Much Too Fun
This is a kind of celebration of Rock Music. As a guitar novice I listen in awe to this kind of virtuosity - A seriously good listen - so much work must have gone into creating this!
Good. One I haven't got yet. Always worth the wait Kelly...
Kashmir on Steroids!!! Awesome tone and even more awesome playing!!!
Good track this, the rhythm track as you say does sound Zeppelin-esque, and the lead guitar reminds me a lot of George Lynch (from his album Sacred Groove). Rated. Craig
A big thanks to all of you for your kind comments, ratings and noms! I apologize for the rouge arpeggios, I plan to redo those parts and others eventually.
Big Congrats Kelly! Top spot!! Featured artist of the week! Way to go! :)
Congrats there brother artist of the week. Rock on Kelly.
thanks for my review kelly:) i'm really into great guitar work, arpeggios etc, and you are greatly skilled. i wish i could play as well as you x
Forgot to comment on the mix, the backing is perfect, some of the lead parts need boosting (maybe add some compression while cutting the lows - there are already a lot of bass freqencies in the backing). Other than than, good to see you are getting into sweeping those arpeggios and palm muting. Wait til you see, once you start you can never stop! ;-)
Woh Kelly, I like this track from the word go. Great lead passages throughout, the backing track sounds inspired by Vai - very melodic with that '80s anthem feel coupled with a strong Zepplin influence. SOunds like you got a good band going there, hope you keep turning stuff like this out. Get's my vote anyway!
Like Val I love the power of this track. It really drives along, taking no prisoners along the way and kind of snatches you up and pulls you along with it. WOW!
Hailz dude! Sorry I ain't been about much. This is a damn good track indeed. I like the dirge feel in this and that guitar is blowing me away big time. Have got to say that this is the best yet that you have done imo. Clean enough production wise (cleaner than me anyway!). Rated!
Hi old friend, like Carol said congrats on #2. Well deserved. Those arpeggios will work themselves out Kelly, just keep at it your almost there. Great tapping skills and settings. The axe is rockin so don't stop choppin. Rated and Nomined.
Congratulations Kelly! Hitting #2 in the charts this week! What a way to debut that new guitar of yours! Must be a lucky guitar too! ;)
First wanted to say thanks for commenting on my tracks, i'm pretty stoked, cause i'm really new to this whole putting music on the internet thing. so cheers for that. But after listening to your tracks, i really start to see i'm lacking. You really got that whold Kashmir Lead Zeppelin march riff going. You've got a really "grand" sound, really fills a room. Excellent lead and arrangements for the whole song itself. I listened to your other tracks but if i went into how smooth they were i'd start to sound pathetic. All too bloody good mate, cheers again for commenting on my stuff.
lots of good ideas and interesting moves here - well enjoyed this - even put my guitar down and picked up a bass to play along! - jon
Wow, that is a SUPERcharger !!
wow power it out dude stadium rock..nice performance. Andy
this def gets my rating, really nice layout and guitar work, the lovely full midrange sound that the lead guitar has aswell is great!
Hey Kelly...long time! Nice choice of melodies. Sounds like you've put some rehersal time in! Lil LZ progression...Let 'em bleed! w2g!
wicked riffage, wicked tunes. cant fault your guitar abilities. take a tasty rate
Great instrumental this is.. damn good guitar performances (wish i could play like that...) and the drums also really rule bigtime. Top notch guys, well done, nothing more to add. R
Hi Kelly, Awesome track! Your the real deal when it comes to great lead players! Keep up the great work! Jeffersun
Hey now this grabbed me straight away, what a fab track, really like the riff, the rythm is excellent, and drums etc really roll it along very well indeed.. I think you must be very happy with this?.. it's a really fine piece, excellent guitar work, and overall production is spot on.. and I reckon one of your best for sure... Nice one my friend.. really enjoyed this!
WOW... rocking... incredible... shredder... lightning tap... tone-nificant... all words that come to mind.
Damn fine gitty playing there young fella. I reckon this is a chart recommendation.
Best that I have heard from you so far! Congrats on that new axe Kelly! You're putting it right to work I hear! Most Excellent! :)
OK, manage to get in the correct way to comment, (Thanks to Stew's www. explanation). YAYYYYYYYYYY !!! SWEEEEEEEEEET GUITARRSSSS, I love it!
This is a great showcase for your guitar skills, I actually dig the backing track as well. Its chock full of the kind of riffs I simply love. I can't believe you are trying out some of these playing styles for the first time!
love the pace man, that rifftage is awesome and it's clear you know your way around the guitar. really an ace for me! hard rocking track and finished it up perfectly at the end! Superb!
Well 1st off....the progression and groove on this track is great!..definitely agreed with the Ledzep comments, and i can really hear Plant too...'youuuuu got me moooOOOvvvingggg'! Yeah this is a really mean riff!....Great solo skills, excellent playing, and a pretty good production too. If i had to make a negative point tho, i would say, id like to hear a change or 2 in there, as its almost 5 mins in the same groove. But no doubting the seriously good display of musicianship on this track!......Nice work Kelly! Mark
Serious guitar playing! Exellent Kelly.
I am not an expert on musicianship, but I sure liked the sound and feel of it. Rated
Nice work Kelly - Lucky you've caught me in a pretty lucid state here - this has certainly hit the spot. All you need now is a vocalist and you're flying! Keep up the good work - you've got talent for sure. J.
Wooooo hoooooo! Jamming Slamming that was! Definitely like the new guitar and the tone...... wowsers man! @%*#@ ME! That was some serious shredding... Gets my votes!
Great sound you've got going on there Kelly! Your new guitar sounds fantastic - it's definitely singing. Enjoyed that alot..Martin
Diggin the chops !!! The Zep riff is awesome !!! I want to sing to it...or try to howl like Plant.... I'm diggin on the leads as well !!!! Very melodic !!!! The arpeggio's are understandably a little askew but do show your diversity and talent.... I'd actually prefer more melodic theme...start and go back to a theme that people can remember...much like satch does in alot of his tunes...almost as if you were singin a melody with your guitar... None the less..is an excellent bit of music and I commend you so !!!!
wow Kelly - that is some serious fun there:D huzzahs!! me likes a lot! Thumbs way up
Fusion has been my genre of choice for several years, but I am also inspired by rock, jazz, blues and most recently, metal.
My recording/mixing skills have yet to be acquired, my playing is at best sub-par, but my enthusiam for creating music shall never waiver.
The bulk of my future lies in Alternative Metal. I have recently gained a keen interest in creating that crunch! I have no real "Rock Star" aspirations, but enjoy engaging in collabs to create something new and different.
I also build custom guitars. Please view my artists gallery for a look at some of my projects.
Thanks!
<pre>Cryin: I think I must go around with my head in my ass sometimes...I don't remember listening to yor music before and it's just fabulous, Kelly...damn I am so impressed...you and Joseph have a lot in common...take a nom!! dawnsinclair - 16 May 2008
This is beautiful and dramatic music - it is obvious that you love playing it - every note is wonderful. MoonTurnedBlue - 27 July 2008
Cause We've Ended as Lovers: Great soulful guitar playing! Always interesting. Rated.Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie aswann - 03 November 2007
Insanity: Wow Kelly, this is awesome! Love the mix of guitar and electronica, the sweeps are spot on an there is also some lovelt whammy bar work in there. Love the Eastern feel again - have a soft spot for the harmonic minor and arabian sounds. Cool tones too, really look forward to hearing the completed version. PM me when it's up! Superhuman - 05 December 2007
Superhumnan's Phantasm: God Kelly. How I have missed you on this site eludes me. Seems everyone knows who you are. If I didn't need to head off to work I would have a new album to listen to. Be back and thanks for the DL's. Rated. Beluga - 08 May 2008
Zappa X:
I hear the Sheik Yerbouti style of Big Frank especially at about the minute mark or just a tad over. Dead good this dude. Oh yeah 1min 36 and it's got that vibe real cool. Great final 30 dude. Rated (as if there was any doubt) James Oakwood - 15 September 2008

This is one is quite different for Kelly, given the electro slant. I liked this track the first time I heard it, although there are a couple of rough edits the track flows in a nice unusual way. The track open with Kelly's signiture use of the whammy bar - something that is not easy to do at all. I really love the little diminished run followed by a more traditional solo break. Over the yea
This really blew me away, you can tell there is a lot of passion in what is being played. Element of several bands i loved came through, Sabbath being the first feel i noticed.I'd love to see something like this on Guitar Heroes, largely cos i'm no where near that good on guitar and like pretending i am(hey its cooler than air guitaring)Top notch stuff#:)
For a newbie/beginner, the composition is conceived well, and the arrangement was laid out in a thoughtful manner. I can hear a lot of the influences you mention on your page, but you do not call special attention to any of them, which is always a good thing for a player of your level. There are enough genres/styles blended in to make this tune interesting to other devotees of jazz fusion, prog r
This tune had me fooled for the first 8 bars or so. I thought it was a totally generic jazz track that some wanna-be would be adding his licks to. What I got instead was a truly artistic contribution to a rather basic jazz rhytm section that turned this generic into a genre that needs to be focused on. What was jazz fusion is no longer con-fusion with this artist. Rock meets Jazz meets Acid
While this track left no doubt as to why the composer named it as such, I must say that without a structured tempo as well as the frequent non-timed breaks throughout the piece I found it difficult to gather in the full emotion of the artist. Great sound and unique effects give homage to this artists influences, but needs more structure in this reviewers opinion.
