Hi Steve! Thought I would try looking up some of my ole friends here~ and hey, hey~ there you are! :) Always a positive experience in music, and being!! {priceless} =Kudos=
Great stuff, amazing blends. And always great to have some cuttin' in it. Nice to meet you and your music. i & i big dub reggae lover also. Hope you drop by my page too :) TR_
Love the way you never stop experimenting with music. Our hats off to you Mr Gilmore!!!
Probably my last release for this year is Inter Alia, probably because it will take me from now until Christmas to upload the whole thing. Weighing in at 39 tracks and over 3 and a half hours of playing time, Inter Alia probably counts as a double album by anybodys reckoning. All the tracks are brand new, not a remix or remaster among them. I'll be uploading the tracks in no particular order and - as I say - slowly upload the whole thing over the coming months. Hope you enjoy...
Ahhh the joys that are planted with loving attention by the musical gardener SG. The tight corners and narrow passageways of the multicoloured stalls can be felt as we wander through a rich aromatic scented marketplace. This song breaths the life of the sellers as they vye for your moneyed attention. The toothless smiles and grimaces and laughter as the time honoure
And now I come to one of the most prolific reviewers on the net today! Steve Gilmore has reviewed many a track of mine (and countless others every month), yet this is the very first review I've ever done for him! I know... I'm long overdue, and I have my reasons for being that way, but I have broadband now... there's no excuse! Despite this being my first Steve Gilmore review, I am still familiar
I listened to the song because of your comment on the base line, you are right it's worth listening to and is very good. I dont usually listen to this kind simply due to time, time i dont have. Like most people out there who love life and keep busy with the dreams. Anyway i will surley return to hear more of your stuff because it's freely produced and writting well. I like things that dont f
This is gonna be a few words of praise styel review rather than an indepth critique of the piece so I apologise in advance if you were expecting to read something about track structure, instrumentation, production levels etc etc. I've been searching around the site today for some cool chill out stuff & I remembered hearing Taifunami when Steve originally uploaded it, however I never got chanc
The artist this go round is Steve Gilmore. The piece of music he asked me to take a listen to is titled “Escalantanda”.
‘Bloody hell!’ That’s one of the two comments on this track, and I must say I couldn’t agree more “Bloody Hell”. This track is amazing. Its listed as a complete redo of an earlier track. And to be quite honest I don’t want to hear the earlier one. This one is the business. The track starts on pretty unassuming. The usual prelude to this kind of track, and drums kick in. All pre
Beware Sleeping Giants..... This title kinda sums up Steve Gilmore. Let me say first of all I picked this track out of two nominated because it’s listed as original, as opposed to the other track, which is classed as a remix. Firstly in my humble opinion, Steve is a producer’s producer; his attention to detail in all his tracks is second to none. This makes it hard to review beca

Reason 2.5? I notice there's a lot of reason samples used in this track, maybe a bit too exsessivly. I think the samples take the interest away from the beautiful Melodies hidden, tucked away in the back of the mix. The drums are spot on although 50% of the time, being smashed to the outskirts of the track. The samples could dow ith being turned down. I would like to hear this track without the
The million year man takes ideas from a million sources and weaves them into a one of a kind style that hits world and new folkloric artists and listeners. Mr Gilmore has an amazing amount of energy which comes out in his music. Not one to stay with one style this man constantly pushes the limits of the acceptable and makes the listener accept the unknown in a refreshingly airy and yet capti
Let me start by saying that I normally don't do a lot of reviews; but when something interesting comes along then I'm more than glad to spread the word. Steve Gilmore is the reviewer laureat of MP3Unsigned, but I was pleasantly surprised at his music production, and in particular, his song "Natal Nights".
You know when you do one you just gotta have another one to go with it.. So is it the red or the blue wire ????? Once more the SG sound filters into my head and sets my synapses dancing around like a late night summer party ... Listening to this you get a feeling of slight hurried panic as you realise that you sort have a choice to make but due to an inability to distinguish certain colour
It's about time I got my new year ass in gear and started looking at some of the artists who ply their particular brands of music here. 1st and formost at the top of my gottado list is Mr Gilmore. Not least because I owe himfor more than a little for time he always expends on listening and reviewing artists myself included. Ok on to the music. What this musical spot welder can't do with t
Blending of African vocals to the beat of the song merged will with this track, however, when I first listened to the song, I found it a little bit muffled, the beat was great though as it merged from one aspect of african sound to another. Vocally, the african choir was superb, with typical african vibes this song took a little while to get into but when you listen to the background effects and b
I'm a fan of Enigma and Deep forest alike and this reminds me alot of there style. This is the sort of stuff i chill-out to, so i was pleasantly suprised when i first heard it i must say i really enjoyed it. The thing that grabs u in this track is although what seems to me to be a fairly complex mix the sounds get u straight away theres alway something going on in the track and it keeps you intere
