Let me start by saying that the original is an absolute blow away track ! I love it, it shows a great deal of craftmanship in production and singing ! Therefore I was reluctant to remix it at first. I only used the vocals from the remixpack. These are already very processed, so no work there. As for the beat I created a new one using samples from a CM-magazine. For the programming of the beat I used the triggerfinger so the beat is more or less played live. The reversed piano in the intro (and furtheron in the track) was done by playing the piano chords from back to front and then reversing the audio signal. It was just an experiment but I love the result, it gives the track a spooky/floating atmos. No software sounds in this ;)
