Hey You!
I am so sorry I don't come here more often.....you have some serious talent and if it takes me back to the sixties well that's just great because that's when it all began for me musically....just love this.
Superb production and excellent song. Best of luck with this one Keith ... a great find! Phil
Still loving this one Keith... Wow this could be the mp3unsigned download champ ;) Best to you my friend! Eric
Aw , this really sweet - nice production - the vocal is great - very different from the hard rock tracks. The middle 8 is v. nicely done. +1 vote
Got a good swing and your production is clean...i love the clear vocals, finally a voice i can understand (i'm french and it's not always easy !)
Greetings from another North East lad. Top song!
Another listen - this is such a cool track ;-)
Any comparison to the Fab Four (from my hometown incdentally : ) ) is to my mind praise indeed and this artfully crafted song justifies that comparison. Listening to your other tracks I am well impressed that you are able to cover other guitar driven genres with ease and fine production. Nice work Kallen!
... and how lovely it still is.
great poppy track creative whimsical lyrics
very likeable catchy light track very different to the dark one i just heard. great guitar sound and recording this. class song.
Wow man great stuff....got a Janes Addiction thing going which I love...:)
You've got a Al Stewart vocal working here - Sweet approach to Music = me likie and Thanks for the Smile and how lovely you are!
Amazing sounds here!! I was just navigating away from your page when I noticed this song in the background... I had to come back for another listen, because I like this song even more than "Suzanne Valadon", I'm a sucker for the "Pop" sound and have shamelessly appreciated a lot of music that most musical elitists would brush aside and scoff at. This is such a happy song, and I've found myself, that working in music, one of the most challenging things to pull off, is a good happy song. It just does not seem to come that naturally from the bottomless well of sonic frequencies... does that make sense? So, how lovely.., go the lyrics and that's all they need to do. Kallen, now I can hear it, this genuinely sounds like a Beatles song. Surely that is a high compliment!! If I could remember all their names, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney... yes! I usually can't remember them all, but this sounds like all four of The Beatles just jamming away in a private session, maybe warming up, "Letters written, never meaning to send..." well, that's another story... I'm sure the references will not be lost on you! This is a magical and intimate sound session of the highest caliber! You have mastery over the music!! - DJ Frankie
Hey You...love this song....couldn't stop the toes from tappin This has a nice light happy feel to it. love it
After listening to my copy of HEY YOU, I was compelled to return and leave a few more words on how much I enjoy your songs, Keith. This, of course, is one of your most popular and one of your best. It lifts my battered spirits.
What a great song. Dam 774 downloads... I would say other have enjoyed it as well. I think you may have a big hit on your hands! Very much enjoyed
Another well devoloped track. Like it a lot :-)
Super catchy.Rated!
Great song! Happy vibrations
So catchy, I just couldn't help singing along! Great tune, you! :)
Back for another listen Kallen, this really is a happy track and that can be challenging to achieve. To craft the music on all instruments and levels to induce good vibes, it's amazingly difficult. This song is so well done, I have to tell you and it brings up memories of very happy times in my life just hearing this. You're without a doubt one of the best musicians I've ever heard Kallen! The bass is smooth and crispy and the guitar riffs just kind of float and bounce all around the place, with your beautiful vocals riding the wave of musical bliss!! This song is really incredible and I could easily listen to this a few dozen times before I'd want to change the station. I hope this song gets massive attention and all the appreciation that it deserves. You are a one of a kind and one in a million musical machine of a person. Stellar and Spectacular!!! Love this so much! Have I mentioned that this is a pretty cool song too? Just kidding, you've knocked it out of the park Kallen!!! Massive Tune!! Take care. - DJ Frankie
Ah, this has got that fantastic sixties happy feel. Fells like a breath of fesh air to me. I for one am guilty of the "serious music" trap.
I can see why there are so many comments and d/l's for this track. It's very infectious. Simplicity is not always easy to achieve but you've done it with this one. Got some harmonies to add sometime if your interested. Great Track........
Made my day with this track. Thanks :)
Thank you so much for your comments, its really helps build my confidence as a writer, its beyond appreciated.
a very upbeat song with a hint of the beatles i think i like this song vocals are very good it lifts your mood thumbs up !
you nailed this, strong hook, neat lead vocal / backing vocals. Is there a 12 string jangle in there? well balanced 5* production too.
I love the music of Buddy Holly and was very happy to be reminded of that 50s’ sound that I have always admired, even if I was not yet invented. HEY YOU! is fresh though; it has that Kallen sound that is so recognizable. I believe I shall help myself to a copy of this one! Thanks, Keith.
Thank you so much for your review of my last song. I really appreciate your kind words and your thoughts at this time. Love your music. Keep the faith!
I'm envious of people who write great lyrics ... you have added yourself to that list .. lollllxx ...
The sound is nice and clean Kallen. The bass department is nice and warm...can't beat a bit of bass mmm.Cool catchy pop tune.
Sounding really clean and nice with this track... it's a great song, love the vocals and I love this kind of stuff too!! Would you mind checking out a couple of my songs? See ya, - DJ Frankie

Keith, What can i say, i would love to say that ,that was the voice of someone who knows his music, you will understand me if i don't, and it is simply cos i am modest, and i don't wish to come over as a big head, cos i am not, Thanks you mate, you are a true Gent,, KEV ARKADE MUSIC
Thanks so much... ...for those words, i know the thing to do is stick with it, but it seems after thirty years of being a vocalist / writer etc, to much to try to learn all of the engineering / mixing etc side of things, But, i do appreciate the input from my fellow musicians, and will consider all my options, Once again, thanks Kev ARKADE MUSIC
Hi Simply love your track, :Hey You: its so clean and fresh, just the right blend of vocal and acoustics, the vocals take me back to the 60s when lead singers used nothing but the vocals they had, Its refreshing, and a great track All the best KEV ARKADE MUSIC

This is a great guitar pop song indeed. I hear so many influences in a track like this. Such a simple song that to me feels so huge in many ways. Love the overall production, and everything else about this piece of work. I'm putting together a music widget full of artists from this site, and I will surely put a couple of your tunes on it if you don't mind. Great job and always keep the faith!
Fun pop :) Upbeat and catchy :) Just read the comments and I was thinking same as James Oakwood. Reminds me alittle of Scott Slatter :) Enjoyed. Peace,Ricky
Hey you, just my kind of song, love everything going on here, great song.
Hey! I remember this one from unsignedbandweb! You really do know how to write a song. This is friendly, happy and catchy - all the foundational qualities of a great pop song. YOur voice is great on this one too. Cool to hear about your secret for the banjo-sounding guitar - nice!
Hey you :) Uplifting, bright pop, excellent vocals and you've mixed the acoustic brilliantly with them. Agree with Wednesday, this does bring Buddy Holly to mind. Great tune!
Hi Keith, Thanks for the kind words, re: "Funky Old Santa Claus" I know I have written already about this terrific song, but once again, this is an absolute corker of a track! Cheers, and Merry Christmas! Andrew
Hey you - this is such a happy song, a real swinging sound. Crowded House meets Buddy Holly type vibe. Love Wednesday x
Thanks for your comment on "Orchid" Keith. An uplifting and inspiring pop song. Very catchy mate. Vocals and harmonies are spot on and very well executed. Merry Christmas. James
Hi Kallen! I really appreciate your recent visit. This is a really wonderful rendition and it is truly a magnificent vocal which takes the listener along the trail. Take Care Andy :)
Hey You!! this is a great track and nicely written
Greeting Kallen!! Really like your songwriting style! Nice vocal too! Great singer/songwriter vibe which I really dig! Fantastic stuff! Thumbs
like this wish wife would say it to me. Gaz.
Wow this song gets me to my younger days, how lovely! 10/10
Agree on the lost album of the 70s dude - it needs to be made!!!! Hey you got a real sweet voice Keith and dunna worry bout trying to rock it up - stick with what your best at and this is a fine example. Great middle eight dude with the backing harmonies and then back to a modified version of the intro. Ya got the structure of a pop song down you could do it in your sleep methinks. Similar ring on this track to what Scott Slater does (also on this site). Thumzup for brightening up this miserable winter weather.
Perfect pop, thoroughly enjoyed. Gibbo
great pop tune really enjoyed :)
This has got a great hook to it. A real 'morning' song this. Nice and cheery and moves along so well. Rated.
Hi,,,yeah this has a very nice feel to it! Loved the middle 8 section too!.....nice bit of Beatle-ness:) Makes me want to come up with more Happy songs too!! Mark
Well done !!! A warm happy track !!! Excellent vox n well placed harmonies !!! Tops production n mix !!! Takes me to 70's n all the great songs !!! An easy listening treasure !!!
Great pop song, your singing reminds me of Al Stewart.. Track has a really feel good feeling to it. Rated.
Uplifting track fella, good vocals and well played. The track is nicely arranged and has an honest vibe. Cool man. Mal.
A lovely song, it really is resonant (for me) of some of the happier jangly guitar bands from the 80's, an era I feel very, very nostalgic for now! But this is also your song, and this is now, music is timeless, and as an expression of individuality and emotion it doesn't get any better than this! Cheers, Andrew
Yeah, a happy track...light guitar work...liked the guitar layers (I can hear why the banjo reference was made...like the way a capo can add a tonal quality not expected ;)...drums and bass just keep it moving along while your vocals express the sentiments so well. Enjoyed the harmonies. Thumbs!
Always a welcome to hear you sing your songs. You are the prolific one I must say. Yet each of your tunes is a well executed treat for the ears!
excelentpop song. rated
Hey many, many thanks...yours is the only feedback ive had on this!!!...its not a banjo tho...its a cheapo accoustic with capo on the 4th ..lol! keith
Oh yes this is a happy feeling song. Nice uke sound in there or is it banjo amongst the guitar tracks?... How lovely is this...you have brightened my day and gained a fan..
