crazy and zappatastic this one, well done (and cheers for your kind words - much appreciated)
awesome track James, but then i'm growing to expect good work each time from you... love the chord progression in this and superb vocals as usual especially the tasting bit!!! LOL- RATED & RECOMMENDED
Very interesting and entertaining track. Nice changes throughout.
Nice production and arraigement on this one. Jazz from Hell was in constant rotation for me at one point. :) Rock on
good one james!!
Absolutely amazing, Andy, ingenial that is. It's sooo hard to believe that this is the work of one single person. Very classy how you are fluctuating between rock and jazz, melting them, combining them to a great catchy, complex and highly intelligent song. Top track with an awesome outro as well! What a talent!
Great track!Good lyrics!
First of all, had a good laugh with the lyrics, very well written, surprising. The music I find excellent, never what you expect, constantly evolving, I can see where the Zappa reference comes from. Nice piece of work, I enjoyed it very much.
eerie intro. sounds more like genesis peter gabriel era than pink floyd i think (lamb lies down on broadway style).massive riffs. interesting.
Cool sinister and ambient intro...Nice busy track with some crossover things if i'm right, hear some classical stuff mixed with modern rock!! Cool things going in this track, not my style but definatly sounds like a well worked on track! Nice hat breaklike guitarriff on the 1:30. Cool job!!
Very creative, love every bit of this from the heavy guitar riff, to the lyrics, brilliant changes and top-notch production. This tune has worked its way on to my mp3 player. You should shop this to a record company or something. Well done.
very zappa for sure, and the serpentine main guitar motif really makes it sound epic. very solid production and performances. what audio interface you using bro?
This is absolutley brilliant. Ambitous idea to merge all those influences but you've managed to make it work and make it work well. production, performance, Top Notch! . Thanks for the DL. Cheers :-)
Well I finally got around to commenting! This is an epic isn't it.....it's so far removed from anything that I would ever come up with that I can only hang my head and think what could've been lol! This is skill skill skill.....just version 1?.....what else to do with it?? I love my bed too! Kevin Mooney
oh definitely hear the Zappa infleunce in the vocal delivery and the zany musical phrases. the lyrics are indeed a treat. really chuffed that a "non commercial" song like this hit the top spot. a lot of interesting and unexpected stuff going on here. and a very unique structure. first rate.
Hi James, your Song is awesome, the production is amazing. KEEP ROCK!!! John
Good track! Sounds like Mr Oakwoods got the horn lol

Superb track James. Cool ending too.
Great musicianship, very clever stuff indeed... you are going from strength to strength. Maybe not my fave of yours tastewise, but for pure technical skill, originality and general outthereness, it's unsurpassed. So many different facets, and astonishing attention to detail. Very very impressed. Hey the end is neat as hell too; well deserved number one.
Hey congrats on the no one spot sir !! Cool Zappa influence and D Purple there too and yes i agreee lol Pink Floyd as well. Excellent recording !!
haven't been about much lately so I'm late to the party but this is great fun, James - well done:)
Andy - so much in this and crystal clear production as always. Love the vibe - it's now very original. Great vocals. Brill.
Saw Zappa a couple times in the 70's, both new years eve concerts (Long Beach Arena, ca.). I hear the influence. Great stuff.
Bloody smashing dude - other than the use of the word 'mound' which i ain't heard in that context before! Massive nom from me and rate.
Another listen, This must be the updated version, Love it !
This is right up my street. Refreshingly out of the box. I have seen most of your fav bands live. There's a bit of king crimson in this one. Nice work.
Not many would think of this but you've tapped into a subject we can all relate to! Nice lyrics and nice guitar solo. Keep up the good work!

Wow Andy. It is wicked awesome. I love those dark chords and hard guitar. The beginning reminds me of the opening to a musical with a smoke machine and colored lights. The lyrics are cute. You have a sexy voice. Cool ending. Rated. Go Andy!
Great track James, really cool job on this one. Deserves a rate and nomination - expect to see this one topping the charts.
Cool intro Andy, cracking vocal performance, liking the grungy guitar sound, liking the strange little key runs during the mid way break.. and comes back into the track very nicely..and the outro..has a weird fairground stlyee to it, very different Andy...good stuff mate
Brilliant song, interesting all the way through, the arrangment is superb, i'm out of my normal genra here but this is so so good.
Great track Andy. Quite oddball but very catchy at the same time. Love the instrumental break too. Great production. Rated. Craig

Well hell ya! I'll coment again... this is over the top... way way way better now... it was good before but now is just all sticks together cohesively! that bass is perfect in the mix, the brass stuff is amazing and the guitar is mesmerizing.... this just goes so many different places... I get the zappa feel obviously, but in places i get a real sgt pepper thing for a minute specially the end... maybe a little floydian... just a super job... o forgot to mention killer vocal performance... defo gets the buttons Mr Oakwood!
I don't know, but that's Jethro Tull vibe. I like it a lot and I'm going to download now. rated and a nom.
Remember the original track, but this is like a million times better, now that's what I call a production job, so much going on but it all seems to tie in somehow. Quite a wonderful track in every way in fact, oh and the end is quite amazing as well. Blimey it's a cracker :)

Well, they say music is the tool of self expression, and you certainly did with this (I mean express yourself!) Very creative with the production at intro and end, and the lyrics ... well very expressive. Overall production - sounds perfect to me. Much rated. Sonya Stewart
Andy, this is GREAT, Love it! Vin
Whoah, didn't see this coming! Ya put this bit to great use, love the lyrics! Musically fantastic, so many cool changes and melodic bits. While I can hear the influences you mention, none overwhelm this composition, I'm awestruck by how utterly unique this song is; I've never heard the like. Rated, recommended and more!
Killer intro! Get that DP vibe from the guit! Those horns are awesome! Also a bit of Peel the Paint by Gentle Giant! Monster change at 2:47! Get a huge GG vibe from this now! don't hear much Prog Rock anymore! Great ideas and a very coll outro! Loved it mate!

I began recording songs in January 2006. Genre is rock, pop and jazz with electronica dabbles on a few toons. It's a hobby for me. I record using cubase.
Home studio using a PC, yamaha keyboard, a couple of guitars and a Rode NT1A mic. I use cubase for recording/mixing and wavelab for mastering.
A strange fact - in 1976, the term "Mega" was 1st coined by me and came into general usage as meaning something great or awesome. I was an apprentice electrician at the time and "mega" was a technical prefix meaning "a million times". I remember that all my fellow students started using the term so maybe this was down to me. Nobody hardly says it anymore so i guess it's run it's course.
Another strange fact - i designed a telephone for use in a mortuary. Dead interesting lol!!!
Nice strong melody & energy to this track, would be great for the movies.
wow i felt like i was actually at a pink floyd concert excellent tune.
James Oakwood is a new name to me from MP3 Unsigned but hey, he is a man in love with his bed obviously so he's cool by me. He's also a rock artist which, as you well know, definitely fine by me. According to his webpage, he's only been writing and recording since 2006 and features a tasty pick of all his kit (is that a Dell?); the kind of stuff you need to make rock music. Even
Wooohooo!
A refreshing track about my fave place, I love it!
Keep em comming Mr Oakwood!!
