The Redshirt is a US Electronica producer. There are a ton of Electronica artists populating MP3Unsigned, and he is just one of them. I haven't heard The Redshirt's music until he asked me to review "Freedom". Took several listens and here is what I think.....
This is certainly something different. To me it has this nice Techno/Dance feel to it while it still remains Electronica. The track is pretty smooth. I love the voice samples. Found those pretty cool. The drum structure is something I never heard before, but it goes well with the bassline and melodies. The length of the track is a bit too long, but Electronica is meant to be this long. Not even I can rap a 7 minute track while still keeping people interested. Those horns that play really make a great addition to this track.
If you really like Electronica, The Redshirt has just what you're looking for. I wanna say congrats on winning the competition, man. You deserved it. With music like this, you have a whole lotta winnin' to do. Good one here.
