BIOGRAPHY Apex Are Neil Cambridge and Mark Buckley, based in the North-side of Cork City Ireland. Neil Cambridge is a freelance composer working on various projects for Radio Telefis Eireann and other independant production companies in Ireland. When working on a particular project involving Celtic/Irish music, Mark Buckley was commissioned to provide Concert Flute, Whistles and additional Keyboards to the Project. It was from this initial collaboration that Mark Buckley and Neil Cambridge discovered a common interest in modern dance/trance and electronic music and imidiately decided to form the group Filter, later to be known as Apex. Apex' initial goal was to write and produce a live show entitled "We Came To Dance", a show that would incorporate various styles of and forms of Dance/Trance music. On May 2004, the initial idea for the live show became a reality when Apex decided to release what in their own opinion was their most commercial track at the time, Fantasy, to a select group of Dj's working around the country. The publics initial reaction came across as being very positive, with request's for a complete album coming in on a daily basis. With this in mind Apex returned to the studio with a positive belief that the music written for the live show could easily be converted into a full lenght album of the same name. It would be another six weeks before Apex would have enough material to form the basis of their first album. At that Point the group were advised to promote the project on the internet. Apex went online on the 19th of July 2004. Since then Apex have continued to work intensively towards their goal which is the release and tour of their Debut album.
Quote, Mark/Apex. "If you try to play a game without goals, you are usualy left walking in circles with the ball"
