Artist Comments Just changed the drums from start to finish, pretty happy with where things are going at the moment. Still haven't gotten around to recording the bass yet! This is still a demo arrangement - everything needs to re-recorded and some of the solos need to be rejigged a bit. I deliberately played a solo near the 5min mark badly - I think it fits as it goes into a tight exotic lead from chromatic chaos.
Vocal samples include Morgan Freeman from 'The War of The Worlds' (2005) and an old sample from 'The War of the Worlds' radio broadcast (1938) by Orson Wells.
Vocals are as follows (in case you can't make them out yet:
"No one would have believed in the early years of the 21st century that our world was being watched by intelligences greater than our own. That as men busied themselves about their various concerns, they observed and studied, the way a man with a microscope might scrutinize the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency, men went to and fro about the globe, confident of our empire over this world. Yet, across the gulf of space, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic regarded our planet with envious eyes and slowly, and surely, drew their plans against us."
"This metal casing is definitely extra-terrestrial, not found on this earth. Friction with the earths atmosphere usually tears holes in a meteorite but this thing is smooth and you can see it's cylindrical in shape". "Wait just a minute, something's happening... ladies and gentlemen this is terrific! This end of the thing is beginning to float off.. the top is beggining to rotate like a screw and this thing must be hollow." "Jesus! Stay back! Stand back! Top's loose, don't go there!" "Ladies and gentelmen... this is the most terrifying thing I've ever witnessed!"

Superhuman is the solo work of guitarst/composer Dave Kelly from Dublin, Ireland. I've been playing guitar and experimenting with various forms of music from death metal and rock to trance and electronica over the past 10 years. Composing, playing and recording instrumental guitar music has always been my true calling so that's what I'm finally doing!.
I am currently writing and recording material for my debut cd - 'Deus Ex Machina' (God in the Machine) - maybe some day I will get it completed and 'out there'.
I am a 100% self-thought guitarist, I play by ear and know pretty much nothing about music theory - what little I do know is from piano lessons I took s a kid, Bach and Mozart mainly. I've developed as a guitarist by being able to see the tones on the fretboard in patterns and from having a good ear - don't ask me to the name the strings on my guitar because I probably couldn't!
Out of the massive rig of rack gear in my home studio I pretty much exclusively use a Rocktron Prophesy II to for all tone generation now although some tracks like 'The Futurist' were recorded using a Mesa Boogie Triaxis. As far as guitars go I pretty mostly use Ibanez although I also have a 7 string EBMM Petrucci and a Dean MAB-1 'Armoured Flame' in my home studio. The Ibanez axes in my collection include a Jem BRMR 'Bad Horsie', Ibanez Prestige custom (EMG 81/85 pups) and a 7 string Universe customised with Evolution 7's - the Universe is my favourite!
I've only recently started doing collaborations with other MP3unsigned artists, the first of which is a rocking track called 'In Honor' which I had the honor of performing along with the sites foremost virtuosos - Dan E Peck, Mark Holly and Rich (iOD!NE) Ramsey. I'm always up for experimenting with other musicians so feel free to send me a PM or email to get something started.
Thanks for listening, leave me a comment and rating if you want and I'll check out your page.
