wild ride in here and superb riffage...so much talent. I missed so much over the years ...this from 2009 is just pure electrifying energy with unbelievably nimble touches on the frets...thanks for steering the ship called MP3U for all these years...humbled by your talents and that 2 guys with jobs could keep this going is just ...well...as unbelievable as this track KUDOS on all fronts !
Happy Birthday!
Another fine track, good job and looks like you'll be getting another vote from me :)
its nice to see another heavy band in the charts i dig this song man got into it straight away voted !
man can you play!!!! great sounds and arrangement... and mix is well done.. fantastic...
Fine guitar work in this song. Nice getting to listen to your stuff.
Superhuman with guitars, but not with written humor friend. :) Very cool stuff. This reminds me of Japanese Rock music guitar styles. Listen to Janne da Arc and Siam Shade etc.
Intense metal guitar heaven that would do “Joe S” proud! Nice composition and of course wild chops for days! Too cool! ;)
Wow! This was always great but it now has a similar production quality to your studio pieces. It now belongs in the annals of SH expertise & homo sapien superiority!
DAMN, YOU KICKED MY ASS ALL OVER THE PLACE ON THIS! I LOVE THIS! The hard fast-paced steady rhythm and the crazyass guitar sounds riding shotgun to the galloping drums... PLUS, I COULDN'T STOP STARING AT YOUR SETUP shown on this page - man, I hate to end this but I was actually taking a break from bills and I've been on this page long enough - THIS IS THE 4th or 5th time the song has played!!! LMAO!!!
Great rock tune here. Really dig the guitar tracks. Sweet!!! Thumbs up. Wait for Stars
oh wow, I just groove, you shred man ! drums too eh ? nice ! NV
Back for more... wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Hahahah i expected you to be a D&Bass;_ed ? lol but your a Metal_ed instead, cool, Lovin some of those Major shearded arps, well fast , last time i heard sum o that style, was @ that hands/fingers of Malmsteen? ;) *Blue* ? < check it Youtube lol Thanks for your nice comment Superhuman, Jamie aka Mad_Manx:)
Nice guitar work. I can tell that you have a firm grasp of the inner workings of the guitar. Keep on rockin and you never know what the Good Lord shall bring unto you! Obviously you have been blessed with the ability and knowledge of the axe. Good on you for that!
Damn Talk about awesome shredding!! good .... man!
And to think I wasted my years With Cradle of Filth and Metallica... This is great stuff, Ive been listening to this stuff since I was like a baby lol... Im loving that guitar, nasty growling punch you in the face fantastic. The drums are amazing... Makes me want to grow my hair out again and jump right back into the mosh pit!!! Amazing music man keep it up!!! Morphex Sektor
I'VE LISTENED TO NEARLY ENTIRE LIBRARY AND THE VERDICT IS IN..............GREAT MUSIC DUDE!
Nice remaster - James knows his stuff! Already commented on the song - so you know I think it amazing.
Sounding good sorry i've been so slow getting my studio back together dave. Disgraceful shredding! Lovin it!
The suit has been shredded once more. Phenomenal.
Unbelievable ! Andy has mastered this awesome beast to some quality! Take Care Andy:)
All I can say is WOW! Rated and nominated!
Well well well bout time we heard from you again! Damn fine work. All hail to you and Andy. Slightest crit bass seems a little low in the mix to my tired deaf'uns but there again that could be me...
Took an already kick ass song and shot it like a rocket into the stratosphere....Dam! Eric Bad Love Junkie
The Master Masterer Mr. Oakwood has taken one of your best and made it better. Bravo!... dan
Ah, yes. Distortion. I love using it in my tracks. I don't think there's one song I haven't made that doesn't involve it. I find it to be a force that can do all types of friendly (and ugly) things if respected. I'll go ahead and hit play. I'm very interested to see how well this turned out. So lets have a listen! *play* We start right off with some metals and go into a rocking, slammin' song. There is energy in this straight from the start! I'm loving this. The melody of the guitar is rivaling as well. It's almost like an endless solo ripping through your soul, telling you to drive those chemicals to pull out that adrenaline therefore massacring the negatively charged elements around you with POWER. The segments where the tones change are very well done and aren't out of place one bit. It's a power song with a lot of energy, yet it has a lot of control as well. I felt like taking my DMD and slamming it around like a little rag doll but still having the control to keep it alive for another onslaught. Very invigorating. It may have been cool to hear a break down with some chug pushing someone into a corner with some anticipation but the energy in the song more than makes up my opinion of needing that. What can I say about the quality of the production? It could be better but why would you want it to be? All the major details are there. Excellent EQ separation, the bass sits in it's own room banging it's head to the music along with the BD. I think a better punch in the BD could crank up even more energy and definitely add to the power of the music but ehh... It didn't bother me a bit because that guitar is just ripping, man. It crushes anything in it's path and it means business. Don't mess with it! Could get you into trouble! lol I think Andy did a fantastic job, though. As well as Dave in the creation department. Nothing is out of place. The mix in it'self is strong and I don't think it needs to be messed with unless the punch is being a gremlin in mastering. But I think it sounds great. It's definitely NOT dull. It's got a wonderful amount of raw attitude and if I was to be talking about music, I'd definitely mention giving this one a listen. Wonderful job, guys! Rated for sure.
Andy's done a great track valeting job on this, polished with shine! Massive track Dave,it is a beast! and well done Andy.
Where have I been? This is Awesome,Love It, I usually keep it quiet when I push the nom, But this time I'm broadcasting it. ABP and wish I could again. Vin
WOW!!!! shine like a new penny, congrats boys.
Tis one huge beast of a track and Andy's done a great job,no mean feat...how many guitars are in here?;) Great percussion too, relentless.Yet another piece that makes me wish I could play guitar...awesome! Don't think we can rate twice..?but I do have another button somewhere...
Nice track to work on.
got a nom from me to :D reminds me of carcass hahahah real nice playin man good production to hi-hats a bit in my face and i wanna slap it out of the guitars way but at this speed probs nessery or summit nice one
Would not let me rate again..so..I'll just nom it instead!
Andy's done it again...brought this to the next level. Damn Dave tha's some killer song now. Superb articulation and variety of picking styles is very difficult at best but you've done it effortlessly here. Great finish to this original WIP! Enjoyed this! wonder if it will let me rate again?
Thank you for the comment you left for me. It's much appreciated. I had a listen to Distortion and I gotta tell ya somthing i think you already know. Superb man just superb! -rl
This is some SERIOUS shredding. Man, lemme tell you, you might have to play guitars for a track of mine some day! Love it. Rated.
metal is not really my thing, but these are some great, great guitarworks. the storyline is good and the drums are spot on, well programmed, are they made with ezdrummer? maybe just a little too much reverb on the lead guitar? i'd love to hear a roaring voice on this.. thumbs up
Guitaring aside one minute, the drumming is top notch.....right on the money..One man band me thinks.Dave if I had long hair I would be swaying it to this :) Im like you, music theory what's that? Like your style and damn fine licks in this great tunage.Thumbs up fella.
Some serious fretwork goin' down here,my fingers are bleedin' just listening to it.Don't know much about the technicalities of this kinda music, but its a nice tight production. Rock'n'R8:)
YEAH BOY Just what i needed - licks and tricks galore - got my angryface on and some serious headbanging litterally, i hit my coffee mug :-| :) Thanks man, superb!
Was here a few weeks ago, but just to let you know, yes, this still ROCKS!:) Jaw-dropping guitar work man! Mark
Fast playing but with a tune - I love it! A little bit bass-light imho but a good production otherwise. Love that wah-wah, played with taste and not OTT. A good rateable track.
Excellent! sounds really good ;)
Phenomenal. I feel like my Tuxedo's been shredded....
Very nice! Excellent guitar sound, and some nice fast chops! Great combination of 'crunch' and melody, something for every metal fan. Take a rate!
Really like the way the two guitars work well against each other later on in the track, especially like the deeper darker sounding guitar! Structure is worked well and its the right length too I reckon.
Wow...what a professional sound....you certainly know your instrument...superb sorry I havnt cimmented before. Rated
What can you say about this! My guitar abilities could probably fit in ur little finger , compared to ur playin! fantastic shredding! Defintely hi-octane stuff. simply awesome performance! mark
Very clean and exciting guitar playing. I have heard loads of awful shredding on YouTube - fast playing but nonsensical musically. This track has great depth - with beautiful fast melodies soaring like baby eagles who have discovered the joys of flight. Excellent.
man.....thank god i discovered your page ....ing awesome..........would love to collaberate with this material, my music not to your taste prob but i am the wizard at creating..........specially with material like this.... concepts! randy rhodes i can hear in thee oh metal wizard....anyway i babble. Great music. hav a good day........
GREAT!! Awesome job brother Dave, and dont worry about Satriani vibe, Satriani is Satriani and youre Dave "Superhuman" Kelly, the 1 and only.
Fantastic playing here Dave and as already been said, very accurate and controlled but still a wild feel to it. The sounds is just superb. All the parts work well together. Rated.
Brilliant. Think this may take over from Hellucination and Flesheaters as my fave of yours Dave. Rated. Craig
Still sounds great, I remember this one! How many fingers you got on the left hand? Got to be at least a dozen!:)
It keeps improving, the mix, you've replayed some parts right? This is a departure from your norm, but a great one. Back to your roots? Wow what a great digression at 1:42, was that there on 10/29? A Big Bowl of Shreddies!
Totally not my style but I have to say that I am drawn to the sound somewhat - could engineer this into different gritty styles, like it even though it is out of my comfort zone.
Huge Satriani vibe from this piece Dave! Did dl this at one time in hopes of noodling but have had zero time for playing...been a few months for me as well! Song takes you in right away with the tempo alone and the rythm track is killer alternate picking/galloping...very nice! As I said earlier, this piece has JS all over it, of course with the SH touch! Sweet arps and melody not to mention the tone your getting...new Ibanez? Killer stuff Dave...as usual...Enjoyed this immensely! just what I needed to start the day! A little bowl of shreddies....which will be the title of my latest track...if I ever get the time! Great stuff Dave!
Cant comment on the tech side mate, but what I can comment is that it sounds magic to me. Dark, edgy and a little psychotropic if you dont mind me saying(all of which I enjoy). It sucked me right in for a great journey. Bravo!!!!! Barry
Came back now that my PC is back online. WOW, it sounds even better through my home system. The wah is just the predator's roar (cat's meow... only deadlier). Taking for another DL & still waiting for that email on the pup comp.
Sounds more like you have been working on this for five months instead of not play. Just a rocker of a roller all the way. Advanced Riffology 101 and then some...R
Blown away, Dave! Deft touch with that crybaby, fingering is nuthin' short of awesome. Killer drum track to boot, what's not to like? Bass came thru fine on my headphones, by the way. Very impressive, very rated.
Wow Brother Dave, love the whammy in the begining, can't hear much bass though. Sure can't tell you haven't played for 5 months, you're all over that neck and with great accuracy too. That crybaby takes your playing to another level bro. You should be happy with the way this turned out for sure. Tone on that axe is superb. Could be my new favorite of yours bro. All buttons easyily.
Drums are sounding good dude. I remember some of your early work and this was a weakness but not now. Just plain gereat guitaring man! This is probably just me but the gradual build of guitars in the intro is possibly superfluous - come straight in at the 12 sec (ish) mark after the count-in? If I were producing it I'd also have some bass runs underpinning the guitars. It's free space/bandwidth so you might as well use it and monster it up proper!! About the minute mark some fast riffage could do with a little lift. I like the break-apart feel around 1min45 dude. Class. From here in it's just fine to my ears dude and rated.
Love it man!. Ass kicking guitar rock. Just a fantastic song from a fantastic player. I too took a download on this one. Thanks EZ Rate Eric Bad Love Junkie
Just browsing & saw this as latest track. I've lucked out a few times to be the first to hear your tracks. Cool wammy work at the start. There's that distinctive crunch palm mute, I like that digression down the neck at 1:45. Only crit is I wish it were longer. I'd love another 3 minutes. All buttons mashed & DL to add to the SH collection.
Looking forward to your solo`s - this is a solid backing track. Hope the baby`s OK brother.
Really got into this though through 'phones it's a little muddy.......enjoyed very much though and I was gargling a top line to it. Kevin Mooney
Killer backer man! I'm taking for a DL!
Chart topper fer sure, in need of a solo though bro.
Awesome track, but don't leave us like that, play a melody or solo, you're good in that. I'll wait.

Superhuman comprises one damaged Irish guitarist and random collections of notes composed during various bouts of madness. Some tracks are obviously influenced by vastly greater players I grew up listening to but I've been trying to forge my own style which is becoming more evident in my later tracks. Working on a collab with Kelly Mitchell at the moment over a backing created by Torquestra. It's a neoclassical piece which sounds very cool. Have yet to add my parts but am very impressed by what Kelly has put together so far.
When Dave “Superhuman” Kelly asked me to write this review, I think I knew instinctively that it was likely to be one of my more meandering efforts and that has indeed proved to be the case. You have been warned! So let me now try and explain why that should be the case. There can’t be too many people with access to a TV or the internet who haven’t yet seen the film of when Susan Boyle walked
It used to be that world class shredders (Ed: fast guitarists) were a rare event but these days I'm always tripping over them. That's not to say that I actually LIKE the shredding side of metal because I'm not so sure I do. Too much of a 'look-at-me-going-as-fast-as-I-can' playground thing attached to it if ya ask me. The shreds the thing, not the tune that underlies it. Mi
Was just floating by and discovered this artist, Thank the stars i did, malmsteen kinda topped off this style and I remember thinking fuck how can anyone top this guy........? rhandy Rodes whoa. So bearing in mind my above hero's and influences, Ive found this guy, fret work outstanding, composition unflawed, melodic composition top hole, Im gonna be following this guy closely an
God, I wish I were. Superhuman, that is. I find out later that Dave Kelly (aka the aforementioned alpha human) is merely superhuman, he's Irish too. Which, of course, amounts to pretty much the same thing in my book. Now then, if you are wondering whether I am dragging the Blarney Stone around with me to curry favour with advanced beings, think again. I'm merely going
Next up is a track from Superhuman called "Hellucination" another hard rocking guitar instrumental. All this shreddage is doing wonders for my rock cred on the site so bring it on lol :) Looking at Dave's bio on his page, seems he is a self taught taught guitarist who plays by ear and plays everything on this track. I've noticed from previous tracks of his I have listened to he has a very god work
As soon as you hit the play button, you very quickly realise that this guy can certainly play the guitar well! As a metal fan during my teens (and still, to a degree), I've come to appreciate a well-played solo! This one last for almost three minutes, and it's this solo that forms the entire basis for the track! While there's no doubt that the solo is both complex and brilliant, some may find it h
This is my first ever review, and I chose a simpler song by Superhuman instead of one of his masterpieces, so already you could surmise that I feel unequal to the task of reviewing a powerhouse guitarist. But still, I think an objective opinion can be made, on the basis of music-is-to-be -enjoyed, and I'll approach this from my own perspective towards music. The "Angels" are Superhuman's little
To day I will be reviewing one of the superstars of mp3unsigned SUPERHUMAN(Dave). I asked him to tell me about his background, the following is his reply: I am 100% self thaught, I learned to play the guitar by visualising patterns on the fretboard, to be honest I have a tough time remembering the names of the strings, musical theory escapes me but I learned by listening to greate
songwriting - I like the structure of this song, it loses my interest a couple of times for a brief moment, but then pulls me back with an interesting change, the way the drums roll back and forth from on the beat to off is particularly interesting, I hate doing that myself, but it does work in a track like this. I did find however that at the beginning of the track the drums were a little out of
My overall feeling about this track was pretty good. Dave is a good guitar technician. Dave's sound quality is excellent, and the recoding quality is also excellent. I liked the War of Worlds spoken overdubs. The song is about 6 minutes long. probably too long for average commercial appeal. however, for other guitar players and maybe even a movie score the length would be fine as it is. I wou
