Well I never. This is a bizarre song in its own right. Good work on the mix.
Great tune has a crackin bass riff.Like the John foxx feel to it,nice synth sounds used.Enjoyed keep them coming.
Do not know how i missed you but thanks for stopping by. New fan here. great track. wish i could do what you do.... Dan
I'm glad I found this! We never met before, but I like this! Well produced and very scary!
Very nice 80ties sounds alright, realy sets the feeling just right...guess it all has been said below, just an idea though, if you'd like to beef it up to the 2000+ that is,.. merely changing the snare and kick sound would push it up 20 years i think. R'd
this is my style 80's. you have a great deep voice and you got my rate.
Yes, this one sounds a bit familiar. Definite 80's influence to it. It does sound a bit more complex from when I last heard it. The reverb on the vox is probably a bit heavy, but your tone does have its own character and charm.
That is a crazy track.
I see referrences to David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Gary Numan below, and must agree there is a definate 80s electro feel to the song. In fact it could well have been a big hit back then. Thats just the thing, it sounds so familiar, it is almost as though it is the genuine article, and not a modern day faximile. I believe this is the key to making a song that works, it sounds as though it has always been around. Although I'm not really keen on your vocals, they are an improvement on previous efforts, and you deserve a nomination for the lyrics alone! Well done -Pete :)
obvious 80's influence, and is so authentic..interesting track dude!
Back for another listen...love it...............Quite intoxicating. Thanks for your comments on "Indiana Skies" too Andy :)
Lovin the 80's vibe. David Bowie meets Kraftwerk. Those synths sound ACE !!! I love the break down. Rated for sure !
Oh how very 80's of you, me liky a lot :)love the main synth sounds used, beats are spot on for the track, and your vocal line...just works so well, put's me in mind of viasge/kraftwerk, loved it, well done :)
Ik vind het een heel leuk liedje en goed lang I like it !!!
Depeche Mode is right...it's really powerful in a creepy way but mainly, the lyric is just so creepy felt I was listening to you describe a future serial murderer's background....very very powerfully Rudi and the best thing (by far) I have ever heard from you. Nomination (but I'll take it back if you turn out to be the serial killer later on. :)
Oh my GOD. This is great. Gone straight to second listen. Yes it reminds me of all those 80s bands. But specially Gary Numan. I wonder what the other 7 mixes are like. It is powerful . I know what you mean by one project preventing other developements. Dank Je Wel voor de download. Cheers ROGUE The Shed
welcome back rudy....this is dark and errie...very 80's...reminds me of many bands...depeche mode...human league...even a little duran duran...very cool dude...also a little ramstein...the drums are top draw...and the deep hoover synth is quality..top track rudy thumbs up
Hi Rudy Like Jen says I don't think I have heard you sing before. A bit like a Belgian Gary Numan!!It certainly has that 80s feel to it. Very catchy melody. Production superb too. rated my friend. Take Care Andy :)
Hey Rudy!! I really like this one!! and i don't think i've heard you sing before??. . .well i don't remember your voice like this!! i really enjoyed the listen!! i think you've done a great job with the production... love the 80's vibe... sort of has a MOBY feel to!! . . . but a PRUNEAU ORIGINAL!! . .i think this is a well written song. . .and has LOADSA personality!! great stuff!! x
Jeez Kiopo aint half wrong about the creepy chord progressions! lol They are creepy well i like tho! Liking the drums myself and the synth is cool! It is a very sinister sounding track and i think that your vocals really compliment it well! Nice one Rudy! Best of luck with it! Marty
Very original tune, some creepy chord changes! Hehe, particularly like the lead synths and the drums, very polished! Lots of power in this one.. good to see a new tune from you!! Rated :)
Rejoice! After a long break, mainly due to excessive workload in the so called real life, I have found a bit of time to finish a number of songs I had been working on for a long time, but never managed to really finish.
Sicne I experienced a stab of productivity recently, I looked into buying some additional mp3 slots. Then I reconsidered and went for VIP status. After all, if I can get people to call me 'your majesty', why wouldn't I?Don't be worried though, I will still be my modest, creative, brilliant self, and if you call me Monseigneur that's ok though, there is no protocol in outer space, after all.Check out the initial version of 'Christmas Is Near' and tell me what is wrong with it, and I will be forever in your debt.
It has been some time that I had trouble with my old ROland Keyboard's A4 key. I had been looking at a replacement, especially once of those new nifty master keyboards with lots of controllers. Then my eye fell on the KORG Microkontrol. It had looks, with the aluminium sides, that go so well with my other gear. It has 16 percussion pads, which is great. It is very compact, which is an added plus. The keyboard keys are kiddie size, but I am not a real keyboard player, so I can live with that.Sadly enough this will force me to spend a lot of time studying this new equipment again, only just after getting to grips more or less with the goodies I received 2 months ago. I'm becoming more of a technician than a musician, I feel. Still , being able to fiddle with sliders when mixing a piece will be worth the effort, I can feel that already.
It's been my birthday, and my friends and relatives have been most generous, that's why I have gotten a new external sound card from Edirol, the UA-25, with built-in Mic pre-amp.I also got me a brand new pair of headphones, AKG K271, with a particularly flat frequency curve, I am very happy with them, they practically allow me to make my mix completely with headphones, they are easy to translate. I only use my speakers for final verification now.
