Forsaken Memory - Music that sounds like being hit round the head with a slice of lemon, wrapped inside a large polished five ton gold brick, or a small nuclear warhead!

Forsaken Memory is about Music. Nothing more, nothing less.

2006 has been a tough year for Forsaken Memory, But also one of great inspiration and achievement. Learning new skills and finding new grounds of exploration, Forsaken memory has reached a completely new level in it's development. With the Huge improvements in recording techniques. Expanding horizons and experimenting with new and innovative ideas has been the only logical way forward.

The Expansion of Forsaken Memory's repertoire, has meant a consistent increase in the tracks abilities to convey their underlying emotions, thoughts and feeling.

Founded by Luke Gibson in march of 2006 Forsaken Memory was nothing more then a name. which in time has grown to take on it's own meaning, regardless of it's original origins.

Forsaken Memory - "Forget Your Past | Remember Your Future" To live in the here and now and forget the mistakes of yesterday. The life we choose to leave behind, to become the person we hope to be today.

Planning the release of "Fading" Forsaken Memory's Debut promotional EP in early 2007 Luke exclaims "It's still crazy trying to get everything done as fast as possible and still trying hanging on to the shreds and tatters of something resembling a normal life that i have left."

"Forget Her" - One of the most emotionally powerful and personal songs so far, says Luke "Some of the lyrics were rewritten in the latest recording of this song to smooth out a few rough edges that hadn't been removed from the original. The song is about asking yourself if you can let go of the past and finding the strength in yourself to do so. Written about someone that meant a lot to me, an expression of my longing to let go of the painful memories, sounds rather sad really!" Laughs Luke "Even though thinking about it, I find that the Guitar Solo probably says more then the lyrics do on a spiritual level."

"Life's too short" - The first songs to be recorded at release ready standard. Although it has under gone several remixes and masters since it first came to light back in April of this year. "I found the lyrics of this song probably sound a lot more abstract then I originally intended them to be. If you read the lyrics as a whole they make quite a lot of sense, but each line on it's own seems to hold it's own abstract meaning of sorts. Or maybe that's just me reading into things too deeply?"

"Dead Skin" - "To be honest This song sounds far more serious then it actually is." Laughs Luke. Based on lyrics that were written by Luke at 16 years of age back in 2001 after listening to too many singers like Fred Durst He explains. The song became some what of a gimmick at college, a sort of 'Luke Gibson' Trade mark at the time. "I used to laugh quite a lot when some of the other students took the .... out of this song for it's obviously over extreme teenage angst lyrical content. Only for me to find them singing my lyrics and humming my tunes as the went about their day." explains Luke, showing a rather theatrical grin.

Plans are also in the pipe line for a promotional video that will be released exclusively on YouTube and Myspace video for the song Forget Her. The footage has already been taken and is once again awaiting the production stage because of having to go back to the drawing board ,after some technical errors meant that all progress so far had to be scraped and started over again. "Being an independent artist and trying to do these things by yourself, isn't easy!" Luke states. "Without the backing of a Major or even Independent Record Label, financial issues can be a major factor in the progress of the music."

Forsaken Memory presses forward into the unknown "Who knows what the Future hold for Forsaken Memory?" Says Luke. "Maybe nothing at all! And to be honest, who cares? As long as I enjoyed it along the way, then I guess it was all worth it." Luke smiles and nods with a humble grin "I can't read the future and I can't turn back now, I've come too far! Is this all I'm meant to be? maybe so! As I said, who knows? I sure as hell don't!" Luke chuckles.

Forsaken Memory In the mean time keeps it's eyes peeled for a willing label but until that time Forsaken Memory's message to the world is clear... "ROCK ON!"
