Raquela is currently signed with

A European distribution for her single "FALLING" is in the works.
Raquela is an exciting and new artist that hails from Oakland, CA. She studied voice (Opera) and Drama/Music in Los Angeles, which eventually lead her onto Broadway. Some of her credits include the “Acid Queen” in Tommy, “Julie” in Show Boat as well as original roles in Off-Broadway’s “Bat Boy”. Raquela also had the incredible honor of working one-on-one with George C. Wolf, Steven Schwartz, Des McAnuff, Wayne Cilento, Susan Stroman, and Harold Prince.
Now Raquela transforms her talent onto the pop/dance scene. Her obsession with dance music really began after seeing a t-shirt that read, "DISCO IS DEAD!" Disco inspired Raquela to venture artistically into different Electronica and Dance Music styles of today!
Since experiencing the demise of Disco in the 70's and then the raise of New Wave during the 80's, Raquela figured out her reason to write for Electronic Dance producers all over the world. As a lyricist and vocalist, Raquela enjoys splicing some of her own life's experience into her music while at the same time exploring emotional fantasy worlds from the past and looking into the future.
Her unique vocal style and song writing skills have given her the opportunity to work with Chris “The Greek” Panaghi, Matt Sietz, Damien Oakes-Francis, Manny Rivera, Rick Savage and many others. Her first two releases in Europe are songs written by Chris Panaghi and Jeff Hanc and produced by DJG Productions.
She continues to team up with other electronic producers from Europe to the U.S. as their vocalist and lyricist and has been compared to Groove Coverage and Felix Da House Cat. But those held responsible for influencing this "uncontrollable artist" would lie in the hands of Donna Summer, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Styx, Rush, Supertramp, ELO, Madonna, Pink Floyd, New Order, Aqua, Deee-Lite, B-52's and Earth Wind and Fire. Her high-energy abounds with erotic innuendo, tragedy and humor making her a "must see"!

PRODUCERS:
RAQUELA IS TOTALLY OPEN TO RE-MIXES!!! If this is one way Raquela can help get a band's name out there, then please, allow her the honor! You'd be doing her a favor in return. EMAIL RAQUELA YOUR REQUESTS AND SHE WILL SEND YOU HER RAW VOCAL TRACKS in MP3 format (256kbps)!
ALSO...
Are you a solid ELECTRONIC DANCE/HOUSE/DISCO/FUNK/TRANCE PRODUCER/MUSICIAN looking for a strong, high energy Female Vocalist (Lyricist)? This DIVA wants you bad! Here's how she works... Email her your Mp3 (@ 192kbps or higher) to [email protected]
... then...
Patience my love, patience... If the song inspires her enough to go into a frenzy, she will email you back ASAP and let you know no matter what.
She comes up with a theme that fits your melody (key word, MELODY!) and begins to write catchy/sticky lyrics and hooks, turning your piece into somewhat of a pop tune, however, that is done on purpose. After she emails her MP3’ed “RAW Vocals” back to you, it is up to you, thy master producer, to cut, trim and mix all you want!!!
Here’s what she asks of you in return...
the usual really...
To own half the song’s rights; to be promoted at your site; to always include into the new title of your track "...-feat. Raquela"; and to ask other DJ’s/Stations you network with to know how to pronounce and spell her name correctly when ever they play it ("Raw-KEH-Lah").
SHE WILL DO THE SAME IN RETURN!!!
It’s all about getting our name out, eventually becoming a well known, household name in “the scene”. Let’s do it! Let’s go! Life is too short!!!
RAQUELA's pet peeves! READ THIS!!!DO NOT send Raquela other known tracks asking or requesting her to 'use' as an example of what you're looking for. You see, she does not "copy" other vocalist or the way others write. She may have been "influenced" by other artists, but that's the extent of it. "Unique" is the keyword here. This ain’t no high school, Britney Spears. Raquela has her own voice and her own way of writing and singing. Listen to her tracks up on her website and request to have her send you her newest releases that are not allowed on the internet. If you don't like them, then don't waste your time, and move on to another vocalist. The idea is that others will try to imitate her... or ultimately, YOU! Get it? Raquela is vocally trained in Opera but most of her childhood experience was in Gospel. Some will ask, “Then why aren’t you doing House?” Well she is… on the side. She has a passion for House, but she’s obsessed with Trance. Some will say that she would never work out for Trance, but it’s happening! Art is about change. Electronic genres are ready for an upgrade! Don’t you think?
Oh yeah baby, oh yeah! Let's do it!
