"Yeah Man" this song is bang on well written and sounding tight with light and shade in the middle, overall a very good piece of work. "Stevie C"
Excelent song.....
Great guitar tone! Super song and such a good recording. The mix works seemlessly except, if it were me, I would love to hear that vocal a little bit hotter! Probably nitpicking but you have a great voice so why not let it be heard? Very much impressed by this offering! -Mike
Nice main guitar riff!! This has a very cool, moody feel to it. Good rock tune. Very hooky stuff. Really cool vocals. Dig your tone. Fits great with your rock sound. Great outro guitar solo part. Nice work. Thumbs. Roger
Ahh great song sir, time based lyrics are always thought provoking, powerful stuff well produced. Assume the MM does not apply to the inspiration or vocal :) Great song. Das ist gut. Rated, Phil
Zatrick.....I use MM sounds occasionally as Dirk does - loops that 'come out' every year around this time. Not bad and good value. Trouble is they are only, as I said, 'once a year'!!
I dont know what MM sounds are. Is it to do with sampling? Has a light grungy rock sound with an extremely catchy melody. Great guitar work. Rated. John & Paul
Nice one Dirk :-)
Find it hard to believe this was all done on Magix, incredible sound Dirk, great work. Rated, Gibbo
Tight intro setting the scene for your rich vocals and great structure. I could be mistaken for thinking I was listening to commercial release as this is wonderfully polished. Fine work Dirk Ant
Am I safe now? Been there a few times. Panic city for me when it happens. Again, this sounds amazing. Great song and great performance/delivery. You knew just what to do. Kudos!
Toying with samples (Magix Music Maker 2013)
Okay, most people that know me on this site know that I'm quite 'anal' about production and recording.... I've reviewed some tracks in the past and there's always a lot to complain in that area ...then this comes along....
This is a very, i dont know... would have to be how i sum it up, thats not saying i dont like it because i love it! its different, whcih i like, the use of instruments is very good as well, organs, fulte, saxaphones theres just a little bit of everything in there which is nice to see, it dosnt for one second get boring or even to the point where you know whats comming next, it sounds like a hap
This is a very pleasant song – Music Maker samples, I believe ? – which once the piano intro finishes ticks along at a great pace. Lovely mellow music and smooth vocals, though I think the vocals are mixed just a smidge too far to the front. As the track progresses, everything is nicely panned and the production is sounding good. The main problem with this tra
When I saw that Dirk Siemer had “blues” listed out beside his name and the song title I wasn’t sure what to expect. The blues are a well-traveled path that has a well established set of rules, structure, style, and heritage. I received two surprises when I listened to this track. One-it’s NOT blues by any stretch of the imagination; Two-I liked it a great deal.
