verse) because Graham had a flattened tuning on his guitar. Your kids would have loved a line from the chorus that got cut, 'If the bread's gone stale then it's time for pizza'. Carol, glad you enjoyed the racket! Mark & Craig, I started this song on MC5's 'Kick out the jams' which explains the punk feel, Graham simplified his chords after watching utube. 80's? Maybe we've still got some growing up to do. Ba ba-la...
Class act Jay, I can't wait for the tab to appear in the shops! - I bet when I play it to the kids they'll say is it that Jay chap!! - loved it! - jon
That was fun! Reminds me of a punk band that used to play in my home town and that would have been in '78-80... Brought back some fun memories!
Mr. Jay rocks out! An upbeat fun listen! Ah - yes - I - enjoyed! ;) Carol Sue & ~CarEss~
love the punk feel and the lyrics are very 80's, great to hear you rocking! Cool lines.
Full-time dad with history of making music with whoever is willing to give it a go, or unable to say "No" quickly enough. Sometimes it just ends up back with me and the computer and mp3u is too good to stay away from.
I have finished work on a music studio in my loft. All I did was tidy things and plaster and paint the end wall before fixing up screws to put the boundary zone mic in. It's more of a pit than a studio really.Best line from next (The Mity Onslort) song? "I'm dreaming again, dangerous dreaming..." and I'm still waiting patiently for 64studio v4 from Dan, Free and the gang to record and mix everything with. I've downloaded AVLinux in the meantime and have tidied up the four songs I made as a teenager using it. The distro is a little rough but very stable and easy to use, I could compress, limit and EQ within hours of installing it.
..:: June 2011 ::.. Uploaded four songs from the days of my earliest music.Took all four tracks from tape and ran progressively more mastering on them through AVLinux before uploading.
This is what we want indeed!Real effort! unlike so many of the other semi-pro musicians on mp3 unsigned. This is what I like,.....a real musician,....no fancy gear/ studio,...no professional production,....just RAW talent.I do miss the "Bubble Pop song though",..wish he'd bring it back.I'm sick of hearing all the electronica crap on here,..and rap,...all of that,..ANYBODY can do with a minimal eff
