I can't remember hearing this one before. This one has a more epic feel to it, there are lots of dynamic changes in the song. I liked the way the song preogresses from the half way mark.

HI Steve and the guys! about time i got to another one of your songs ! lol you always comment on mine so its about time huh?! lol anyways back to the song. Has to say nice mellow intro with some sweet vocals! Really like the way the song keeps evolving and getting strongeer with every element coming in or going out. Really sounds good when the electric guitar kicks in! Sorry as you know im really of no help whne i it comes to genres like this steve! lol All i can say is production seems to be tops and the handling of every element (Bass, drums, guitars etc etc) are really well mixed and the recording quality is pin sharp to me! Hi Steve & Company! When it comes to music and genres...this style of music is one of my favourites. You perform this so well. A great tune you have written. The production sounds tops too! Heard this before and don't mind one bit listening over and over! I give this all I can! click...click! :)
Not totally into the heavier side of the song and the lyrics are hard to distinguish but the softer guitar parts and the build-ups and the overall song structure is interesting and worthy of rating... so rated it is dudes. It has a good vibe and moves along nicely with good contrast between each song area.
You know something... Iv'e have been particularly lax in listening to your stuff, and I am glad you did the re- visit thing, co's it has prompted me to get here and have a listen to the ones I ain't heard yet. alt metal aint it :-) I like this, what I do like is the construction, its for me well thought out, well written , interesting, and I enjoyed it very much. You know it got me thinking, there was a time in my life when I didn't listen to anything except Rock and Metal, anything else was crap... know what I mean?, musical snobbery of the highest order... I was younger then and zonked out totally.. anyway took me back listening to this, Nice guitars specially on the intro, but then I am mellowing ion my old age!, on my second listen and it's a ctracker.... nice stuff!
the vocals when they hit their their crescendo sent chills up my spine and that does not happen very often to me...I'm a bit jaded...great track I'd say.
good vocals...got the classic dither sound. im surprised i hadnt heard this one yet. i really like when the guitar distorts and the song takes off. im not fully aware of the ditheramb story, just that you guys are doing separate things at the moment....well get it together and start rockin again...

First of all, nice piece of work fellas. Heard all these before, but never really commented on many, shame on me. All the different parts of this song remind me of so many different bands, yet there's no overriding direct influence I can name offhand. As a whole, it's pretty much a singular piece of music. Bonus! You've got the fall back/build up style down pat too - class work, as Ricky says, in the last third of the track. Production wise, I don't hear much wrong here, I've got one minor problem with this as a whole though, the distorted guitars during the bridge/chorus sections just aren't loud enough. The acoustic style bits are just perfect, it's just I'd want more of a deeper, in your face sound on the distorted geets. Altogether - a class track that many other bands would give their Grandmas away for. Thumbs up.
The sounds are gorgeous...rich and harmonic...drums fab...I am a metal fan so it helps. Vox wonderful but I cannot hear the lyric and u know that's important to me, so could you please post in lyric section when u have time Steve? Love it tho.

I listened to several tracks, I didnt hear anything i didn't like! Mary's Lament was moving, really liked that too. This song is an epic metal song that has different personalities. I hear a mellow hint of Pink Floyd and a mixture of Sabbath, Priest... This all blends into a metal song that speaks of letting go, death, in my analysis. The song structure is smooth to frantic and back again and on to the climax. Now Ditheramb hail from Austalia which is good as two of my favourite artists of all time are from there, Midnight Oil, and INXS. So thats a good start :o) For a metal track this starts quietly with some nice guitar leading into Steves' excellent vocals, which are joined by the drums, and then lead onto a crescendo of the group kicking in. This gives way again to the more subtle music
This is quite a cool song, but as an objective listener, I become and objective reviewer, but don't get worried...lol first off, the recording needs some help, leaves a little to be desired, I can't really hear what the guitar is doing until it get's a little more excitable, but overall, it clips in spots, and is a bit muddy, but I'll get off my engineers stool and get to the song itself.

I listened to this a while back a couple of times then left it alone to have a think about it. A few more listens. Ok what passed my hallowed aural portals? I like this composition. The dynamics of the song are very well worked out and really give the song a great listening edge. From the vocal to the instrumentation it's as tight as a badgers ass.
Slow start but gradually built into a superb deep guitar bliss of madness and lost soulfull voice tones, this band from Brisbane Australia shows a lot of great quality for the metal/heavy rock community. The bridge work is great in this, with a moderate break halfway through the song, it didn't drown out the purpose of the song, to take you on a heavy adventure into the unknown.
