:)
Ooh! That was good! BERINO
Back for another listen Andy, and it still kicks ass.The snare / clap is perfect and the hats come in the bar raises. But the cool thing about this track is the intense rush as it progresses. The snare roll 2.15 was cool...but 3.00 roll was mint.awesone work Andy. Please return soon with a tune or two.Pete
Well the first thing I notice about this track, Andy, is how well each sound sits inside its own space no invaders...lol). But seriously, the definition of each sound is so well achieved that nothing seems to bleed into anything else which just gives a crystal clear overall effect. It rattles along at a terrific pace conjuring up all sorts of images along the way (I got Thomas Covenant travelling the Land with Linden Avery - don't know if you've read the books). Evocative, energising and enjoyable. Great work! Graham
The spaceship now approaching platform 3 is losing its antimatter shield. Please keep back from the platform edge. Yes! This got me goin on an otherwise down sunday.
EXTREMELY late to hear this leviathan of a tune, but pleased I have..... Not only did I make the crazy journey but arrived at my destination having travelled at 20,000 MPH just below the 20 mile high trees cutting the tops off them and leaving the whole enormous forest looking like some neatly trimmed and massive garden hedge. When our daughter was born I somehow lost a few BPMs, but I can still appreciate 'proper' stomping Acid techno when it presents itself such as this tune did. I think I may take the train for the return journey though, and give my heart a wee rest :) Top stuff.
Just got round to listening to this Andy. AAARRGH, UTTER MONSTER OF A TRACK! Yes I do like like it.
came back to grab a dload man! i love this madness, absolute techno perfection!!!
interesting mind-set but i can understand it...super energising madness as usual bud, keep up the good tech
Hey Andy, This is my personal favorite :) Nice, hard ,deep :) I could definitely go nutts to this one :))) Was havin' a crappy Monday here, and this woke me up. Great Job! Rated. MarkoBoko
I'm sure I've heard this before, its very familiar sounding. Perhaps I was meaning to leave a comment but got distracted somehow. I love the 'flanger' effect applied to Techno synths, and this features it all the way through! One think I would like to hear is a deeper bass thump, but apart from that everything is just (g)rate!
WOW this reall kicks some ass! Andy this is very energetic indeed.Love the power you generated. Rated Andy :) Thank you for your comments on As We Danced!
This is a monster Andy. Excellent. Rated. Craig
Whoa!! This is f*cking quality mate!! As banging as they come! During my raving days I'd have gone mad for this on the dance floor. Stomp Stomp!!
Acid Techno Sulphuric stylee!!!! This thing is like a raging speed demon on steroids wearing concrete boots. One killer of asound .. Xcellent
Killer song! This track belongs on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack! LoL Lots of energy throughout. It just makes me want to get up and bang my head nonstop! Kudos! -Phenom
Andy, that was some sonic journey!!!!!Awesome piece of music mate. You never take the gas off. I had your idea in my head as the track progressed. I like the way you outro'ed the track, those slow synth pulses as if the engines were slowing down. Wicked track Andy, I'm off to hit the rate button and take another trip. A big well done mate and Have A Happy New Year. Barry
cool music, My wife was dancing when she heard your music to. See you are from Alaska, (Anc) yeah I know its big but you ever heard about the name Bjorn-Roli, big ski name???from Anc, Alaska. want to hear a different style of techno check me out. I am all new in music, only 10 months on my back. let me know what you think. My wife has no choice than to dance to my music, hehe
Hey Andy, tried to comment of this track the other night but couldnt for some reason. Used to be into this genre in a big way back in my college days (brings back the aroma of Vicks menthol vapours for some reason;-)) Anyway, psycho energy in this track, suitably dark and sci-fi. Good to read what you are thinking when writing the track - it always helps to understand the vibe - makes it a better experience. Serious beats going on here - rated for sure.
nice acids at start bro.. that kick is good needs ali work though like kev just said.. im liking the acid riff leads.. kool percs and sweet snare [email protected] i hear a mini lil breakbeat going on in the bgrnd? then it kills it dead then. the track takes off again. i wouldnt like to dance to this, not unless i got some helpers in me pocket lol wink:) i like the filtering on the outro on them percs, really loved it dude. rated!
I can't type much because I'm lazy but I love everything about this track with the minor exception of the kick which could be fine tuned downwards :) Kevin Mooney
Fianlly i waited for u to make a new track and i glad i waited... i enjoyed it very much... the track has nice acids and distorted synth work and filtered percussion in the intro. Big kick ... techno styled not my type of kick as i like em with a deeper end but the 4/4 feel i like with good kick variation. percussion slowly layering in and i like the hat work. nice neat melodies with those distorted leads and banging synths now. feels like a nice build up with the LFO's filtering those cuttoffs in a nice equal sine wave u set up there that gradually increases in speed as the track progresses. percussion increasing in speed as u add more and finally i nice little breakdown with some panned bell synths. i like how u got the kick to turn into a breakbeat its pretty neat and done right in the middle of the track. then the buildup slams in with the end of the snare roll and it just gets faster dude like a big epic rush all the way till the end. ur feelings and description towards the tracks are dead on as i felt the same. starts slow then u feel the speed picking up and the layering synths just coming in and the track really flies sooooo fast in its climactic moment. track had some good melodic lines with nice melodic variation. also i like the fact that fact that u had same tempo but delivered "that faster feel" through the melodies and percussion instead of upping the tempo. wouldn't had minded some lush pads just to fly in once in a while to bring more build up and or some heavy intense FX. track was so fast... honestly it didn't feel like 5 mins, felt a lot less XD lol. but i must say this is probably your best track and i enjoyed it very much and had lots of nice elements of a tech track with professional production... now i'm tired, lol such a sonic boom has really worn me out, lol. merry christmas andy... enjoy my ratings :p Matt
Wow this nearly created a sonic boom all on its own. This is seriously fly. Well produced and slammin it - innit tho! Forgive my corny attempt at youthful vernacular - it is that time of year when peeps do strange things like dress up in red frocks and wear silly white beards and have to make do with socks instead of the gleaming new Porsche some of us really want - ah well. Anyway superb techno and and easy Rate.
Woah, this is like good sex, builds so much you just want a release at the end (oooer) As flawless a slice of Techno you could want. Simple, driving, pumping, uncluttered, insane lead line, varied beats, build after build. Honestly it's really a great track mate :) Rated
hey andy, man that is one stomping intro there - wow really big sequences and phat ass acid going on, big snare rolls and drops, f m what more does a man need lol :D you go u wild cat, this is a big one with real intent - merry xmas dude. g.
Yeah this is for sure kicking it up, I am enjoying this, Great track!
The way you set this up in your description had my flyin' too, Andy. Felt like afterburners were kickin' in at 3:15! What a rush! Then at 4:10 it sounds like we're running out of gas...time to refuel. Excellent job, enjoyed it very much, rated!
Hey pumping techno!! You have a wild imagination! which I think is great! You hear your wildness in the music! Hypnotic/trance/techno all in one to me! Wild and wonderful is words I use to describe this, & crazy drums - all deserve a r8! Sonya Stewart.
HELL YA! that's pumping Andy..... not my normal thing. but I do love the odd techno track and this is balls to the wall! i agree with ricky, the rolls and hats are killer love the bass line too and the kick is heart numbing! rate for sure!
Hi, Superb start to a great track. I have to say also...Great artist comment! (wish there was a way to get those words into the tune but that's just my weird thing!) Love the energy! Wicked. Rated. Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
dirty synth at the start, thats a sweet kik :)nice splash crash, fukin el kiks off now ,ye ha andy this is a cracker, great automation on that synth,:)some sweet snares and percs, just sittin here nodding the head:)yep youve turned a corner on the production side of things that was a stormer of a track, top job,
well this is some pounding stuff ...love the hi hats and crashes...quality slice of techno....had me throwing shapes...very fine speed as well...as you know me loves me techno....and i love everything about this quality synths and percussion lots of cool snare rolls...but its them hats that make it for me :) top slice of techno bro :) love it thumbs up
Ditto what Dan say's about the computer game...incredibly powerful intro, get's ya pumping and looking forward to the rest of the track..love the main synth sounds used Andy...wow it's just took off...massive rush to this...would love to hear it over a club rig...production sounds top notch..and the percs.. bass rolls and snare rolls are spot on mate, it's just hit another gear with the percussion..this is relentless stuff Andy..and I have to say the best I have heard from you, loved it :)
I like it, Think it would go well to a racing futuristic computer game..kinda like wipeout.
Well, I started getting even more sick on Monday when my blood sugar counts would NOT balance no matter what. Since then I have not recooperated and am not doing well at all. This is not a complaint. It's a form of information telling those who are interested in my status. It's not good. Drs are running around with confused faces on their heads wondering, "What went wrong? We were doing so good!"Nobody knows what is happening to me. A 33 year old with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy is considered impossible or a miracle. I'm leaning towards a living miracle. I've fought for so long with this. I'm starting to wonder what for? I look at the children who didn't choose the treatment option: Steroids. Now I see children at the age of 16 dying of heart failure wondering, "Why wasn't that me?" So young. So early. I fight so that people can see treatment options WORK! But they're terrible on the system.I've lived with steroids/prednisone for my entire life. With asthma. With infections. With sickness. Prednisone was always the answer and still is. I may not be able to lift a single pound. But I'm one of the strongest men you'll find. I fight because I want to be stronger. I fight so that I can prove people wrong. I fight so I can make music. I fight for my wife to see me live another day. But I'm getting tired. My eyes are as heavy as my arms. They're slowly shutting. And I'm almost ready to go to sleep...
Yes, it's been a little bit known that I've been working on some tunes for a while and I haven't released anything for almost a year. I've been up and down in the health department so that distracts me. It's no excuse but I have been working on mainly just material. There is a couple songs in my library of "unfinishedness" that have some of these elements I've been working on in them.Mostly, it's been experimenting lately. Lots of reading, lots of education, lots of keeping up with the new technology while retaining the techniques of the old.Analog synthesizers are going for cheap these days and now is the best time to get your hands on one. DON'T WAIST TIME! Even if you can spend 10 minutes a day reading an article about anything music. Even if it means reading about something totally new to you. Ideas and motivation come from the oddest places. Keep an ear out! Andy
I would like to apologize about not being able to post lately. I know I have a review to finish. Unfortunately, I won't be able to finish it until I have recuperated. As most know, I have a lot of health problems and am bound to a motorized wheelchair along with being home bound and unable to leave my home as my body is extremely sensitive. What is happening is my pain level sky rocketed and Dr.s are thinking my Muscular Dystrophy is hitting near the final stage mark of the muscles becoming separated from the bones and the tendons begin separating from the muscles. Kind of like being torn apart from the inside. Hahaha! Well... It makes for good pain visions if you're into those sort of things. Anyway. I'll be undergoing some tests and may get a morphine drip. Or a nerve blocker installed into my body (I don't know where they implant them). Whatever action, they're on top of things so I'm sure I'll be back commenting and reviewing good as new fairly soon. I'm getting frustrated about having to become sick again every time I come back. I'll just have to keep coming back. Right? THAT'S RIGHT! I hope all are good and doing well. I miss you guys a lot and I'll be using my wife's laptop to make music. I'll be in bed for a bit but I'll make it out. I will. Ciao! Andy Stokes
So my journey to myself continues while I keep tapering down my pills dose by dose. Almost there. 2 months, max, I'd say. Been messing around with my gear a lot lately. For some reason it gets my mind off the trickery the withdrawal brings to my mind. I stay alert in the world of being sane and grow closer to the end of my descent like a plant foresting it's roots to the center of it's nutrients. It's all good in the neighborhood. The ideas are flowing. The video games are being played. Tomorrow I seek a movie. I'm tired of staying home with my misery. I'm going out no matter how bad the pain is. This motorized wheelchair doesn't stop me from achieving my goals. I've made many songs in my days and intend on making more. I'll have something nice for the acid freaks when I begin to comment again. You'll have something in return. I promise this. Have a great day and thanks for reading. Everybody have a great day! Andy Stokes
Even though I don't really have anything else better to do but sit around with my wife all day long and play video games and make music, I've been spending some quality time with movies lately. I've been catching up on some of em'. 30 Days of night or whatever it's called was pretty good. That was one of them.I've been working on music here and there and everywhere. I suffered a bad break with having going through pain management due to my pain from having Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. That set me back in my music area quite a bit but now that I'm feeling better, I've been working on some new stuff. An ambient song, a groove song, and a techno song. Been messing around with Essences' voice a bit too so I can practice and delve into the vocal world. I'm thinking a break beat song would be good for the sample she graciously handed out. I'm not very good at it! hahahaha! I'm an honest person and that's the truth!Well for all of you that actually read this, thank you for your interest. Hopefully you'll be seeing another good track from me soon! Have a great day everybody and enjoy the spring!
I've been working to perfect some old songs of mine to make them sound better and more fuller. I've added a couple new ones and have more. I just need to pay my space for more songs :D When funds become available, I'll be sure to add them as soon as possible. Hope you all have a great day and thank you for reading this!
Hi. Each month I'll be adding another MP3 slot so keep on the look-out for more of my songs. Andy
Considering that, of all the genres, techno is my main hate figure, Andy Stokes got away prettty lightly when I reviewed the very first track from him. Dance Floor Confusion escaped the Gilmore scalpel by dint of the fact that the track was more dance than techno, at least in my opinion. It worked very well through a big sound system and that's the main thing with music of this type; l
Aceeed!! Damn, those were the days huh? Like many of us, I went through a dance phase, going out almost every night and dancing my socks off - usually more off my face than on it if you get my drift. I was getting a little long in the tooth when the rave scene exploded although I did, generally, get into the musical side of it. However, that was a long time ago now and musi
The title? Don't ask me, I haven't got a clue. Andy Stokes is a new name to me from PM3 Unsigned. He's a techno musician from the US, and his story sounds very familiar. Came into music through Playstation's Music program (it's either that, Ejay or Magix innit?), then turned to Fruity Studio (also my own production tool of choice) because of the limitations inherent in instant mu
