I'm Movin' Up (Featuring D'imperial of 'Masterbits')
loving the dry vocal effect in this track - its refreshing to here! main riff is great - reminds me of a depeche mode vibe. you sound a bit gwen stefani ! you even have a rapper ! haha - great work sonya
well done on hitting the charts with this - Great stuff.
sounds very professional and commercial, especially the lead vocal. the chorus may be a bit simple. love the verse. not sure about the rap. looking forward to your next tunes, with that voice you can do a lot.
I like the synth here in the beginning. Sounds real brassey. I like it. Rad sounding. Then your vocals come in with the good synth sound. Awesome stuff. That last snare hit before the changes is a nice touch. Good detail. That's what I look for in songs. The melody of the synth and the ultimate feeling of the song makes me picture going up in a tall building. Crisp sounding toms. Nice EQing there. I like how they stick out but are no too overbearing. The song does get a "tad" repetitive with the "moving on up" vocal. Just being honest but I really have no problem with it. I'm mesmerized by the nifty brassey sounding synth. Hehe. All in all, I think it's great production of sound. The mix is strong, everything can be heard, nothing's too loud, detail was payed attention to and it just pulls you right in. What can I say? Well, have a great day, Sonya and congratulations on artist of the week!!! I'll definitely leave a rate. Andy
Easily my fav of your tunes I've heard so far, Sonya! Lookin' over the comments I see a few others feel the same way. Vocals are superb on this, with just the right degree of sultriness to suit the dark mood. Production is fantastic! Easily rated.
awesome voice and a good production, my rate for you.
like this track. Got a great groove. Don't like the rap except the last bit with the delay added. I'd just have that bit repeat. I'd also add in some swirly bits to build parts up!! Good work though.
Love This Track. Love The Vocals
Well first song I have listened to of yours, and for the genre, (not I have to admit my usual choice of music), very good, personally I found it a tad repetitive, but it's got a nice groove as noted, and the rythm is very infectious, well constructed, nice clear recording, I have to agree on comments below on the the rap part. But it's a fine "poppish" song which should appeal to many. Well done!!
Oh I like this a lot! Love that Bond grove right from the gate. (You also have the look of a Bond Girl BTW... that international look... grrrr). I also get a taste of one of my absolute faves... Portishead. Have a tasty rate on me!
i am also feeling this song. good work
bone degree
you certainly are moving up..this is a floor filler..if there is any critisism from me it would be to take the rap out as its been done to death although the guy has a cool rap voice. good luck with this..rate
Strong and heavy synthwork at the start. Nice build of the track, not the ordinary kinda dance stuff. Would it be nice to give the vocals some sort of a twist-fx? Nice track!!!
Good dancey track, nice synths and bassline, and vocals are good but could do with a bit of layering in a few places to beef it up a little. The rap is pretty poor and should either be redone or scrapped completely. Apart from that this is another good track Sonya. Rated. Craig
Positive message, thanks! Hearing lots of commercial appeal. Something that would easily blend in to todays radio - club music! Nicely done lady, have a nom! ;) Merry Christmas, Carol Sue
Cool track Sonya. Love the beat and it has the dance worthy vibe throughout.. yes, maybe you could replace the rap with the spoken "I'm movin up" s ...nice one ;)
Agree with peeps about the male rapper! Should be nixed I think! Nice phat synth lines in the chorus and could use some slight variation on the percs! Very s....y groove to this! Your voice seemd a bit subdued in parts and could be brought up a bit! Still a quality track Sonya and worth a R8!
I came back to tell you both that I've had that hook section in my head all week so thanks a lot lol! Kevin Mooney
You're right its got a groove to it, like the vocals against the backing music. Think the main percussion is in need of some variation to be honest. Cool melodies in this, think the vocal chorus is good, but your other vocals are too quiet, I think you could bring them up in the track so can hear better. Like the idea of the rap as it gives it a bit of variation, but dont think the rap used actually works that well. Really like the synth at 2:37! Cool track, but think you could improve it in the ways I've said :)
Hi Sonya! Very nice track... also listened to Dont Want to Wait and Be Real while I was at Isound site... take a rating on me....very well produced music!
Hey Sonya, nice tune. Feeling the beatz and your vocals.Cool rap part to, Niceone
Groovy but dark. Nice. I really like the vocal too. All over wow. Have a rate. Too catchy not to.
Hi Sonya, like the chilled out vibes to this together with a kinda rock, pop flow going on with it. Vocals are nice but I feel they could come out a bit more, liked it rather catchy :)
Love the song, especially the chorus when the doom laden synths go all retro, very cool, rap I could live without (last line use maybe on it leading to your cool vocal bit) Actually think it's my favourite of yours a well :) Rated :)
Not a fan of rap either and not sure it's needed as an enhancement to the song. Some of yer vox has that wobble on it mentioned before and in other places it's fine. Also (nit-picking) there are some minor vox timing issues and ditto on some of the string sounds but I'm NP'ing. A fine song and as catchy as f4ck so take a rate for this and your improving prod skills.
hey sonya that is one cool pop vibe. i like the main synth. the only problem is the rap doesnt seem like it was written specifically for this tune. but i like the idea of having a rapper come in. But overall a really great tune
nice horny beats with decent vocals, nice production, love the hook - got some old-skool elements underneath espec the bass and when the male voc comes in. nice one.
liking the syth retro intro. and really infectious chorus vocal. slickly produced. vocals quite sexy actually. ah, the rap was a bit unexpected but it seems to work too. an easy rate. nice to see a fellow scots act on here too!
Hi Sonya, great hook to this both musically and vocally, I really like the synth sounds used, I'm not that fussed on the rap part, dont' think it's needed is all, nice touch with the vocals just coming out of the rap part.. I would love to hear a thumping club mix of this..enjoyed this a lot, best track yet :)
Wow you are so sexy in this one Sonya...the music is very cool and I agree about losing the rap...he's a bit prim and proper for this sex-fest to be honest. It wouldn't be so bad if his was as sexy as ur vocal. Repetitive as always but really didn't mind in this one. Rated easy!
Bloody hell, you've come on quickly, this is the best so far easy, you'r vocals are always good, but the arrangement is better, the production is a lot better, and nice choice of synth lead, thumbs up.
Awesome song, sexy voice! I agree, not really into the male vocal.
Best track you posted to date I think. Good vocals and tune. The production is not out of the top drawer but it isn't at all bad. I'd replace the rap with some vocal doodles of your own. A lot to be proud of in this.
Got me in the groove
I really like the synth lead line hook in the chorus.....mix is a little muffled but this is a funky number worth giving the full works production-wise......agree with Essence....the rap is a bit twee at the moment.....love the chorus though!! Kevin Mooney
Excellent sound Sonya nice and raunchy and very clear on the vocals. Production is very good. Love the percussion. Tend to agree with Essence on the male vox (IMO).Your vocal is good enough to take and carry the track.Rated easily.. Take Care Andy :)
Oh I do hope there is an intro to this track :) Wicked beat - neat track - cool vocals. I like this alot. It is sexy without being overtly sexy on the vocals....cool ;P Neat Suspense. I don't like the male vox though tbh ...you rock it by yourself and he sounds kind of cheesy to me. Very cool. Groove is slamming to me. Just the kinda beat to get DiRty too ;P Peace x - Keep groovin sister xx
From the age of 5, could play various tunes from radio, later composed tunes, added lyrics turning tracks into songs. Assisted in Studio for time, and sang in few bands ranging from pop, soul, rock singing covers & some original material. Experience picked up later became more involved in recording/producing own material.

Hi y'all, My original song 'Don't Want To Wait' recently was remixed by Skreech a talented electronica producer. He used some of the vocals from my song and created a cool, hip mix, more drums and bass orientated than synth. Wish to express thanks to both Skreech and MK Records for their support. The track has been released by MK Records, and is now available at Itunes.
Made no. 1 on Reverbnation pop charts, & tis cool. Anywayz, happy bunny:)
I have just teamed up with RedDress on my track 'WHERE IS THE LOVE IN THAT', and RedDress has just remixed the track with an amazing result - Have a listen, and let us know what you think!: Working link: http://www.mp3unsigned.com/showmp3.asp?mp3id=50227 Sonya/RedDress
