Cry Freedom
old - but suddenly topical
Powerful and disturbing piece, in the best possible way. Rated.
Super solid piece!
Awesome intro. The strings and synths were introduced very nicely. That deep synth is so wonderful. Like a sleek shine slowly coming after you. Lovin' the strings. Good beats. Everything comes together great. Nice work here! Rated.
Listening to your master page track now. The music is very fitting, nice use of strings and the beat is nice and modern. The vocal clips are also very well matched to the musical bed. Well done
Excellent work. Mood is just right, I think. Production sounds great to me.
Great piece, I felt like I was at the Movie. I think Main theme soundtrack is in demand and you will be getting calls very soon!
How did I miss this, very powerful nice work my friend, productionalso tight. R,Rec
Very nice. Strings and Synth Brass are ace, wish I had those sounds.... Rated! ~VP~
Strings do sound great.....brass too.....speech is very effective and disturbing......perfect mix/production to me.......I have listened to this before but didn't comment.......perhaps it was my arthritis! Really strong piece of music. Kevin Mooney
Its pretty moving, great work - PhosforescentFog-
Awesome production, i love it!
tis brilliant
all i can realy say is omfg, what a track, love the strings, rated ! and dld :)
Fine piece of music, athmospheric, pensive and moving. Love the care, sensitivity and empathy I hear in here. The voc samples are perfectly placed; fab sad strings. The sirens really give me the shiver - very emotional! Great respect for this track.
Really enjoyed listening to your music piece. Deep and thoughtful. Nice creation James! :)
Could of sworn I'd already commented on this before.I really like this, it really flows nicely and you have really set the atmosphere with the use of the vocal samples blending with the music. I agree it needs to be longer because it really wants you ca=raving for more. Rated for sure!
Good atmosphere, i like the minor harmonies here. Drums is a bit too much in the front, and overall mixing could be more polished (but now it not bad at all though). Cool and deserves a rate:)
Lovely..i would rate it twice if it wanst wrong
because of you last monster i decided to recommend the artist. then when it refreshed this song started playing. its possible the siren is the same from the last track i just listened too. looks as though i been by back in the dj redshirt days. the beat is to die for again. dont tell anyone, but ive been getting into mellow stuff like this lately, and its showing in the tracks ive been making. they aint as close to this in mellowness and pro value, but its much tamer then what i use to do. maybe your being an influence? prob already rated before, but gonna try...great one
This is a wonderful track. I'm a sucker for simple but grand strings and the atmsophere you've created is amazing. I too am sorry it's not a little longer, but love what you've done here.
This is so good it scares me. This production is flawless. This music evokes a very dark feeling in me. ...excellent. thanks for letting me listen. Rated!!
That is such an emotional piece of music. There are not many tracks that can stir up feelings deep within but this one does it. The only negative comment? It is not long enough. It could be developed into a more lengthy piece - perhaps changing mood and showing that, no matter how bad things are, there is is hope. See - I told you it touched me! Excellent and well deserving of the No 1 slot.
The sample is a rare Mandela speech from 1964, so yes there was tons of distortion on it. I took out the worst of it > 6 Khz but any more and it degraded his voice. I thought it was much more chilling with some of it left in, anyway. Thanks for the comments
The first sample got some distortion is that on purpose.? Great use of synths in here, got some filmish style. Great soundtrack indead! Rated!
Moving Stuff ! . very good ......p.s. thanx for your comments ... regards chris
this is made for tv and film; very well done; ratedx The Kid
very cool track gr8 strings nice spoken sample hand drums? are cool really nice synth sounds and i love the siren :) this is a class track m8 dont know how i missed this but i will now d/l cheers thumbs up
Fine work on this piece!
This is a scary track m8. Voices are crystal clear. String theme is beautifull, comforting, in contrast with the base of the song...
different, i get it, not big on the style, awesome what you are pulling together
really really diggin this man,, great pads and vocals. and the kick is great
Sorry Dude, I realy thought I had been here and commented before:$ Got to agree with Andy, the vocals make it more visual but the music stands up on its own. With the vocal overdubs being so prominant, it makes me think of floyd, which makes me think of insense guitar solo's. Am i being a bit predictable in my wish list, yeh, but I am only a guitarist:( great stuff, very immotive, so a rating from me. Steve
very dramatic. the lead keyboard is a bit too loud in the mix i guess. has a war-like atmosphere, somehow. interesting track.
I like the way you produced it. the music flows well from the voice in the intro. But in my crazy world, i would have brouhjt in a screamin guitar pretty quick. Cheers and thanks. I use ableton live as my production window and Fruityloops and wavelab for utilities. My lives are recorded directly to the computer with a sure 58.-I wouldn't use anything else, its that simple.
great track, bro. Really digging this!
Nice ambient track man! gripping. Everything i would have said was said... just a real moving piece and really nice production too... vote from me
This track is unique, the mix of vocals and score send shivers. I wish I could have found a way to generate this emotion in the music I used to write. Keep writing and share your progress with the site. Inspirational x
Yeah I agree with all the below comments, I was gripped, it is a little dark and harrowing, certainly excellent for movie or tv drama, something like that. Good stuff.
Like the intro. as said below very moving. Production is top notch. All sounds are blendid very well, nothing sounds out of place. Top Stuff
moving, does sound like a soundtrack a bit. I thought it was good. melody and parts to this. thumbs up.
Someone mentioned a movie soundtrack. This song provokes images in the head. Excellent work Kiopo. Cheers Rogue of The Shed
yeh i agree with the rest, i like the voice clips, would work well in a movie..or alog o some movie footage..
very moving , well done. Brilliant use of samples, im a very big fan of using spoken word in music and i think you did it wonderfully. rated, and congrats on the chart place!
I could just hear this track on a prime time drama program. I think harrowing is probably the right choice of words considering the setting. well done, you captured the scene to a tee!! i rate this track, but I'd like to hear more of your stuff and then maybe you'll get my recommendation too. keep it up
I found this track to be mesmerizing !!! I could see this piece in a movie just gripping the audience with a wave of emotions. I love this kind of music !!! What else do you have for us to hear ? By the way, just say the word..I would love to put vocals to ([email protected])
Very dramatic and convincing score, with a sweet blend of classical and synths, you make it work seamlessly. A good and solid piece of music!
What a gripping episode of music. The vocals are effective but the instrumental would stand on it's own as a score.Excellent work. Take Care Andy:))
Quite why I chose this track when Kiopo gave me a choice of what to review is pure serendipity because I had just finished reading something about Nelson Mandela only a couple of days before and this remarkable man was on my mind. Kiopo's choice was either something from his games music or from his band, why I chose this one God only knows because you know game soundtracks are not my special
Hello once again everyone! Sorry that this is another late review. It’s been over a week and I already should have been done with all these reviews. So again, I apologize for slacking off, especially when I waited so long to even write a review for this song, “Victims,” which is a very dramatic song in response to a set brief he did a while ago, commenting on ‘victims o
