You're so pretty
Brilliant song, the piano discordant thing really grew on me as the track progressed, now cant imagine it without it. A few mix issues (vocal eq) but I really liked the actual vocal itself (and especially the great backing vocals) and the guitar sounds great as well. Think it just need some fixing on the mix, but the song is brilliant so easy to rate for me :)
Hey there Gaz! Good to see you around here again! You're sounding good! :) Flattered the one must be who you wrote this song for! :)
nice bluesy vibe, like it when the synth sweep kicks in, the piano in the right pan does need a bit more variation, and i think the vocal needs some work in terms of eq. nice one gazza :-)
PS, thx for the gracious download. Really means a lot.
The first raw take sounds just fine to this ole man's ears. Everything about it works perfectly for me. The piano in the back just coninually holding everything together yet giving it a break and uniquness too. Could learn a lot from you my friend...Rated. Dan
I think this is a really delightful blues song, love the vocal, and all the textures come together nicely, gets my vote!
I like the build up and the piano works for me - it kind of hooks you because it not the obvious notes being played there.It gives the piece a kind of tension. This really drawing me in - I'm interested to see how it develops.
I think the piano riff could do with variation. it works in some parts but not in others. There's also a lot of competition for the mid range and it's ending up muddy dude. Guitars sound sweet. "It's not easy trying to figure out what I will sing" - well i heard these easy enuff so it's can't be that bad lol. The uplift at 2mins was made a little ineffective by the production muddiness which is a shame. Next take should be good if i read your comments correctly dude. It's got a nice vibe (on the positive side) so gonna rate.
Hello, I am a Solo Singer Songwriter from Stoke on Trent.
All the songs, parts and vocals on the demo's you will hear on this site are written and played by myself and recorded on my basic home recording set-up. These are more 'note-book' versions of songs that I hope to get re-recorded soon either with my own band or as published songs for other artists to use and media placement.
I am currently playing solo open mic acoustic nights to try out new material and arranging quality recording time with other performers to complete professional demos for publishing & promotion consideration.
My aim is just to get my songs out there and heard through whatever media suits. I have been writing and performing for 11 years (i'm 25) and have an extensive back-catalogue of different styles of original songs ranging from simple pop-rock and folk to ballads and progressive conceptual music mixing influences from many genres.

I have taken a relatively inexpensive leap of faith and gone VIP! The guitars sound lush on this track, its a really cool riff and the vocals float over it very well. I would be interested to hear it with the distortion you talked about but in general i think it may well be stronger in accoustic form.Your guitar skills are quite evident hear and your use of harmonies with the vocals is subtle and very effective. A small amount of percussion to fill the sound out
Short, sharp and to the point, this is the first time Gaz and I have had any doings. It doesn't look as if he is new to this game though, or to MP3 Unsigned which is where I encountered him. Gaz is a twenty something from the UK who works mostly with rock of the old school variety mentioning The Beatles, The Who, Blur, Bob Dylan, The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd as some of his influences.&n;
This is a review of Gaz’s tune DON’T TAKE IT AWAY. I have tried to be honest and constructive. If no one agrees then hey that is fine with me. Go listen to the song yourselves. It is a nice tune. The song First of all, I believe a lot of time and sweat has been put into this tune. Mr Gaz uses an effective production trick by having the music come in hard after a
I AM - By Gaz Contemporary Acoustic music - a genre we're all familiar with. We've grown accustomed, ever since the sixties at least, to the reassuring sounds of a man and his guitar, or indeed, men with their guitars, drums, strings and all manner of exciting intruments. Stylistic music of all formations has flowed past our ears at one time or another, usually accompanied by a feeling of nicen
Ok first off im going to highlight the good points, what quality vocals! the lyrics are superb, they are layered and sound querky, but thats a very good thing when its coupled with an amazing melody! theres enough material in this song to make it very good, i would love to hear a final production of this becuase it sounds to me a bit unfinished in places, which brings me onto the bad points.
First off good track, i like the structure, this is a song that sounds a bit like a old hendrix track.. that might just be me im not sure, its a very good production its very much "old skool rock" which i love, it feels like quite a happy track to whcih is nice to hear! Theres some weird sounds in the song to... round about the chorus i belive, which for me now on my 5th listen breaks what co
