Artist Comments
Firstly it's an instrumental so no complaining on the vox hee hee. Secondly it's about my feelings over my son John going to Afghanistan. Thirdly it's in three parts with part 1 representing my sadness at him being over there and part 2 reflecting his very recent homecoming (part 2 is also an attempt at catching an early Steely Dan vibe). Part 3 is like part 1 but represents my feelings for him leaving in a few days. Fourthly it's still music so don't hold back on the bad comments. There are a few flaky areas between pt 1 and 2 and it's been a rush job over the last couple of days. I wrote part 2 a couple of months ago but I wasn't happy cos it just didn't work in the previous song I had it.

Began writing and recording songs in January 2006. Fundamentally I think I'm a songwriter. Genre is rock but this may change. I've put this picture up to prove that you can get a decent sound from guitars and mics n cheap gear even in a pig-sty like my spare backroom!!! Please note the ashtray atop me mackies, the yam stood on the box it came in and the totally bare walls and floors. Not included are the beer cans which usually litter the place hee hee. Many, many thanks to everyone who has commented and rated the music.

Home studio using a PC, yamaha keyboard, a couple of guitars, a Digitech effects unit and a mic. I use cubase for recording/mixing and wavelab for mastering.
