1982
one of my fav's for this site. I still think Toto would be proud of this....
Cool track. Nice lead in at the start. pacing is relaxed and production is first class.
Hi 1982 Just love this track, takes me back, brings memories back, lots of sounds that i loved, Great track, Thumbs kev
nice track! cool 80's vibe for sure.
this hits the mark for sure. I oftern come around here without you knowing, sneeky init :O)
I absolutely dig this song. I did hear the earlier version but this version has more musical depth. I am right back in the eighties, back with that first feeling that someone's broken your heart just a bit. Can't believe this isn't or hasn't been a big commercial hit especially with that retro no 1 song last year who's title escapes me.. Love Wednesday x
WOW!!! THIS IS GREAT STUFFF
Great tunes,I'm new to this site, just finding my way around.Have Fun!!
Oh my God, the classic sound of the Casio VL-1! What an excellent calculator that was. Really like this track, another pure classic 80's sound captured perfectly. Reminds us of China Crisis and would easilly find it's place in any John Hughes teen movie. Big respect.
I dig the 80's vib throughback. Very nice touch.. Great vocals for sure. I can't remember the first take but from some of the other commets I'm guessing this is a better mix.. I think this would work very well with a female singer as well. You could pitch this to a publisher and get some more feedback. Most are very willing to help! Take care Eric
Lovely warm synth sounds and a great bass line. Really good song. Gibbo
great song, top notch production. It is a very uplifting pop song. Thumbs up!
Very nice track indeed. A classic 80's feel with a modern vibe that mixes well. Very well written, and performed. A very sweet tale of love that has that innocent storytelling vibe that so many songs lack these days. A+ and an easy vote as usual. Keep the faith my friend!
As RaveDave, it reminds sound from the Pet Shop Boys with a great bass line. I like the melody. Really nice work.
Oh this is nice!, very cool, nice collab, well done & a thumbz up from me:)
Can't recall this at all - then again I am old and so many tracks have passed my lugs since Jan 85 lol. Nice and retro. Made me think of the Pet Shop Boys.
Hi Zatrick, Don't appreciate the assumption, Zatrick about the comments. I often listen to tracks at work and am not always able to comment on them at the time(at work) and do a lot of them the next day or later that day after work. Thanks anyway for the support.
You leave very generic comments on other artists paqes when you have a new song out. I have seen you leave 5 comments in 10 minutes. So you cant really be listening and just want a vote returned. 1982 is really cool. Dig the vibe. Nice production. Enjoyed. Thumbs up. The Nerk Twins. A generic comment returned lol
Very retro beat and blip's intro( i know the 1982 ref is later in the track), cool, drums are great, cool bass arrangement too, i like the chorus, very lifting, a track to dream to... rated
Music production def better on this version dude but i'm not altogether keen on the vocal and / or how it sits in this version. Been back and listened to the original and i think i prefer it despite it being rougher production-wise. The vocal sounds a bit washed out on this version - not easy to define what I mean - maybe a bit more middle/bass to bring it thru, maybe more reverb. Hang-on - just got to the "1982" bit (3min30 ) and that sounded sweeter - dunno why that bit sounded better? Double tracked maybe? I think ya need to concentrate on thickening up the vocals then it'd be better but good enough for a thumzup.
Honestly impressed, sir. Don't stop the music, I'm begging you. And also thanks for checking out Fust, glad you enjoyed it. Keep up with us! => www.facebook.com/thisisfust thanks again
I used to go and see a lot of bands around this time and 1982 was a special year for me personally. So the "sound" you've captured in this is deffo bringing memories back. A cool collab,
Does sound 80's, that aside this is a really good collab and great track. thumbs for sure.
It certainely has that '82 feel to it!! I love all music from that era! This track fits that criteria!!! I'm enjoyin that phat bline what with that fine string and fx's!!!! The excellent synths, drums, chord changes, vocals and lyrics all work together!! Great songwriting from top to toe including the rare lead synth sounds!! Baz
A date etched by a song...doesn't get better. Another solid collab with Deggs handling the back end details of beats and arrangement, while RJ carries the front giving expression to some lyrics from the heart. Well done to both of you. Thumbs!
Excellent slice of Eighties retro. Lovely electronic pop music with a fabulous laid back lead vocal . Thinking China Crisis and that kind of stuff.
Nice very nice, keep up the great work :)
Really like these lyrics and vocals, and Deggs performances and production are right on the money. Great song!
Well isn't this just fantastic! Love the new version and has captured the magic from the first one. Deggs brilliant!! WFS what a wonderful song. A blast from the past in the now. Brilliant collaboration guys.
This is awesome, lovely warm sounds, linked with a precision, I love the vocal, which is very evocative. To me it's very timeless in quality, a super melody, which has the 80's sound as it's archetype! Cheers, Andrew
Regardless of the fact that this isn't remotely my style of music. This is a great song!!! A well constructed, recorded and mixed tune. Very reminescent of the 80's yet still very 2012 all the same. Super job on this! -Mike
Hey WFS, James said it best...Brilliant! Deggsy is so spot on on this track! Love this song! Two big thumbs for you both!
I love this song! For some reason I get a Toto vibe to it. Just a great performance from both you and Derek....
Hello Wait for Stars - this was the first song i heard from you when i started using this site last year. I loved it then but this version is quite simply magnificent. The instrumentation by Deggsy evokes the 80s era perfectly - electronic pop at its finest. Vocals are top notch. The melody is sublime. Brilliant arrangement. Nothing but praise for this. Thumbs. James
