This is beautiful...very soothing song and such a great vocal delivery!! The build towards the end is A+
Sounds great, really nice acoustic picking and rhythm, sits really well with the vocal.
Sounds so simple and inspiring making me think I can play that. I cant...Love the vocals, I believe in your song, you guys have done well. I hear your story, sounds great and keeps my attention. Nice clean sounding tunewith piano and strings making it more eventful and

Really nice playing/songwriting. Very well put-together.
Really lovely, gentle and quirky. The strings and dark piano notes add depth and gravitas in the break but the tender vocal is what makes the piece special. Can really see this as a movie soundtrack. Well done.
Brilliant! I would love to download Hole Puncher. I'm pleased to have come across you guys...
First thing I've heard on this site I would actually listen to, good stuff!
I wish this stuff was all over the radio. Can't get enough of this. Minimal but complex. Keep it up
Great tunes, love the delicacy, beautiful. Very appalachian in parts, but unique too, great work!
Impressive and striking song. Rated.
Gotta let you know this is still one of my fave ever tracks on MP3Unsigned and I've got it in my car.....can't remember if I have ever nominated it so for the hell of it, I am doing so today!!
Demo? Dont be daft...this is done ...such an amazing song - i cant help coming back! Love it! x
Still digging this track big time. When do we get see the lyrics for this?
nice balance on the track, thoroughly enjoyed it, such clear sounds. efrona
Great track you guys , thoroughly enjoyed it:) Rated and nominated. Saph x
I know I've heard this trac, but didn't see a comment ...so, I love this !!!the guitar and vocs sweeps me up and takes me to a distant place in the past where guys like Page,Crosby ,Stills and Nash,Simon and Garfunkel, etc played guitar and sang the same type of style Sonically perfect !!!I too am jealous !!! but must go on....woe is me Bob
Wow - Led Zeppelin still making music shocker! This is lovely work, people. There's not a single thing I can think of that can be seen as being bad about this - except maybe the fact I haven't made it myself. The lyrics sound good, but it would be nice to have them to read, they sound kind of bittersweet and fit the ambience of the track itself. As for the production of the track, you know full well the overall sound is just right - don't you? Vocals are top too - it's all beautiful. Really, really I can't say a bad word about this - except "jealousy". Rated.
Another Shed, classic..remember this too, quality guy's
Fantastic! can't fault this at all.
this is a great tune...Led Zep III... Mundy...good company. Very diverse bunch of songs here (probably down to the many band members!). Keep it up.
hey man, I heard this track early in the year, it was awsome then and is just as awsome today..total classic..but i gotta say that "been so long is my fave..no doubt..great stuff 100% rated Jase
been on this site about 5 months and finding my way around still! this is great stuff, as said before beautiful. rated. dave

Goodness, here is one I hadn't heard! Poke me next time I miss one of your songs will you! :) I've been learning a new recording program as my tascam broke so haven't been around as much, sorry! Love this tune of yours! You just have a great sound, and the blend is so wonderful! Gets my vote indeed! :)
don't know how I missed this one. haunting, especially the ahhhhhs towards the end (very Radiohead that bit) superb vocal, tremendous guitar playing. such simpole instrumentation but a brilliant crafted song. desrves the millions of comments is has.
this is the coolest track by you guys. trance though? is this you telling me you want me to remix it lol
Beautiful song, almost hippish (I hope you take that as a complement). I like that vocal styling you have with "torn inside" if that's the right words. Reminds me a little of the guy from Canned Heat there. Quality track. Rated
This is cool...........tis me ..........thanks ......
Oh Lads.. how did I ever miss this song.. I mean you guys just keep churning them out.. when I ever pass a gnome in a garden or an ol workmans shed on the street or perhaps a public ....ter I cant help but think of you guys! I played this one to the girls in my band, you may have heard of us 'Gay Byrnes hot bolix squirts' but they thought it was pregnant.. but I disagree!! I thought Yimmbo's vocals chirped and meowed conjuring images and feelings matched only in beauty and intensity by a bo derek/dudley moore love scene.. Yimmbo, oozing estrogen, seranades and smothers us with his soft warm auditory bosoms, kissing the napes of our necks with his huge succulent auditory lips whilst mercilessly frigging his auditory ganny.. by the time the song cresendos I can tell you there wasnt a dry eye left in my body.. beautiful lads.. simply sumptous!
Came by to listen to different perspectives, to learn and appreciate the power of good music and lyrics. I'm glad that I did...this song is very emotional, very vivid and appealing. Although not my genre, this is quality music. Ck me out some time at http://www.mp3unsigned.com/deShawn.ASP ratedx, The Kid
though it says torn inside, i find this a very romantic song, lets me think positive about sad things, this one is a keeper, downloading it ;) + rate!
"Beautiful" i can't put words to this.
Re-visiting for another listen. Still sounds great!...A masterpiece! Mark
You know something, I cant believe I havent got around to listening to your music before now... very lax of me, anyway I'm finally here to have a listen, and really like what I hear, I doubt very much looking at all the comments below there is much left to say, but I will say this is a fab tune! And like the strained vocal, fits perfectly with the song, excellent!
Wow - a great piece of work - fantastic stuff x
Thanks SO much for the Comments Everyone!!! Rogue of The Shed
This track works really well, good acoustics and vocals. Think you could make the strings that come in could be a little louder. I disagree with dawnsinclair, think the last ahhhooo should be left in, it ends the track nicely.
Back again for another listen and to say,"This is one shed that is full of quality tunes,ALL OF EM"You guys kick butt!
Back for another listen and to try downloading again...I have got the hang of it now. I am wondering if you have considered dropping the last (unaccompanied) ahhhooo which doesn't work as well as the rest...just a thought. Rest is perfect and I agree with foonk...you should get it to some kind of agency as it is a classic in every way.
back around for another listen. hmmm so perfect of a track. i bet you guys burn this on a cd and listen to it all the time. well at least i do
lovely guitar work, really pleasant sound. vocalist has an interesting edge to his voice, to my ears - great stuff
Lovely song. I can't imagine you guys remaining unsigned for long... but then, the world walks in odd shoes. Cheers. John Greg
Figured I'd run over here to the Shed to have a listen and a cool one.Man this guitar has an awsome tone and the vocals are outstanding and delivered with great authority.
very haunting...wonderful song....well done guys...
Its vocals are exemplary. Reminds one of l'espirit d'escalier.easy to get lost in its essence.
A great song, the vocals sound fantastic with the acoustics, it is all so clear and spot on. One I will definately keep listening to. Really liked the way it finishes too
I'd download this, because I really love it, but I tried that the ther day with another song and have no idea where it ended up in my computer....there anything else by this vocalist? As I say, he reminds me of Steve Harley and this whole track is reminiscent of Come Up and See Me (Make me Smile) which has always remained in my top ten faves.
You should get this track to an advertising agency guys - this is a classic song - added to my favourites very enthusiastically!
What a wonderful surprise to listen to this one....a great song with a vocalist who has something different to offer....shades of Steve Harley, one of my old heroes. Lyrics good with a hook you could hang your coat on. nothing overdone, a clean appealing production...just perfect, this.
Absolutely brilliant track, fantastic vocal performance, abit demis roussos (compliment!). Seriously good song!
The mighty SHED - hello folks. Sounding good. Just uploaded a new track myself. Looking forward to a visit soon. BB

Beautiful work and yet another side to The Shed. Gobsmacking vocals. Instant download. Now.
Nice clean guitar and fantastic vocal performance!! As someone mentioned earlier, vocals remind me of Thom Yorke (RADIOHEAD) - and I'm a big fan of RADIOHEAD ;) MoXoM
excellent tune here... I hear a bob dylan influence in the vocals, which is cool. Really nice guitar as well.

Hey hey. Without The. Are ye going to put some songs up?
Lovely playing, Johnny; and fantastic vocal, Jim. Thursday nights sound good
Shweeeet guitar... wish i could play like that =) Rated
What an earth can one say? Guitar work that is truly beautiful, vocals that are designed to fill entire halls with genuine warmth and presence. An entire track with a loose, free-floating quality that's as powerful as it is haunting. I've seen the future, and it's situated within the Shed. In other words, top marks, bravo, and please keep up the good work.
This really is good. Exceptional infact. Brilliant. And thats all i gotta say (again).
Great track! Yep reminded me a little of radiohead too think it was the Oooo's amazing building chrous reminds a little of led zepplin if you finished up with a rock lead guitar outro that would be cool but the song works as it is anyway !
Super song writing and performance. Really a nice easy listen which I enjoyed.
Hey....I really liked this song, it was interesting. I was really surprised by the vocals...they kinda reminded me of early Mccartney. Comments up for this track all the way...Da-yizar
Maybe a touch more stereo imagery on the guitars. Otherwise a great song but maybe not rock?
Nice all round song, very good vocals. Very clear guitar sound, great stuff, rated. Regards: Fatal X 8 ~ AKA ~ Destri
Back for another listen.Man this tune just flooows!Love it.

I like the guitar sounds on here. bravo! A nice easy going feeling here. reflective feeling too. This could be used easily for a song on a movie ST
rotflmao. Yimbo will be delighted. Lol. Cheers for the comments guys.
ahhh soothing guitar. you guys are really pro sounding. congrats on this awesome track. nice voice. very unique. i thought it was a female voice at first and then was wrong. great job
these great vocals are like a mix between gordon lightfoot and art garfunkel. i'd prefer a little bit percussion, tambourine, congas or something like that. nice strings at the end.
Love the acoustic guitar here. Good singing. It's calm and simple, but I like it nonetheless!
Hi...love that acoustic sound, nice and full!...Very nice melody, and spot on vocals. Lyrics are cool too. Great stuff!
Thankee all so very kindly.Rogue is giving us Shedheads some pointers on how to properly use this site.Your comments are very much appreciated by us all in the Shed.

"The Shed blew a great many people away last year with their capacity for churning out great rock licks combined with a pop songwriting style that defies description. They also gave me a Track Of The Year and narrowly missed snagging my Artist Of The Year award in a year of some truly incredible competition. So, yeah, I like them" Steve Gilmore, MP3UNSIGNED / http://rebelriffs.blogspot.com/
Following their eponymous debut in 2007, The Shed return with a new collection of 13 tracks entitled 'Goldfish Love'. As the album title would suggest a somewhat skewed perspective is emitted through the fish-eyed lens of this six-piece from Cork. Over the course of 60 minutes the band traverses what seems like familiar ground but often turns out to be something unexpected including a road trip that ends in alien abduction [The Cliffs], an homage to the inventor of the lava lamp [Craven Walker], the guilty pleasures of homemade jam [Rory’s Homemade Jam], the serenity of eternal love [Goldfish Love], self-immolation [Wildfire], social networking satire [Friends on MySpace], an urban mystic [The Weatherman] and the ages of man [7 Songs]. Add to this The Shed’s ear for an array of musical styles from dreamy pop to indie punch; acoustic folk to a healthy dose of cosmic wig outs and you’ve got a creamy aural concoction ripe for ingestion.
The album was engineered in Cork by Finny Corcoran at BPM Studios.
Mastering was done by world reknowned Masterer Bob Katz of Digital Domain in Florida.
The song "Goldfish is a lot like Ravel’s Bolero....the hypnotic crescendo ....it’s a nice song that builds to an intense punk rock level peak and starts in folk music land" Bob Katz
"The Shed's first album was good but this new one is brilliant!"

Goldfish Love was launched at the Savoy Theatre in Cork on Friday June 4th, 2010.
The Shed -Craven Walker- Download Single Release Track : Craven Walker from Goldfish Love Album (released June 2010) The Shed release the fist single from their new Goldfish Love Album, in honour of the 10th anniversary of Lava Lamp inventor Edward Craven Walker. The track is being released on Sunday August 15th 2010 . Craven Walker is available to download in the following stores: http://www.downloadmusic.ie/theshed/craven-walker http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/TheShed3 http://www.itunes.com/theshedAbout Craven Walker (info from Wikipedia): Edward Craven Walker (July 4, 1918 – August 15, 2000) was the inventor of the Lava Lamp. War Record Craven was a pilot in World War II, flying a DeHavilland Mosquito over Germany to take photographs from an unarmed plane. He met his first wife, Marjorie Bevan Jones, at an air base where she was with the WAAF. Craven continued flying after the war. The Astro Lamp After the war Craven developed an idea he had in a country pub. The pub had a contraption made by a regular who had since departed, a one-off device consisting of an egg-timer and a lightbulb. While it was rudimentary, Craven saw potential and set about perfecting it. He set up a lab in a small shed where he mixed ingredients in bottles of different shapes and sizes. He discovered the best container was a Tree Top Orange Squash bottle and its shape defined the Astro Lamp. Craven set up a company to produce the lamps, naming it Crestworth. Operating from small buildings on an industrial estate in Poole, Dorset, Crestworth supplied the world with lamps for 40 years. They were a success through the 1960s, symbolic of psychedelia. Craven said, "If you buy my lamp, you won't need drugs... I think it will always be popular. It is like the cycle of life. It grows, breaks up, falls down and then starts all over again".Naturism Walker was a naturist, setting up his own camp at Matchams in Hampshire. It became one of the largest in the United Kingdom. Film Work Craven combined film with naturism. In the 50s and 60s nudity in film was taboo but he evaded censors by not showing pubic hair. As a result he became a pioneer in this genre. Under the pseudonym Michael Keatering, Craven directed the naturist film Travelling Light (1959). This was the first naturist film to receive public release in the UK. Described as an underwater ballet, it was shot off Corsica and released in 1960. He later produced Sunswept (1961) and Eves on Skis (1963). Death Toward the end of the 1990s, Craven battled with cancer. He died at Matchams in Ringwood, Hampshire and was buried in a small cemetery in the New Forest. He was 82.
good work
Seeing as I spend the whole year pandering to you bastar... um people, I think I deserve to take some time and listen to what I want to listen to - just for a change. Although this has come up on the MP3 Unsigned review list this month, I had already decided that I wanted to start off the New Year reviews with me ould mates from the Emerald Isle; The Shed. In case you have spent the la
It's been a dogs age since I last went in The Shed, so I'm gonna deviate from the normal list here for a minute and play catch up with one of my favourite bands this year. Right now I have all four of the tracks from their MP3 Usigned page nestled away on my hard drive where they have stayed and more than likely take up residence. They've been well quiet though since the furore surroun
The shed, where to start. They have a very professional sound. I've listened to these guys for a long time now, and this might possibly be my favorite track of theirs. criticisms: only one, wasnt too keen on the chime in the begining, but then throughout the song it goes down in the mix, and adds a lot Positives: What really gets me about this song, is the vocals. i think this was a very good track...this is not even my preferred genre of music however it was very good.
This song reminds me of the sesame street theme song I so loved growing up in Stockholm, however all the musicians sound drunk and the singer is definately stoned. The bass sounds like it was done by a 40 year old wanna be session musician who didn't quite make it. All the backing vocals are drugged and slightly seedy. I wonder is there a sexual angle to all these men getting together in their she
Regular readers will know that I DO like a lot of stuff I hear but it takes a rare event to get me really throwin' me toys out of me pram and when I reviewed The Shed's 'The Parson, The Pauper etfekkincetra' (April 2006) I gotta to admit to even foaming at the mouth. Right now, The Shed look like having a terrific year because right behind this classic track comes a shedload more, if you'll
They say truly great songs capture your attention within the first 10 seconds. Well, The Shed's All Moist At A Bad Party does just that. Right from the glorious opening guitar riff to the genius first line "Don't touch me there it might be construed as innappropriate" you know you're in for a treat. Quite simply, The Shed are in a league of their own when it comes to humour and wor
This is the first time I have reviewed The Shed man what a treat I have had with my reviews this month. This track for me is one that I can play and play and play and not get bored with, and I do believe me. this track as had major kaneage. The vocals have been the highlight for me or more the lyrics. The use of effex on the vocals is amazing and very well done. Some really cool riffage
Good guitar sounds here on the acoustic and vocals and lmelody that slightly remind me of Led Zeppelin on "Hangman" and other tracks of theirs. Good track well sung and played.
What a great feel good song...excellent!
No prizes for guessing where this artist gathers inspiration and does the music making, the only question I would want answering is what kind of shed we are talking about. Is it shed as in garden shed (peculiarity of the British Isles btw) or is it shed as in the football term shed? Enquiring minds want to know. I suspect it's garden shed because it would be a good place to get a
Oh yes, foot tapping and hours of fun, i really love this song. Instantly you get a warm and happy vibe from the song, it really is so nice to see tracks like this one being produced. I could honestly listen to this all day its that damm good. Right at the start the harmonica gives it an instant punch of fun, and set you up for a song that really does tell a story. This is a song that wou
Well, this is not a style that I am accustomed to listening to, ....much..... I began dancing like a nut in a pub as this track went on, very catching,....not me dancing, the song. The recording is better then most I have heard in this genre, here or anywhere, everything clean, clear, vocals sound very well recorded, and the mention of Canada was just great, sonce I am canadian, living in
"Like a cross between the Divine Comedy and Lynyrd Skynard visiting the Pogues " That was my first comment upon hearing this track when it was first put up, and on the whole, I'd stand by that! This is a quality, foot stomping, get the blood moving, fast moving track. As soon as the track starts your foot starts going to the catchy tune, the musicianship is brilliant, and the band perform
