MP3Unsigned Message Board: Ripping Audio From Films

Message

   Evening ladies and gentleman. I'm after the best piece of software for getting audio out of films for sampling. 

Ideally something that will enable me to point to a certain section of the film start and end point and just rip it to a wav file. ANd it will work on whatever format the film is in, DVD, DIVX etc.,

dont want to have to rip the whole films soundtrack first and then cut it up as i have something like that already.

Any suggestions ?

	I use windows\Accessories\Entertainment\Sound recorder. Just open the film in whatever media player then when its coming to the part you want just hit record on windows sound recorder, then open it in and audio editor and cut out the sh!t keeping the parts you want. I dunno of any programs you could tell it to rip from an exact point and it will do t all for you but i think doing that you have more control over what you are recording. Hope this helps!

	Audacity is excellent for this. It's a free audio editor but it can record direct from your soundcard so it should work perfectly for what you're after.
