This is good pop song with commercial potential. Nice one.
This track certainly has Avril Lavigne sound. Vocals I like very much. Tho. not my genre, good for the style it is. Sonya Stewart.
Nice pop song, got a sort of 80's feel to it, certainly would do a bit of work on the vocs in some sections of the song, but it bops along nicely, and I am sure that teenage pop fans would love it.
The soldier song wasn't my cuppa tea, so I came by this one, which is really very cool. The twinkling hard-panned synths put my in mind of Pulp for some reason, and I think the vocal performance really suits the style. I'm personally not that gone on the spoken telephone section - I can hear what you're going for, but it's real difficult to "act" that kind of thing without it sounding a bit forced. Anyway, catchy as hell and great songwriting. Thanks for the download ;-) Cheers, Jon.
This is much better than the Soldier song. Very contemporary with a Kelly Clarkson/Avril Lavigne sound. Vocal issues have been raised below but aren't a big problem and overall a very good sound to the track. Catchy too. Rated. Craig

hey ho soldier, the point essence makes about the drift of the voc on the chorus are bang on .. however, this was not apparent in the version you sent me when you posted on ishouldbesolucky.com ( so you banned again for asking difficult questions? hee hee )... geiger is also right . the voc could sink a wee bit in the mix ... that would hide the 'drift' issue as it did in your original mix, however, sort this out on all counts and you have a stonking good pop song! ... if you have something better on the go, then ignore me .. but this has so much potential, its worth getting right! ( yes i know i was a bit more critical first time round, but its grown on me hugely! )... its a winner!
btw ...the phone call part is genius and works very well within the song :)
Great song, it may even benefit from going even slightly heavier (like early Blondie) as there's certainly a big hole on the market for that. I think the vocals drift slightly flat on the chorus at times and may benefit from being double-tracked (or even triple tracked) on the main female line, but it may just be the guitar lead line which follows the vocals on the chorus, or that it's a semitone too high for the the vocalist to reach the notes comfortably. After all that though still love the song and all the above is easily fixable :) I might have been tempted to add some orgain/keyboard on the chorus as well to fatten up the mid-range. Rated for a great song :)
The song is a good one...I like the lyrics. I think the female vocalist may have a problem being able to hear herself when singing in certain parts...?Not sure how this is recorded? But in the louder parts it sounds to me as though the female vocalist can't hear herself as well and is straying off key slightly... This isn't a dig ...just me trying to help - maybe her headphones are too loud if that is how this recorded? Because on the quiter parts she is spot on (which is why it makes me think it is a issue with music being too loud in her ear). As a whole the song is a good structure and the male backing vocals are spot on and well sung. I fell the female vocal is slightly standing out in the mix compared to the drums and other instruments :) I hope this has been helpful...Peace and welcome to the site you guys :)Rated because it is good song overall xx
Hi folks and welcome, enjoyed that .... great energy, guitar riffing sounds really effective, works well, excellent vocal work, the hi hat chugging away seems a little to forward for me in the mix, but that's just a minor, enjoyed this a lot, good stuff :)
