Great lyrics cool vocal delivery, overall loving your style James. Top Class :-)
I like this song, it's some nice music dude! Please check out my new song named "No Control" and also hear "RockStar" thanks!
OK...you got me.lol. your concept is excellent, vocals on point and i really appreciate the production.I really also like the titles of yours tracks, they were interesting subjects. I cant really see any flaws in your work. I really hope to hear you on the radio one day. Give my tracks a listen and tell me what you think."Andrell"
Hey, Nice Page!! Just wanted to let you know about my BRAND NEW SONG '' Why I Should Be Your Girl '' Please Rate It! Leanah
A lot of Billy Joel in this track. Great tune, well crafted. Light and easy-listening. Good job!
Your music rocks!!! Nice musicianship here.
I thought I would drop by and give one of yours a spin, will stick with your choice of no1 track.. Well considering you have only been doing this since 06 and this track is the middle of 07 I have to say I am impressed, you clearly have a talent and you have captured an era, (I am getting a late 70's vibe,) perfectly. Nice bass and like the drums n toms. Enjoyable for me James, nice work, I wonder which one it will be next time..
awesome track, very supertramp like. Thank you for commenting on wish you were here. I indeed started from scratch to get a much cleaner version, as you noticed.
This has to be our favourite track of yours. (so far) Very cleverly written and your vocals are outstanding. Very impressive and memorable. Sorry we wern't around a year ago to comment, but better late than never.
Wild..I clicked on the comment box to leave you a comment with one word firmly planted in my head.."Supertramp"...then the box opens and mr gallagher beat me to the punch. Very nice brother...very nice. -Steve
As a big Supertramp fan, I like this song - especially chords at the beginning of the chorus. Good song mate. Vocal could be a little bit more prominent in the mix. Definite rate. Martin
Hi James, Liked the bass coming in at the start the bottom end in general sounds good, I prefer a more upfront vocal but it kinda fits in with the style of the track-good work
well theres nothing that i could say here that hasn't already been said James, excellent tune mate, even though its outside my genre, its deffo something I'd listen too, great one sir :) good luck with it Jase
Hi, Nice track. Clean, melodic, gentle and catchy. Very enjoyable. Good lyrics too. I agree...has a definite 70's feel to it. I like the vox as they are. Cool solo. Rated and nominated. Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
Hi James, very enjoyable track, very catchy vocal, hearing a few different styles/influences in this, which is cool mate, nice retro vibe to this, super track and glad I stopped by :) rated!
this is really catchy mate, I like it. The melody, your voice, the music all hits the spot. its good fun and reminds me of being a kid for some reason :) rated!
Good track, what a pleasure to hear decent lyrics and a pleasant tune. Enjoyed listening, nice, well rounded track, thanks for that. Peace and blessings Deborah
Apologies for missing this before. What a great number this is. Light, airy, but most importantly, it's tuneful.
good production and vox. sounds very full. agree about the 70's comments which I think is a compliment because back then the songwriters wrote the songs, not the producers and singers. To me it sounds like Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel and Brian May. Pop with essence. Good work.
interesting mix of genres for sure - beginning definitely reminds me almost of queen or some older rock/pop song or band. the rest of the track is good - some of the ways you use the chords of the piano and the melody of the vocals reminds me of ben folds, which if you are using piano and vocals, i think is a good thing, commercially or otherwise. a catchy melody without beating it into your head and decent lyrics. bass is a bit downplayed for how fun it is. bridge is done well - leaves you wanting more bridge but sends you back to the main theme. all in all a fun track. rate.
this is a good pro quality track. you have a really good voice and i love that bass line. i'm a sucker for a good bass line. have a rate. =]
Nice pop tune . . . Good vox. this song easily has commercial appeal. Rated.
I really like this one a lot. It reminds me of something I heard ages ago, but I can't put my finger on it! Very &0's too! Well done and rated too! :-D Steven.
We appreciate ur comment and opinion on our song "A Soldier's Blues" We made the song for all men and women being thrown into a war that shouldnt be going on right now. Its not addressed only for US Troops. Its for all who are being sent to fight in a war b/c of politics or what ever the case may be. We dont agree with the war going on and just wish everyone, man and women anywhere in this world that had to fight or are being sent to fight for a country to come back home safely to their families. Be well and wish ur son the best of luck! -TG
one of my fav groups of all time is supertramp and if they had a new hit song this would be it"sonicreation"
Yeah it has some 70's feeling in it, very sweet guitar and vox. The drums seemed a bit thin (for me). I'm not big fan of the genre, but your musical skills are certainly good (unlike mine lol), rated.
Rated from me. Lovin the tongue in cheek lyric. Good all the way from into to outro. Love the lyric 'kids left me and the wife' and the weatherfront mention. Personal reflective and up beat... one of the best guys on here in my opinion so there :)
Very seventies sound. Like the feel and that chorus is a soft grabber. Nice.....
Love the slide guitar touches in there. Bridge section is nice too. Good stuff.
Very strong track, especially the chorus. The intro grabbed me straight away. I'd like to hear it with some live drums, i reckon that would take it to the next level. Thanks for the listen. Rated.
Very strong track, a really strong sound that is very contemporary yet strangely seems like it could happily fit in with some 70's supergroup (this is a very big compliment by the way hahaha) Not sure why I waited so long to comment as loved it from the off lol, but glad I did as track is much stronger in this revision. I really love it, and I get where Mick is coming. but I get the same feeling of inadequacy when I listen to both his and your stuff (and Fred and Mark lol) hahaha :) Rated and stuff :)
Hey Andy m8, hows ya. OK....been thru this a few times tonight(since i got a little time). I gotta just say tho.......ur a very clever musician!. The structure, composition, progressions, just everything you do seems to turn good for you. I pay particular attention to the drums on here.......i get so jealous sometimes......great sound m8. The melody of the song sits so well too with the backing....like theyre just made for each other. Im liking the piano....not often heard nowdays in this fashion. As i said, very clever playing.....and it shows really well on your bass work.....very clean and subtle. I feel like throwin in the towel against guys like you , and Gieger.....fred forester....Mark Ellis...etc etc etc ...god u guys really give me such a doing in the production side of things. Rated, and Nom`t m8.
thanks for the cs and r,first off great intro floydian(he he is that even a word)guitar and paino are sweet, beatles, floyd, early blur, hearin all these elements, lyrics are happy as larry:),that paino is really good, sounds very good mate a lot of work has gone into this and it shows, great wee track, all the rs,:)
Very well put together piece, the arrangment is great, vox sound good too.Rated
Hello... Upbeat is true as the jay says. Its got brit pop vibes, melodies are nice and the vocal works... A tad tweaking here and there would help a touch (volumes) but thats minor as its something that only a studio can sort out, different ears different people. The song does have an old school sound but thats in its favour... Regards Dave
Certainly upbeat! Differsn to what ive been listening to all day! But i like it, not my usual cup of tea bt youve got a good voice and this a good song, perhaps ideally bring vox up - tho it does sound retro how it is. Rated.
sounds great to me dude, your voice suits this tracks perfectly, like the piano. enjoyed the lyrics too. bit of guitar work at the end, yeah, id say this is a well rounded track. enjoyed (:
SADNESS AND JOY MIXED. MY OLD BEST POP SONG "BURST" HAS JUST BEEN OUSTED FROM IT'S POSITION ON THE HOME PAGE BY THIS SONG.
This is by no means a flop mate, Great drums in this one. I like them a lot, overall this track is TOP STUFF!! great production!! Very easy flow.. Vocals a re good. Top work, cheers for the comment and rate!! Rated back. Darren.
top shelf man, great stuff!!
Another great track well done on chart success! Beautiful vocals and top arrangement. Another real pleasure. :)
This songs is a nice blend of Supertramp, Beach Boys and the Beatles but still original! I really like this song, great performance, and that bass playing! WOW! it does SO much for the song, Great vocals but maybe too low in the mix? would love to hear them a bit higher.. Def. a very good song and very professional done all the way around.
Very good track james. A sprightly bounce to it, the piano is impressive, very Beatles-like. Vocals are very good. I think it fits the piece really well. Rated. good job mate.
Good track, has a nice vibe to it. Lyrics are good, vocals could be a bit higher in the mix, enjoyed the listen best of luck with it:)
yeah I'm gonna say it also. supertramp sound. tasty guitar parts great sound, great tune.
ANYONE FEEL THE VOX COULD DO WIV A LIFT - MEBBI A DB OR SO?
I LOVE THIS! ... I played it the other day and before I could log in and comment my computer went down .... glad I found it again! .... Nathalie is right about the Supertramp sound ... but also it's very "The Feeling" and as good as any of their songs ... also a bit Blinded by the Light ..... great lyrics! .... as you can tell I like this .. lol ..... good luck with it .... if you could get one of those indie/pop type bands to do this .. you could have a hit with it .... chris
i like this, it reminds me of supertramp at their height. great lyrics also. x
James, I like it. Lyric has some cool lines. Chorus a nice pop feel. Good stuff.
You have a real happy knack of taking a whole load of classic influences blending them up together and just producing damn smart tunes... Great bass work holding all this up, and infectious supertramp-style keys. Really enjoyable. Cheers, Jon.
Hi James, well got here finally, been real busy and distracted recently, anyway, this is a real nice song ain't it? I really like the melodic structure of this fine "Pop" song, nice bassline , and the vocals and piano etc are all fab...I really like this, and eevn had a second listen co's I enjoyed it so much!!! Fab!

Well arranged track and catchy too! I like the guitar on it a lot, don't hear much of that these-days. Nice one.
Cool tune,i love that piano, i like tunes like this, kinda reminds me of the beatles. Has that old shcool vibe that i like, nice n chilled listen.
Good for me to relax with a tune or two now and then.. and this was perfect for me... Being a metal head (i suppose) its hard for me to judge this too well.. just a good song man. rated easily...
Hi James, Haven't been around for a hiwle, nice sounding track you got here. Not what I usually listen to but it sounds very radio friendly to me. Great production and performances, rated!
Nice sounding track, it has a good flow to it. Good vocals, enjoyed it, it had a hint of Billy Joel meets Supertramp to me :o) ONAGER
There's definatly a familiar sound to this -a bit of Floyd here and there, but something else I can't put my finger on. Its a well constructed song with a nod to the past, but retains its freshness with a great sounding production (*naturally!) The opening chords for the intro are quite novel, very distinctive. Rated*
hey james, thought i would come along and have a listen to some of your stuff- did i tell u that i have a soft spot for any kind of piano lol - loving the tinkles here m8 and the production is flawless - nice tune m8 :D
A good sounding track its got that analogue feel to it, a good voice i like the style, a real nice chilled out listen, Nice.1
Really a nice song Andy! all the way through! Great mid 8! Wicked transition! R8!
Man, what an improvement, and I was impressed the first time around! Bass is sounding particularly good, and the guitar bits were tasty too. Interesting lyric, the "born with two faces..." line really cracked me up. Well done, this is good stuff.
OK V1.1 is up to correct too much treble and reverb on me vox and some sh1te piano timings. Gonna rate it now cos I'm pleased with it.
Cool song, i liked the guitars and the ending was perfect! rated.
Great song, catchy and intelligent, with a perfect song structure and such a fine production as well. I do love the keys in here and your vocs sound really, really good. I especially like them when you are chorusing yourself. The 2. bridge from 2.17 on really knocks me out and gives me the shivers, because it's so inspired. Top quality! Bravo! :-)
nice feel. your voice so reminds me of somebody -- but cant quite picture who it is. The pianos are great, really drive the song and the nice rolly bass. Good work i reckon.
Supertramp "dreamer"! but thats only what the piano reminds me of. As for the rest i liked it..alot. I had to chuckle at the lyrics as i related to them in many ways and its quite satirical. good arrangement, vocs should come to the front more though.easy rate.
well i can say i hear many other artists in this even a little chaz and dave... dare i say it :P.... i kinda hear the beatles also but id say more pink floyd than beatles all tho parts of the piano reminded me a little of the beatles....vocaly reminds me very much of floyd...but ive probably said that on everytrack you uploaded :D another quality track andy :) very fine vocal performance thumbs up
great track and very commercial sounding.vocals are nice and tight.to me it is very Beatlesque and the bridge is neat and tidy.rated and a nom from me my friend. Andy :)
good song - and agree the bridge is lovely - like the chord structures and harmonies - excellent vox as well..nicely done:)
Really like this. Great lyrics. The vocals remind me a lot of Dave Gilmour, but the style is more like Supertramp as others have mentioned. Rated. Craig
Nice James....prefer vocals a lil more forward in the mix but still lovely pop song...that piano really drives it along smoothly.
This is great stuff, love the chorus line.Vox Fit so well, you can be proud of this one and I agree the Bridge is Hot!
Yeah, I can hear a bit of the Supertramp Kevin was mentioning, but the orchestration and arrangement remind me more of the Beatles. Performance and production sound fine to me, man, nice song!
Terrific recording and arrangement.......very american sound song-wise.....a bit Supertramp with balls......liking the keys and chords. Really nice track....bridge section is quality. Kevin Mooney
I began recording songs in January 2006. Genre is rock, pop and jazz with electronica dabbles on a few toons. It's a hobby for me. I record using cubase.
Home studio using a PC, yamaha keyboard, a couple of guitars and a Rode NT1A mic. I use cubase for recording/mixing and wavelab for mastering.
A strange fact - in 1976, the term "Mega" was 1st coined by me and came into general usage as meaning something great or awesome. I was an apprentice electrician at the time and "mega" was a technical prefix meaning "a million times". I remember that all my fellow students started using the term so maybe this was down to me. Nobody hardly says it anymore so i guess it's run it's course.
Another strange fact - i designed a telephone for use in a mortuary. Dead interesting lol!!!
Nice strong melody & energy to this track, would be great for the movies.
wow i felt like i was actually at a pink floyd concert excellent tune.
James Oakwood is a new name to me from MP3 Unsigned but hey, he is a man in love with his bed obviously so he's cool by me. He's also a rock artist which, as you well know, definitely fine by me. According to his webpage, he's only been writing and recording since 2006 and features a tasty pick of all his kit (is that a Dell?); the kind of stuff you need to make rock music. Even
Wooohooo!
A refreshing track about my fave place, I love it!
Keep em comming Mr Oakwood!!
