Well here goes this is my last review of this session, and im about to review what I assume is one of the heavy weights on mp3unsigned. I am basing this on the amount of QUALITY artists that leave comments on his page
I also want to make this clear dj redshirt asked me to review this track, the way he reviews his. this is based on 7=10’s but I just don’t see the point, as the template used to do the reviews are not laid out for this measure, so im going to do it the way set out above a 10=10
Over the weeks I have been playing allot of dj redshirts tracks, just to see if I can see what he’s about. He seems to post pretty much on every track, uploaded on mp3unsigned.and im guilty of this myself. There are so many quality artists it’s a crime not to, anyways the point been some of the comments I have read makes you think, wow this guy must make some ground breaking music. And I mean this in a nice way not a sarcastic manor. So to this review of money beats
This is one monster of a track it’s got plenty of muscle fully loaded with samples to make the ears bleed. For me the best part with out any doubt, and makes this track what it is, and that’s the rap(acro). it fits like a glove. Im not saying I don’t like anything else. Im just saying that with out this the track is only an average one.
Its mix of rock guitar, big beats, and lush melodies. Mixed in with a nice distorted bass line and enough beat changes to make the mouth water. I have been talking with dj redshirt over the past few weeks, and he has told me his influences, not sure why he needed to do this, unless he thinks I have been locked away for the past 10 years, it’s so obvious. His mix of prodigy and chemical brothers is pretty unique to his style, it’s a good job im a big fan of both artists, but again this for me takes something away from him. I am waiting to hear what he has got to offer that is unique to himself. I did play a really nice piano track on his page which was totally different to the others, and for me that’s about as close I have got so far to hearing his own unique sound. Again this isn’t a bad thing just an observation. There are a few minor production issues with this track mainly clipping, which I did make this clear to dj redshirt before I did this review.
Also I think the vocals need more volume a rap like that needs to be in your face.
That’s how I would see it, and a few others who have made this comment.
Anyways to finish up and hopefully allow everyone to enjoy this monster of a track. This track has so much potential with a little more time spent on the production side and he’s on 2 a winner I honestly am look forwards to hearing the final version.
So a must play for anyone who likes prodigy or chemical brothers or something with a kick and plenty of attitude
