I aint keen on clouds either. But this track I do like. Goes off in all directions but always comes back to it's scary Roots. In parts of this I can imagine Scooby and Shaggy being chased down a hall. Samples are pure class. This whole track is finished as always to the highest standard. Gets a rate from me. Baz

I remember the original. This has come one hell of a long way from that. Still makes me think of driving along in a tired haze man. Gotta have a copy of this. Rated.

God I love this piece. I jump to your page here to take a listen. Really great texture and emotional line you developed. As I follow it you develop it exactly how you want it to go! It is very reminiscent of Donnie. It's like a big deep juicy glass of red wine. Very intoxicating. : )
Comment by Fractal Garden  on 24 October 2006   View Artist Page
Sounds tailor-made for a sci-fi movie soundtrack. I'm surmising the trumpet has significance with relation to other tracks on your concept CD, as this appears to be a story being told over several tracks. Nicely produced. Thanks for sharing it. Jay

This is my favourite track Paul, really love this, got such a great feel to it, gets better every time I listen to it.

Nice one. If I said Jean Michelle Jarre would you be offended?! I wouldn't personally! Great synth sounds mate and A1 production - love it!

loved it
Comment by Nick Ward  on 14 October 2006   View Artist Page
Lovely stuff! Doesn't need vocals, especially Phil Collins vocals! Nice as it is, even the trumpet. Keep it up.
Comment by Neil Constance  on 14 October 2006   View Artist Page
Wow, I really love the edge on the sounds you chose, they fit together flawlessly. The distorted-ish part that comes in reminds me of the theme music in Forza Motorsport (a game for XBox.) I would have done more with that goofy trumpet sample but the song is fine as it is. Love the ambience, rated.

This is some of the best stuff on mp3 unsigned. Bloody good job. If you fancy a collab and want some guitar stuff on your tunes let me in on it...
Comment by bob brannon  on 09 October 2006   View Artist Page
Hi Paul, This is awesome !!! very tasteful from beginning to end, Commanded my attention with it's ambient heaviness I instantly started hummin Phil Collins type vocs to it The song stands on it's own as it is brilliant, but if you'd like to here some voc ideas...PM me and let me know Bob

Comment by Mark Ellis  on 03 October 2006   View Artist Page
Well, I have to say that this is very good, and I found it very well put together, I like the "ambience" of the piece, and although I am far from being an expert on electronic music, it seems like a quality track to me, great atmosphere, well constucted, with good instrumentation...liked the changes throughout and it kept my attantion till the ned... nice one!!
Comment by Incidental Fusion  on 02 October 2006   View Artist Page

Amazing soundscaping Funking awesome another Reason user that sucessfully manages to get rid of the reason sound :) My onmly worry is that the kick is a little too deep
Comment by ConKuss  on 30 September 2006   View Artist Page
Nice intelligent music here, good, clear, yet deeply distant sound to the whole thing - a masterstroke of production in many ways. There's some original sounding synth sounds here too, makes it stand above a lot of other tunes I've heard of this type. Good work all round - Rated for the atmosphere.
Comment by Valued Points  on 30 September 2006   View Artist Page
this is a nice ride.. sounds kinda depeche, I guess it is the 'dark' sound or something. with some of their stuff. intro was interesting. keys and sounds were nice .

Comment by The Tartan Rascals  on 29 September 2006   View Artist Page
normally a window if your looking from the inside out,,,lol just kidding (in reference to the audio intro) nicely put together and I like the kinda 80's synth sounds ..why dont you get some collabs going with this sound I think it would only enhance it. rated
Comment by Alan Corbould  on 28 September 2006   View Artist Page
Very tasty. I just closed my eyes and let it take me. Super production keeps it interesting but keeps the underlying message. I'm learning more about this style since joining this site and really apprecitating it more. Well done and Rated.

WOW! quality track bud! Very chilled track with nice azz drums, but then best part of the track was that delayed raspy synth! very trancy of you! lol is that trumpet to see if the commenter listened to the end? lol or is it the touch of madness you are know for? anyways Rated and nominated! best of luck with it bud!

Made me think of Felix when the octaved synth line came in....It's a nice one....would prefer a more stomping kick on it and maybe a hi-nrg bass but I really enjoyed the listen. Kevin Mooney.

God the SH101 , i havent seen or heard one of those for years. I hear they are quite collectable now. And listening to this i remember why. I realy like this alot, great sound and whole slightly retro feel to it. yeh and i do love the drum breakdown towards the end. This one gets my rating Steve

It has some nice vintage feeling, which is good:) Beautiful timbres. I'd used more background sounds though... anyway, that's good track, rated.
Comment by Ben Hales  on 25 November 2006   View Artist Page
Hi X Destri, thanks for your kind comments! I used Reason 2 for both tracks, and with the Linda Scott, just one or two touches up with Cubase. This FX8 track of yours sounds very good, much more "clarity of sound" than in mine - will check your other tunes out.
Comment by MarkAlexander  on 25 November 2006   View Artist Page
NIce,,this has the quality X-Destri trademark style all over over it. Perfectly fitting with your other tracks ive heard. Great sounds, and it does take you back to the 80's. Drum beats sound really good too! Rated for sure! Mark

LUSH SPOT ON FOOKING CRUNKY MAN
Comment by Redshirt Theory  on 24 November 2006   View Artist Page
if only you had a nother chance to realease this stuff in the 80's man, ued be a multimillionaire and they would have shows about "Where is destri now?" and it would pan in and youd be in a suit running your new buisness, thinking fondly back at the old times when you use to rock it. anyways, youknow im digging this 80's style lately, and this is epically 80's and that snare is to die for. this is rated for sure, and im writing in my notes to hit this up next week
Comment by m4rt3z  on 24 November 2006   View Artist Page
Well in the true spirit of X Destri style Arp basslies this is one of the finest! Some sweet ass drums too! sounds like a 80s rock kit. Like the synth that sits on top of the bass too very 'raspy'! lol Liking the tremolo hi string too! Some nice warm synths youve got going on here Paul! never knew the Sh-101 to have such nice sounds but damn bud youve made them sound sweet! WOW loving the drum solo part! now thats what i call style! i was waiting for the breakdown to sound like the 80s electro thing you usual do (Which i love lol) but the drum, solo was kick ass! lol all back into the action again and everythings flowing sweet! Ok finished and like the little synth line at the end, just ends the track quite nicely! All in all a stompingly great track with an awesome (How american do i sound in this comment lol) drum solo and some sweet synths! Rated and nominated! best of luck with it bud! Marty
