A mix between Sade and the female vocalists featured in Thievery Corporations music. Interesting instrumental track that is kind of confusing to me but the vocals carry this all the way. I'm not using real good speakers here so maybe that's why I'm not getting the instrumental, can't hear any low frequencies. But this is definitely new, fresh and exciting. Great job!!

Not sure how this is electronica, but it is a genious, genious piece. What a sexy voice Melinda has! The trumpet is soothing and so perfectly laid back in the mix. What a fine track this is!!! I especially love the relaxed, laid-back, floating, exotic overall feel in it - very, very pleasant and soothing to listen to it. Great touching vocs. The different instruments are really nicely interweaved and communicating with each other in a thoroughly pleasing way. A very deserved no. 1 indeed!

This is awesome, I'm loving the retro production.. gorgeous voice, very commercial, great percussion, great trumpet. It's all great lol, gonna grab me a download, one of the best collabs I've heard.. unique and commerical at the same time :)

A pure class song is this....superbly written, and stunningly produced, and effortlessly performed. This track should be heard on a mainframe platform, coz its just so classy. I personally love the reverb....i use the effect probably too much to excess than most, but i find it only adds to the ambience of this haunting trip. Sorry about being late on this.......but , im glad i made it. Rated, nom`d, and enjoyed.

very nice balanced mix nice drop at about 2 mins in...Im of the thinking that the vox reverb is ok as ive listened to a lot of floyd with the fem vox and they always used quite a bit of reverb so used to hearing it...i,ll get back to the others asap ..rated and its so different to rickys own stuff..well done

well its all been said below, as I am very late to get here I cant say any more, ecxept that I do agree with Dan that for me there is a tad too much reverb on vocs,,, but it doesn't detract from the fact this just sooo good! well done my friends, exceptional slice of electronica, and the trumpet fits in there like hand in a glove, superb vocs.

Hi Ricky and Mel, everything sounds great except IMO to much reverb on Mels vox. Can't understand what she's saying. Trumpet is a good touch, production is airtite, handdrums are another great addition. Rated

I like the piano chords in the intro. The vocals are great. There's always a lot of reverb on Melinda's voice, and I think sometimes too much, but in this track it all falls into place. The vocals are processed in a 'George Michael' way, and I mean this in a good way ;) Reverb tail has a lot of high freqs in it. Works great in this track. The trumpet is the cherry on the cake here. Good one.

Sh1te how did I miss this? Reminds me of a tears for fears song on sowing the seeds of love album (?) - it has the same vibe (to me) and it's fantastic dude. Rated. I also loved the hand drum stuff and the very laid-back rhythm overall.

Agree with reverb comment - you've got a lovely voice Mel and I know it comes across best with a touch less - I wonder if if you could try splitting the vocal part into three different tracks rather than 2 and applying differing amounts of reverb to all three - I'm sure Ricky can sort that out though. Good backing Ricky. I love the musical backing aswell - sweet ending too - this seems to have what it takes to get somewhere - well done! - jon. (i hope i don't sound all know it all!)

Hey man! Awesome intro here. Loved the piano and bam the vocals came in. Very chilled, but it's still captivating. It's not exactly background music, though it could be great relaxed music to be played in your car driving home from a hard day's work. Heck I'm playing a video game right now and just paused it at the moment to actually hear what I'm listening to, because I'm that intrigued by it. This collab...seriously you two. You two make an awesome team. Very nice saxophone as well. I know how you much love that and you know how much I love the piano. Very smooth !!!Like oil on glass... Colors from a never ending flower garden... Ace preformance all the way around !!! Dare I say that I would have put a little reverb on the percussion to liven up a little as well as bring up the bass track a little(could barely here it) I found everything else perfect as it is a walk in the park for you two... A class chill track from a class due. The trumpet gives it a great feel, although I agree with Tedd-Z that Mel's vocals are so good they don't need the protection of all the effects (unlike some of us mere mortals! ;-) I'd like to hear them cleaner, personally. Love the ending, by the way.

A nice, jazzy feel to this! The trumpet sections are quality! The only minor gripe I have is that I feel there's a bit too much reverb on the vocals! But otherwise, great work from you two (and Ron)!

I was wondering where you had gone Ricky with no tune out last week, but have to say this is a fuking niiiiice comeback! Still getting that Toni Braxton feel from you Mel! Quality vocals with some powerful emotion. I dunno what it is about this track but it just all flows lovely together! The trumpet is a sweet addition to the track and i think it reinforces a top notch track! There that perc work again, Ricky are you programming these or are you playing on the real instrument because it sounds so real and played live! lol Jeez Mel you are giving me shivver hitting some of those notes! Now this is one smooth and sexy slice of electronica. Exotic should be rewritten as ethereal in this song. Trademark Ricky Mancini production is just the a small mention as here Mel's voice is absolutely phenomenal. The best I have heard so far(and that is considering the high standards already employed). A curiously gentle backline of drums seems to complete a picture of Oriental journeys and adventures(?) with the odd twist of ambient jazz tones(trumpet is awesome in this) and textuers. All in all probably the best track I have heard in the last couple of years. Ramblings over. Rated.
