my methodology towards music composition is clearly this 

I'm not going to spend time to sound like somebody else ...

music has to be in the moment and the music has to take one some place

it is a symbiotic relationship between the musician and the music that becomes 

a synergistic journey for both ( musical energy does travel anyways )

in my pursuit to contribute to the evolution of ( modern ) music

I modify and built my own musical instruments and

experiment with different recording and mic-ing setups ...

fortunately or unfortunately most of my recording and composition processes and

details are not reproduceable because I did not keep a journal

( I would like to think that the music composition itself is the journal )

though I will endeavour to write down the details if it does not impede the energy

or if I can remember it ... remember it has to be in moment ...

Improvisation is key and I have many influences from mainstream

and non-mainstream and from all genres ... going forward I am striving 

to strike a balance between Avant-Garde and Mainstream 

it means I have to know the 'cliches' in order to move away from them

and I have to get good going through the entire spectrum

though this spectrum is infinite and as a human being ,

I only have a limited amount of space-time to work with

so I believe that the music ultimately has to be fresh and from the heart

if one could be a channel for all kinds of energies to translate into music

then you have come to the right place for such kinds of music ...

just ramblings of my latest snapshot of my home studio
includes the acer laptop; Naim Audio pre; power amp and wharfledale diamond speakers 

line 6 pod x3 live and pod studio kb37
cables and the fan ( very important in keeping cool ! )

acoustic guitar - ibanez artwood series more than 25 years old
6 string bass - palmer something
5 sting bass - yahama attitude now made fretless

Blues Harps; Fender 25W combo amp

Didgeridoo; primitive wooden whistles , other miscellaneous gear

e.g. I have left and right out from my x3 live to the right and left in on the kb37 to get some really out of this world but very distorted guitar sounds just think of connecting amps in series with each other like stomp boxes whoaaa guitar and basses sounds great with POD farm on the kb37

kb37 as a midi keyboard together with ableton live 7 mixer and vst plug-ins can work together with Yahama CS2x ( borrowed ; headphones out to left and right line-in on the KB37 awesome ! )
