Sounds quite industrial. Cool beats, great intro. awesome tune :)
very different sound, but really cool none the less. thanks for sharing!
So good it gave me wood lol, truly awesome knob twiddling,. Honestly love it :)
Always a pleasure to receive your comments. They always make my week!!
havnt been on in awhile andy, thought id check your page out, this is some nasty filthy stuff:)great acid as always, like the 8bit type vibe youve got running under, some very good automation going on with it,proper acid fella great track,
Quality! I didn't really know what to expect to start with but it really kicked off! I would listen to this at a techno rave for sure!
Hee hee... who'd ever think of naming a song after a the sound of an "instrument" it uses. Myte have to write a song called pigfuksdog now... Now where did i put that new synth? Powerful dude, very much so and I liked the chainsawish sound too. Good solo; I can appreciate the filter knob frenzy dude. Not always my cuppa tea but still an amazing track and nice in-yer-face production. rated
Yeah! sorry I'm late too...I missed me bus:)Don't know this got by me,thank God for the forum...well,may be not God. Powerfull stuff fella, wicked beats and the cut off solo is wild...getting a new controller tomorrow as it happens,so that will be the first thing I try,but I'll probably get carried away and break it(again). Lots of energy and may be a bit of anger?..definitely an ''in ya face '' track.Keep'em comin' Belatedly rated
sorry for arriving so late, cool breakbeat dude. In my opinion I don't like the four on the floor hi hats with the particular beat pattern. A personal preference. the synths are really dirty and have very high energy elements.I like the live twisting of those knobs I hear!
Not sure what all it took to create this, but oh my gosh! I could never get as technical in review like you do, Andy as I am not an expert ~ but I will say this has such a powerful energy! Almost a madness and anger, strength to it, wow! Kudos on your creativeness, for sure! I'd love to listen to this when I am working-out or using my punching bag! hehe... KUDOS!! :)
Easy rate this Andy.....YES can hear the 'Scraw'. An interesting breakbeat/hardcore techno type of track.
This is totally like all the tracks you get with the game wipeout...man I used to love that game. The music made it for me! This is very plump dj's. Reminds me a little of Scram, one of their early ones. Great rhythm, you got the breaks down a treat. Loving the acid squelchy lead up top, great control you have doing it live. Rated :)
I want to learn how to do this stuff, Great work .
Great solo, Andy! Scraw!! I'm diggin' it....nice piece of work, man.
"Scraw" is the correct term for this track! I'm loving the acid sound you use in this track with that fancy automation! The kick could be a lot tougher for my liking, but cool backing otherwise! Congrats on AOTW, btw!
This is great!! Love the industrial techno-esque 'in your face' beats and that acid sound is badass!! yeah, feeling this one :)
Hardcore Andy, loving your latest tracks - very high energy but quite dark too. Solo kicks ass - love the fact it's live too. Real frantic but totally in control. A must rate!
Late and missing out on some pure energy as usual!!! I am not gonna try and comment on this, as I know it will be a proper sorted track!!! Love it!!!!!! Gold star awarded Andy!!!!!!! Barry
Logged in specially to comment on this one. You are a legend Andy! If you played this one loud in a car and the cops heard it they would arrest you even if you were Jesus. A very violent and banging bit of techno this. Sorted.
nice one Mr. Stokes! that solo's off the hook. track is packed with energy, industrial and "in your face" sounding. great synth work as usual. one bad ass tune ;)
Love the name 'scraw'. Its almost like a horror movie title and this would so fit the bill!.The FX synths sound brilliant with the cutoffs and reso, they really work well together. I wouldnt like to play this in the dark, it would scare the hell out of me, a gr8 one for halloween ;) xxx
Banging. That 'scraw' sound is awesome. Nice synth solos. This is a real powerhouse track, listened to it really loud and it sounds fantastic. Rated. Craig
correction!!!! 3 DIMENSIONAL!!!!
Clear Bright and with great precision....the high notes in the middle actually did something to my teeth it reminded me of the ultrasonic machine at the dentist that amazing unrelentless high pitch that goes right to your core!! I think that your music has a life of its own, its two dimensional....Fantastic and rated!!!
WOw, andy some nice industrial sounding stuff here at the begining. You're speaking my language. Like the breakbeat that comes in after. Very nice KNOB twisting Andy. Holy ..... Very cool. Very Josh Wink. Love it. Rated and Nom'd.
Cool breakbeat workout Andy, the filter solo is damn fine Josh Wink would be proud mate. The end of the solo is a nice way to finish on the long sweepdown....cool timing with the beats of this tune.Hope to hear more of these solo workouts. The beats Andy, maybe a few more fills hear and there ...but that is very minor bud.The overall tune is freaky should be in the latest Hellboy film. TB303 versus Hellboy..........i think the 303 just wins by a rez to the solar plexus!
That's some really nasty sounds going on there. The intro sound is wonderful. Not too convinced by the kick drum to be honest, but being a rock fan, I prefer "real" sounding drums. Anyhoo, enough about my narrow minded thoughts on drums.... It builds up well and there's more than a hint of Prodigy goodness within the piece. Waiting on yer live part now. Dude!!!! Perhaps a tad loud, but I can understand how you'd be uber-proud of it. That's freaky as a freaky thing on a freaky day in Freaksville. Sounds pretty good to me to be truthful. Track is a good length, not so long it'll bore and not too short to enjoy. Very good piece of work. Very good indeed. T-Bone
awsome live action there mate! excellent synth work. Could do with some more beat variation? Loved the vibe though, felt very aciddy everywhere and nice and pumped up! you been on adrenalin too?!?! haha, seriously man, nice synth work
I hear the kitchen sink in this one Andy ;-D. I am waiting for Madonna to come in somewhere and flash us. This is way to good my friend. Dan
Quite industrial. The more I hear that 'scraw' the more it sounds like 'scraw'. Love the chopper type sound, one of my favourite effects (which I over-use!). Hey, nice kn*b-twiddling, there (you know, that has a whole different meaning in the UK!, do it in public, you get arrested.). I think the tune is just long enough. Good call. Very dirty, grungy and nasty. Funny how you can say these things nowadays, and be complementary! R8.
Full of squelches, squidges and general filth - can definitely hear some Josh Wink cutoff action on your solo there man, nice work. Btw lovely kick and like the eq'd hats.
Well, I started getting even more sick on Monday when my blood sugar counts would NOT balance no matter what. Since then I have not recooperated and am not doing well at all. This is not a complaint. It's a form of information telling those who are interested in my status. It's not good. Drs are running around with confused faces on their heads wondering, "What went wrong? We were doing so good!"Nobody knows what is happening to me. A 33 year old with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy is considered impossible or a miracle. I'm leaning towards a living miracle. I've fought for so long with this. I'm starting to wonder what for? I look at the children who didn't choose the treatment option: Steroids. Now I see children at the age of 16 dying of heart failure wondering, "Why wasn't that me?" So young. So early. I fight so that people can see treatment options WORK! But they're terrible on the system.I've lived with steroids/prednisone for my entire life. With asthma. With infections. With sickness. Prednisone was always the answer and still is. I may not be able to lift a single pound. But I'm one of the strongest men you'll find. I fight because I want to be stronger. I fight so that I can prove people wrong. I fight so I can make music. I fight for my wife to see me live another day. But I'm getting tired. My eyes are as heavy as my arms. They're slowly shutting. And I'm almost ready to go to sleep...
Yes, it's been a little bit known that I've been working on some tunes for a while and I haven't released anything for almost a year. I've been up and down in the health department so that distracts me. It's no excuse but I have been working on mainly just material. There is a couple songs in my library of "unfinishedness" that have some of these elements I've been working on in them.Mostly, it's been experimenting lately. Lots of reading, lots of education, lots of keeping up with the new technology while retaining the techniques of the old.Analog synthesizers are going for cheap these days and now is the best time to get your hands on one. DON'T WAIST TIME! Even if you can spend 10 minutes a day reading an article about anything music. Even if it means reading about something totally new to you. Ideas and motivation come from the oddest places. Keep an ear out! Andy
I would like to apologize about not being able to post lately. I know I have a review to finish. Unfortunately, I won't be able to finish it until I have recuperated. As most know, I have a lot of health problems and am bound to a motorized wheelchair along with being home bound and unable to leave my home as my body is extremely sensitive. What is happening is my pain level sky rocketed and Dr.s are thinking my Muscular Dystrophy is hitting near the final stage mark of the muscles becoming separated from the bones and the tendons begin separating from the muscles. Kind of like being torn apart from the inside. Hahaha! Well... It makes for good pain visions if you're into those sort of things. Anyway. I'll be undergoing some tests and may get a morphine drip. Or a nerve blocker installed into my body (I don't know where they implant them). Whatever action, they're on top of things so I'm sure I'll be back commenting and reviewing good as new fairly soon. I'm getting frustrated about having to become sick again every time I come back. I'll just have to keep coming back. Right? THAT'S RIGHT! I hope all are good and doing well. I miss you guys a lot and I'll be using my wife's laptop to make music. I'll be in bed for a bit but I'll make it out. I will. Ciao! Andy Stokes
So my journey to myself continues while I keep tapering down my pills dose by dose. Almost there. 2 months, max, I'd say. Been messing around with my gear a lot lately. For some reason it gets my mind off the trickery the withdrawal brings to my mind. I stay alert in the world of being sane and grow closer to the end of my descent like a plant foresting it's roots to the center of it's nutrients. It's all good in the neighborhood. The ideas are flowing. The video games are being played. Tomorrow I seek a movie. I'm tired of staying home with my misery. I'm going out no matter how bad the pain is. This motorized wheelchair doesn't stop me from achieving my goals. I've made many songs in my days and intend on making more. I'll have something nice for the acid freaks when I begin to comment again. You'll have something in return. I promise this. Have a great day and thanks for reading. Everybody have a great day! Andy Stokes
Even though I don't really have anything else better to do but sit around with my wife all day long and play video games and make music, I've been spending some quality time with movies lately. I've been catching up on some of em'. 30 Days of night or whatever it's called was pretty good. That was one of them.I've been working on music here and there and everywhere. I suffered a bad break with having going through pain management due to my pain from having Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. That set me back in my music area quite a bit but now that I'm feeling better, I've been working on some new stuff. An ambient song, a groove song, and a techno song. Been messing around with Essences' voice a bit too so I can practice and delve into the vocal world. I'm thinking a break beat song would be good for the sample she graciously handed out. I'm not very good at it! hahahaha! I'm an honest person and that's the truth!Well for all of you that actually read this, thank you for your interest. Hopefully you'll be seeing another good track from me soon! Have a great day everybody and enjoy the spring!
I've been working to perfect some old songs of mine to make them sound better and more fuller. I've added a couple new ones and have more. I just need to pay my space for more songs :D When funds become available, I'll be sure to add them as soon as possible. Hope you all have a great day and thank you for reading this!
Hi. Each month I'll be adding another MP3 slot so keep on the look-out for more of my songs. Andy
Considering that, of all the genres, techno is my main hate figure, Andy Stokes got away prettty lightly when I reviewed the very first track from him. Dance Floor Confusion escaped the Gilmore scalpel by dint of the fact that the track was more dance than techno, at least in my opinion. It worked very well through a big sound system and that's the main thing with music of this type; l
Aceeed!! Damn, those were the days huh? Like many of us, I went through a dance phase, going out almost every night and dancing my socks off - usually more off my face than on it if you get my drift. I was getting a little long in the tooth when the rave scene exploded although I did, generally, get into the musical side of it. However, that was a long time ago now and musi
The title? Don't ask me, I haven't got a clue. Andy Stokes is a new name to me from PM3 Unsigned. He's a techno musician from the US, and his story sounds very familiar. Came into music through Playstation's Music program (it's either that, Ejay or Magix innit?), then turned to Fruity Studio (also my own production tool of choice) because of the limitations inherent in instant mu
