River Flows In You
Absolutely beautiful!!! Nicely played, smoothly mixed and the strings just make you melt!!!
Back for another listen...as impressed as the first listen! Thanks Richard!
Not heard the original, but you've done a good job arranging the different instruments.Nicely played too.
Hi Richard, I would like to welcome you to this great website and say that this a beautifully composed track that I could easily write some lyrics for. You absolutely deserve my vote. Hope you are enjoying this website. PJ
A beautiful piece of music - the piano playing is superb complimented by the various string instruments and that wonderful flute - like the change from 3mins - nice contrast - excellent work - hope you enjoy mp3u - easy vote. James Bell
I don't know the piece you reference but this is outstanding music! And the electronica starting I believe circa 3:42 is very nice work although I think I agree with tbwig about the screechy thinkg but I believe you addressed that in your comments. Overall I liked it very much and it gets my vote!
I appreciate your feedback - I think I gonna like this site :-) Indeed, it would be a good idea not to do the mastering with headphones only, on the boxes the sound is too screechy. Well, a good reason for a remix soon... Also a good hint from Terry, the second part might sometime evolve to piece on its own. Thank you for the positive welcome!
I don't know the original piece but well-done to you for naming your source - it's the "correct" thing to do dude. It's a nice piece and sounds good thru my girlfriends hifi. Maybe the harp is a little intrusive and could be pulled back in the mix a bit with some more eq on its bassier notes? The electro stuff coming in could have done so a little bit subtler for my taste - it kinda interrupts the bliss of the opening section maybe too much too quickly. I agress with Terry's comments circa 5min12 about the screechy instrument and maybe it's also panned a little too far to the right? All my comments came from the 1st listen and sometimes the "1st listen" comments are some of the most valuable dude but don't feel they are necessarily "right" - a lot of it is about personal preferences. Anyway thumzup on a nice piece of music.
What can I say about this piece? You have all the elements I think are part of a romantic melody: strings, flute, harp, piano. I think you have placed them all so well in this rendition of Yiruma's piece. I like your bold and adventurous 2nd movement. The electro-vibe took me a little by surprise. I think you did it rather well, a tough thing, I think, to add your own flavour to an established tune. Not sure why this 2nd wouldn't hold up as a piece on its own, but it follows the beginning in an interesting flow from traditional to electro. The only concern I might express even tentatively, is the instrument that soars to the top around 5:12 - 5:20 the timbre is a little "screechy" (not sure what synth voice is used) at least on my system...not sure how it sounds to you...well it must be OK to your ears or it wouldn't be there...just wondering about that. All in all, a fantastic expression of rendering/interpreting another artist's work, and running with it in your own unique direction...a form of unstated collaboration ;) Thanks for posting. Looking forward to more!
There is not much to say: I always loved music - nearly all kinds, having a wide range of listening capability :-)
Some ages ago I studied some piano and keyboard, but it has been a long long time ago.
After some 25 years of music making abstinence I treated myself a keyboard and Ableton Live - and whoa! it still makes a lot of fun!!!
This leads to sometimes long nights with my headphones, punching the keys and tweaking the knobs. And sometimes, very rarely, I have the feeling the result is worth sharing - this is where mp3unsigned comes in.
I do hope you enjoy my contributions, I am looking forward to your feedback.
Sorry, the files were the wrong ones and distorted like hell :-) Reuploaded and I hope you enjoy.
