Like this I do. Very well done. I too dig the bass... Dan
Bass is the main attraction for me in this track plus the variation in melody and dynamics kept me interested all the way to the conclusion. The filter FX on the vocal sample are very well executed and raised the overall feel of the track considerably. Combined with wonderful clear production throughout it all adds up to a great piece. Have i missed somthing? Why oh why has this song not been rated yet? to my ears this is a work of art that i would love to hear vocals to. To me this track would sound so nice with a female jazz singers voice over, its as you would expect from this artist so very chilled out. But be careful! so people say, with chilled out can come boredom if you dont know what your doing, not the case he
This track sets a very chilled tone throughout, one that would be ideal to listen to when in need of some nice relaxation time. Through the duration of this long track there does not seem to be many major changes, which means holding your attention and keeping interest in listening may be a problem for those who like music with a bit more bite, or for those with short attentions spans, due to the
Well, usually I open up with an introduction for the artist I am reviewing, but there seems to be no personal info on bio. Please introduce yourselves for the starting artists here at mp3unsigned and let us know who you are and how you make some great ambient music (By the way, congratulations on being number 14 in the charts)! Let’s start shall we?
Well onto my second review, and this one is certainly up my street so to speak, the title certianly fits the song very well, it feels like your in a dream listening to it, its very soothing and smooth. the production is first class as i would expect from someone who is obviosly a talented artist in the feild of ambient music. I listened to it a good few times now and i must say each time i li
Plain sailing from here, or did I get a stumberling block? na cant be? Can it? I got to admit this before you read on this is one of my favourite artists on mp3unsigned, I have played a few tracks of electric salmons and really enjoyed them to the point of over playing, but im a sucker for good music and at the time of night I tend to visit electrics page, im mostly wasted. So it’s more o
This is actually the second time I've reviewed this MP3 Unsigned artist although you would be hard pressed to find my review of Soothing Storm (September 2004) because no sooner had he asked me to review it, he took it off his page. So a brief precis of that review may well be in order and that's easy because I can sum it up in one word; lukewarm. Part of that response is down to the E
I enjoyed this track very much - I also think it could only get better with a few more layers of texture like a bottle of glitter dripping on a canvas around the edges of a silver frame. With repeated listens the song has a very real appeal and yet I feel the second half of the song begins to drag somewhat when it should be building on the capital made. Makes me think the song is either
If you are lucky enough (in my opinion) to find yourself at a bike rally in North America, you will witness, at least once, the burn out pits. That is where we pull our bikes into a bleach pit, lock the front wheel, and hammer in it to see how many gears you can catch before it grabs and you can’t go anymore. When a custom ch
Chillaxin by Electric Salmon Back in the late 19th Century, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (better know as Lewis Carroll) coined the word “portmanteau” to describe any new word formed from two or more words. Recent additions might include “Infomercial” or “edutainment”. And of course “chillaxin” being a blend of “chilled out” and “relaxin” also qualifies. Now, Lewis Carroll i
Electric Salmon is a US Electronic Ambient producer. I have only listened to one track in this genre, and ironically it was Electric Salmon's "Chillaxin". After seeing my review for that, he wanted me to review his latest joint, "Soothing Storm". I've taken a few listens to this track and now I have reached the verdict......
Robby Cobb by Electric Salmon I like to start with a title. The title should be the heart of a track. Bad title, worry about the track. So Robby Cobb. Who he? Let’s Google!! First up is Robby Cobb – ex member of the Modified Mind Round Table (an organisation devoted to body modifications! Robby Cobb So is this our Robby Cobb? Maybe. What else have we got? The
Electric Salmon is a U.S. Electronic Ambient producer. I believe Electronic Ambient is basically just Electronica with more ambience in it (get it - Electronica + Ambience = Electronic Ambient). Once again, I'm becoming a fan of the genre due to the potential it has of mixing into hip hop. Electric Salmon offered "Chillaxin" up for review by the Dogg, so here is his Do
