That is a great song :)) loving the beat and the feeling, the piano is sweet, catchy indeed. Your voice suits this beautifully. rating and recommending :)
Hi Xanthe. Right from the start, that rich piano grabs you and pulls you in. The song picks up and build well. Nice production. Im getting a bit of a 60's female soul kind of vibe, but in a contemporary way. (Dusty Springfield etc) Good vocal, and catchy vocal melody line too. Nice pop track! Good work Xanthe. Mark:)

Just a flavour of some old stuff for now. I've been away a couple of years and while the break's been good for me, I'm really starting to miss making music. Once an addict ... :-) It'll be a little while before any new material arrives but I'm on the case.

This is one track I really don't feel worthy enough to be reviewing, but I'll have a go anyway! I'll start off by saying this has to be one of the best pop songs I've heard on the site.. certainly the best song I've reviewed before. I listened to this a week ago a few times and its so catchy that parts of it have been popping into my head all week! It's Xanthe's first track in over a year, but the
Well here's a pleasant surprise because it's been a while indeed since I have been able to luxuriate in a new Xanthe track. I have known this vocalist for a great many years now and although I haven't raved about everything she has done, she's certainly exceeded my expectations more times than most artists. I am not alone in this thinking because whichever site you are on, you will fin
Drowning By Xanthe. To do this review, I was requested by the artist to pick one of the many good quality tracks on offer, so I decided to go off song title alone. At first, I went for the wonderfully titled "Lemonade Joe's Lonely Life", but whilst listening to that (lovely song, too, by the way and a fine cover, after hearing the original too - the kind of song anybody would be proud of making a
Dawn by Xanthe Hello again, all! For those who don't know me, I'm an electronica producer going by the name of Tedd-Z! That's what I'm told, anyway! If you have heard Xanthe's voice before, you will agree with me when I say she has one of the most beautiful and recognisable voices anywhere! Very few people on MP3Unsigned (or anywhere) can claim to have a voice that can be instanty linked to them
For those who don't know me I'm the singer-songwriter half of Serenity, here at mp3unsigned.com. This review is purely from a "listeners" point of view as I'm not a producer. When Xanthe requested this review I was pleased, as Xanthe brings a lot to the site. She's the official Mp3unsigned agony aunt, a talented producer and vocalist and a friend to all. I also hadn't had a chance to check out "R
Transitions by Xanthe When I offered to do some reviews Xanthe stepped up to subject herself to my scrutiny (as it were) but left it to me to decide which track to choose. Not wanting to influence my choice by actually listening to the all first I chose on the basis of the title. I’ve said in previous reviews that the choice of title is (for me) very important and this one caught my atte
Xanthe is one of MP3 unsigneds 'big hitters', up there on the message boards, loads of tunes uploaded, she's a popular character. Is she a pop star in the making? Lush strings are definately a Xanthe trademark and not many people wield them more effectively. Piano seems to be the choosen lead backed with orchestration - not too much though, its just right on this track. The snare and kick drum r
Well, basically I was on the reviews message board with this lloyd banks or whoever he is reviewing everyone, so i asked him to review our band 'Cadence' too, just for a laugh really! Dont really give a s h i t what he thinks! But I thought I would do a review too, because after all, its all about opinions, so its good to have a diverse selection of musicians to review songs. So I saw that y
It’s been a while since I’ve been to the site, so I thought the best way to find out what was going on was to offer to do a new round of reviews and the first taker was Xanthe with her song “Transition”. My last review of her music was a smokier piece, so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this pop tune. Fortunately, I wasn’t disappointed.
‘Body & Soul’ – a few wordies about a very talented Lady from Spyda I’ve known Xanthe for what seems like many, many moons (& even had the pleasure of meeting her once too), during this time I’ve become more & more impressed with her as a composer, lyricist & artist able to turn her hand to many musical genres, from dance to ballads & classical music too. She has
This song I had to listen to twice before reviewing, not because it was a bad song, but because of the fantastic structure of the song and the melody, with a soothing atmospheric sound and awesome piano work within the structure, it asks no it grabs your attention and expects you to see the journey through. I found the melody to be haunting yet refreshing, with a vibrant piano feel and deep synth
Drowning by Xanthe - Technical Review by Ffabbia One would have thought that a track names *Drowning* would thus contain everything but the kitchen *sink* - get it? - 'sink' 'Drowning', clever eh? Tomfoolery aside, it does not. 'Drowning' by Xanthe , or perhaps more accurately 'Xanthe's Drowning' is a 'fairy' minimalist piece, but with several layers of depth. What better
Music Box is extremely haunting. I think I can feel my life flashing before me in the form of a mental slideshow as I listen and take in the experience that is Xanthe. I appreciate the honesty and effrontery that come so clearly across in the lyrical adventures of this experimental playground. The music creates a truly mystical feeling, and I feel like I am on a
This is my first exposure to the artist known as Xanthe. I wasn't sure what to expect from reading her description on her site page. When I saw this song listed as jazz, I was a little cautious. I hear MANY artists on this site who refer to songs, or themselves, as jazz when they don't fit other categories or may have instruments used in jazz utilized in their music. Having said that let's lo
