Pagan Suburbia
The Poacher in Suburbia...electronic paganism...a kind of eerie feel to this, but enough light to make it interesting...panpipes...were ok, but when you opened this up around 2m in ..it was a welcomed bit of expansiveness....liked the mix of rhythms and sounds with the bass anchoring it all...liked the tremolo strings and dirty harmonica distorted thing....very creative stuff in here...little homage to Riders on the Storm (Doors) at the end? :) Happy 2016 Mr. Poacher
Nicely done instrumental, Linconshire Poacher!
Brilliant and imaginative title! Different! Kept me interested too all the way through,..and... it kept me wondering...which is good for mind-wandering me :-) All the best me murky ole' matey. K
Don“t know why but the first part reminds me of somewhere desolate like the outback and I quite like the panpipes but from 2 mins on totally different, the bass catches the ear straight away and I feel the noise of suburbia with all the different jazzy parts added. Probably not what you intended but how my ears interpreted. Good to hear something different and enjoyed the listen...
Wasn't too struck on the first two mins but I like the change at that point. The detuning stuff is really cool. I don't like panpipes I guess is my excuse for the first 2 mins. I think you might have gone a touch too heavy on the compression - the cymbals seem to be drowned and stuff is a bit squashed etc.. Yeah, play me the post 2mins stuff any day so thumzup.
