love your music, love you should voice sounds great. posted by tonyc.
Like this, great production....
OK...you got me.lol. your concept is excellent, vocals on point and i really appreciate the production.I really also like the titles of yours tracks, they were interesting subjects. I cant really see any flaws in your work. I really hope to hear you on the radio one day. Give my tracks a listen and tell me what you think."Andrell"
How have i not heard this one!? OH well, better late than never:) Great song Sonya. I'm sure Andy has worked his magic on this anyway and really polished it up from the original mix. Sounds very pro to me anyway. Love the song itself. That synth is great. So 80's, but in a good way! And your vocal sounds as perfect and sexy as you always do! Brilliant pop track! TOP work! Mark:)
i havent heard the originalso i can only comment on this, and its a great track! love your vocals. nice one sonya. dave/absorption
Have just compared this version with the others you have up here and Andy has certainly done a great job and made full use of the stereo range on this... brings the track up to its full potential. However, despite all the added bells and whistles its still the vox that sells the track. That string ending is really superb too, by the way!
I'm really impressed to see you making another attempt at this to make your song sound good. It's payed off! This is WAY better sounding. It's like night and day! Even before it was a good song. But I can hear all kinds of other detail I couldn't hear in the other mix. This is great! Andy really did do a good job. That distorted lead synth sounds awesome. That dude your singing about definitely should be with you now! Everything sounds clear as a bell. I can hear everything much better. The guitar really makes the song sound serious and now that I can hear it really good... It sounds marvelous! If I can rate it again, I will! MUCH better.
YES! This is exactly what the song needed! Sounds awesome!! Thanx for your kind words! Again, great job on this, sounds like a different song!!!! ResoTo
hey sonya ! lots going on here, great production. vocals are spot and baking is perfect for track. nice effects. overall - i lik eit - not my usual listen, but defo would tinr off radio for this ! and for me - "chief car radio flicker/moaner" thats a good thing ! by the way, the end is wicked - great strings. you are indeed a polished vocalist.
Great production on this track Sonya... I love the intro, and a vocal sound with great presence. Well done. Ben
Terrific track. You are very talented Sonya. Even with that, Mr. Oakwood strikes again!. R
yep great stereo guys, it all sounds higher up, good! :D
Gday Sonya, have to say I liked it before but the extra work was well worth the effort from both of you.An easy listen and easy rate .
Wow what a seductive voice Lady Sonya, oh yeah, nice beat, nice work by Brother Andy as well all buttons pushed sweetie
:) Well I loved this track before and still do - it does sound more polished !! :) Thumbs up Hunny !! And to James also. You are a solid songwriter Sonya! X
This is a really great track. It's not quite like anything I've heard, but still commercially friendly. Great voice and a nice full mix. Good work!
full production, sounds very professional. smooth vox. i would maybe thin out the arrangement even more in the verses to get some more contrast, but it sounds fine like this too.
Much clearer now...excellent!!
This has got "hit" written all over it! Great vocal delivery and top notch production. rate Eric BAD LOVE JUNKIE
Great remix from the maestro!
Oh, this is hot! Great tune made even better with this remix, well done Andy! Mick's right, nothin' on the radio around here holds a candle to this...
This is sounding more like the finished item now Sonya, can hear the stereo width in the mix now, sounds more full too and still as catchy as hell..well done on the mix Andy, great stuff :)
Brilliant....liked it before, and like it more now....would knock spots of 99% of mainstream crap. Good job both of u.
Oh yes, this is what it's all about. Love the new bass, gives the track the phattness. New guitars? Very polished production. New effects on Sonya's voice sound great and add to the polished finish. New strings sound lovely. I'll try and rate again. Barry
Latest ‘You Should Be With Me’ remastered by Andy (aka James Oakwood) – 23rd March 2008 - Thank you Andy for a great job! Comments most welcomed!
Corker. Superb backing too.
Really good song. Would like to produce somethin of yours sometimes! I also would've liked to hear some reverb on your vocals. A little dry. But all round pretty good stuff. Check out Resonant Tones! Good Job!
Lovely understated vocals and one of the sweetest beats ever Sonya...I know nothing about production but I did think it sounded slightly muddy and could be improved. But the song is ACE
Hi, Love this. Reminds most closely of Madonna re vocal style and infections and seriousness. Very catchy. Would love to hear the vox brought up even more!! Great song structure and production ...very well done! Memorable. Like the long ending. Rated and nom'd. Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
I always seem to enjoy you and your tracks Sonya! :) I do love your voice! It has a depth and control without overdoing the "dramatic overdone vibrato sound" that I hate so much in others voices! lol..:) Very commercial sound! Very Top of the Pops, but still adult in sound (not tiny pop)! Enjoyed very much - as usual you remind me of the Pretenders lol :) I love Chrissy! :) Look forwrd to your next tune - and production sound good to me! I don't think the vocal sounds dry as others have said - personal taste I guess - but for this track why do you need alot of reverb on the vocals? To me they sound sweet as they are!:) Peace X
Real 80's vibe to this. I can appreciate that there is some really good songwriting and arrangement gone into this though if I'm honest this kind of commercial pop is not really my cup of tea. You have a fine effortless vocal delivery style though which is very appealing. I'd try and do something about the hard panned left and right backing vox on the chorus, as they sit out of the mix a bit for me. You clearly have a lot of talent though.
Nice dreamy FX in the beginning. Nice beat. Yeah! Lets kick it! Great entrance to your voice. Which is awesome by the way. I love that mellow synth in the background. It totally matches the beat. The guitar gives it attitude. The vocal effects need a little sumthin' sumthin' but no probs. The song is making me shake my shoulders like Janet Jackson. lol! The message to me is that the girl wants some dude that she gave her heart and soul to and he needs to loose the other chick. Something to that extent. So I'm here picturing a video of a girl singing behind a see-through wall singing to the dude. Yeah... big imagination. lol Sum of Andy Stokes: I liked it. Nice and catchy beat, nice ensemble structure and such a great voice. Just the master needs some work to stand out. Other then that, shoot. Bang. This is excellent. Have a great day! Rated.
0:56,1:02,1:07,just sounds a little higher on the left and less ballanced, its through earphones tho,ive a rubbish set up tho so if it sounds good tru speakers dont listen to me,3:12 seems to have more balanced, hope in the panning hope that makes sence, great track again top job
nice work sonya, backing vox remind me of sharleen spiteri (texas), its a great contemparary pop peice, backing vox need attention but ticks all the right boxes for me.
Great song Sonya.....you have a great voice but I agree with others that it sounds a bit dry in places. It deserves a little reverb to highlight that sultry tone. Very catchy pop track...gets my rate....and you do sound very much like Kylie whom is one of my all time favourite artists x
Hi Sonya! Typing as I listen. What have we here? Delicious intro with your sultry vocals and yes it reminds me too of Kylie.I agree with the comments on the backing vocal sounding a bit detached mixwise I mean. Production only crit on them.Main vocals are fine with me. Very commercial sound you have tho Sonya and a defo rate from me and despite the backing I will give it Foive( showing my age now !! ) I mean a nom ! lol Take Care Andy :)
Good song Sonya, reminds me of Kylie. Love the chord progression, nice guitar in the chorus too. Rated. Craig
top vocals,very good track
Loverly song, your voice is so right for your style of music, the sounds in this all work together and it has great flow and builds up and drops down to the end of the song nicely, i could tell it was near the end without looking at the screen, thumbs up and a rate from us
Gorgeous, hope you ley James have a dabble with it! And maybe a trance artist to boot. Gorgeous and rated. Barry
Classic pop track Sonya. Great writing and singing a really mainstream sound, loads of commercial appeal. Top drawer.
Nice mix honey. Agree about some bits mentioned below about the backing vox in some places. Damn just heard the key changes/chordwork mick alluded to. Icin on the cake. Ship it over to me if you want. email on my forum page. Suggest you use yousendit tho. Rated
Hi Sonya, good pop track and agree with the others about the 80's vibe, which I am always a fan of, The backing vocals sound a bit too full on to me, in my headphones, but only a small crit, very catchy number as usual Sonya and well worth the re-mix :)
Really enjoyed this one Sonya! Vocals are spot on! Great backing rythm and production! Keep 'em coming!
Great song through and through....excellent vocals ,very catchy melody......a definate rate from me.All the best Annette .
Yeah definately got an 80's feel to it like the sounds though, and it flows real well, i really like it actually, some nice vocals aswell.Great track.Nice.1
Good song Sonya.....e piano and that bass gives it an 80's feel but as a song it could be recorded in many ways and that's always a good thing. Kevin Mooney
Wow very pro sounding... Love your vocal a bit dry at times on the mix but a sweet tone and a sweet performance..Rated!!!!
G'day Sonya, good work all around on this piece (even without a tumble dryer in background ) It is very easy on the ears and your voice has a great timbre to it.rated
You have a great voice, and I wish you luck in your carrer.
hey nice pop, got some very nice elements indeed and it is all sounding great. the vocals sound a bit dry maybe? maybe a bit more verb and comp, anyway i enjoyed listening, well done Sonya ;) gav
I agree with everything Mick has said maybe just a tweak on the EQ on the main vox... they need a little crisper snap to bring out that lovely sultry voice... great pop track, has all the elements, hook, groove memorable lines... well done - rated
Sweet groove to this song! Love the percussion! like the distance you've created with the guitar! Vocals are quality Stewart fare! The minimilism of this is great! Lots of room! Very nice Sonya...enjoyed this!
This is a great pop track Sonya. This could sit on mainstream absolutely np, and blow away most already there. Crackin chord progressions in this...especially in the mid8....and the vox are fantastic there too. Great melody....and overall...just a brill song. If i were u....id hand this to Mr Oakwood for a little spit n polish....i think he has the ability to make tracks shine...and this one would be even more stunning with a little edge on it. Ill happily give both buttons here. well done!
Sonya Great one here! Vin
Oooh, dark pop, I like the feel of this one Sonya! "You should be with me, boy" is a fantastic hook, I'll be humming this one all evening. Nice job on the keyboards, and I like that bit of distorted guitar drifting in the background. Vocals are excellent! Great track, rated!
A glorious pure pop track, commercial, well sung, great chorus, great middle eight, you definitely have a ear for melody which is natural. Like the synth bass and guitar as well by the way. Arrangement is very solid, seems you have polished this one to a very high standard. I love class pop tracks, and this is great :)
From the age of 5, could play various tunes from radio, later composed tunes, added lyrics turning tracks into songs. Assisted in Studio for time, and sang in few bands ranging from pop, soul, rock singing covers & some original material. Experience picked up later became more involved in recording/producing own material.
Main influences have been Madonna, Massive Attack, various dance type productions e.g. Opus III, Robert Miles. Experience in studio/bands gave me a diversity for many original style songs/instrumentals & dance type tracks. Many more tracks can be heard from this website which contains various ideas. Enjoy!!!

Hi y'all, My original song 'Don't Want To Wait' recently was remixed by Skreech a talented electronica producer. He used some of the vocals from my song and created a cool, hip mix, more drums and bass orientated than synth. Wish to express thanks to both Skreech and MK Records for their support. The track has been released by MK Records, and is now available at Itunes.
Made no. 1 on Reverbnation pop charts, & tis cool. Anywayz, happy bunny:)
I have just teamed up with RedDress on my track 'WHERE IS THE LOVE IN THAT', and RedDress has just remixed the track with an amazing result - Have a listen, and let us know what you think!: Working link: http://www.mp3unsigned.com/showmp3.asp?mp3id=50227 Sonya/RedDress
