Beyond Polaris (soundtrack)
Hello Andy,What a excellent composition, the orchestral arrangement is very moving. All this from a box called a computer and fl studio and a lot of talent.Someone sign this man up.
great stuff Andy, lots of movement and extremely well produced you really manage to conjure up the images of what you are trying to portray. I just wish I could get my percussion to sound like yours. Rated.
Brilliant, as always! You have one sale on that sci-fi album when you finish it :-P !
Congratulations Coach! #3 in the charts this week! Fabulous arrangement Andy! I am proud of you! :)
Sorry this took me so long to comment on, been very busy week!!! Wow man, this is great. It does sound like a song from a sci-fi movie, like the song from the good side's intergalactic military and they just won a battle and now everything's fine (or will it be fine when you make more tracks and you continue this into other veins? ;) It's huge, it's epic, it has your style written all over it and I think this is my new favorite of yours! You have composed this incredibly well and I can see that you REALLY spent time with it due to the awesome sounds entering my very picky ears. ;) Now it just ended and I wish there was more, much much more. You have me listening for so much more and you have me expecting so much more from you now. I really hope you continue the story here with your music becuase it's amazing. Thanks man. Rated!! :D
Andy.. You really do create the best titles for your work.. this one just grabbed me.. and I'm glad it did!! :) big orchestral soundtrack.. does exactly what it would be intended to do if it was in a film!! elemts of danger, excitment, the unknown!! v.talented! great string work!! very suspenseful!!! Rated and nom Jen x
Hi Andy, Beutiful song that captures the dramtic feeling indeed. Splendid production as well. I especially enjoyed those tremendous bass-drums and choir´s ....what a sound! Take care m8 :) Leif
Hi, Great chart topper! Very moving. Clean sound. I felt like I was on a journey and the tension was great! Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
Congratulations Andy! #4 in the charts this week! Fabulous arrangement mister! :)
Some epic moments. Nice instrument sounds and harmonies. It took me away!
Certainly worth the proper rewards for this effort Andy!
The thing that strikes me is the really really good use of dynamics to create tension and release... of course the instrumentation is great and very realistic.... we expect this from Andy, but this is certainly at the top of your listings now... just a super job all the way around, you've really captured the orchestra in your fingertips sir!
Andy - this is great - love those drums and the choir fits very well to give this further atmosphere - the orchestra is so realistic here - I think you've perfected this - a real strength - congrats on the charts. Rgds. Mike.
The choir is spooky ! How do you come up with these stories, cause that's what I think this is. Small critical note, the guy hitting the timpani must have a very big amount of drums covering almost 2 octaves :) he must be olympic medalist in 60 mtrs sprint to get to all his drums in time ;) Really overwhelmed Andy, great track !
nice. like the orchestra drums, not sure the name of them. very climatic. could be in a sci-fi film, but I think a better purpose would be images of planets, traveling thru the wonder of a journey. more elaborate in some ways form some of your other work. enjoyed this. Godspeed on your new project.
this is such a journey!!! u have such a strong sense of direction and perspective in ur music. I find it amazing how u can pull it all together.....it takes a lot of patience....but more, it takes a lot of talent. highly rated andy.
Gotta agree with Graham this is so advanced. i thought the intro was coll, and then the build up just blew me away. i think you have caught the essance of a space travel score brilliantly, ( I know its brilliant because its not often i associate or visualize music, but I did with this) this is up amongst your finest work to date. Bravo Steve
Do you know Andy I would struggle to think of anyone on this site whose music has matured to such an extent as yours. Listening to this track it is clear to me that you have thought about each sound very carefully and extracted the maximum impact from each instrument. I think you now have a clear understanding of where each sound fits in the overall canvas and this increased confidence shines through in your work. Graham
Hi Andy, this is cool and a zillion miles (space miles) away from my space efforts, this could have been used in so many epic flicks, love the percussion, climatising to those lush strings, the brass parts sounds a little thin to me in parts, could do with fattening up, just a personnal pref though, great track mate, rated
This is a great work- well timed, mixed - just fantastic. Love those string stabs!
Ski Taps has said what I've thought since you've been on here Andy. You should be working in some movie studio earning megabucks - their loss. Ths is a work of art and contains everything from 'Star Wars to Also Sprach Zarathustra (or whatever it was called). Top work.
What I'd like to know is why the hell no one's got you composing soundtracks professionally?!?! Your sounds are very authentic, your sense of composition and structure are spot on and the mix is excellent. The fact that one guy and a PC is making this takes it a step above a lot of 'desktop' producers and it sounds amazing! Impressive, honest and very well done all round mate. Huzzah!
I think this expresses your space theme very well and has a "going on a quest" kind of feel to it. lovely track - nicely done Andy!
Nice really cool atmosphere. Kinda imagine a movie carrying this. Star Wars episodes or something. Nice that choirsound in there. Gives it some climax. Great work M8. Definatly some masterpiece!!! Rated.
Wow....loved the dramatic strings and the kettles....Aaron's right, it is a monster track and almost appears to be a whole film track in one, with all the highs and lows. I truly love the way you use vocals in this kind of track. Fabulous and definitely gets my nom Andy.
Hi Coach Andy! Good to hear you creating your music again! This is classic! Andy IS back! Reminds me so of being in a movie theatre I can smell the popcorn! Can't wait to be watching a film someday and see your name credits scrolling on the big screen! Fabulous creation my friend! :)
Mmm this really nice, I love the full strings and the voices, a very powerful piece, which conjures up the image of what you are trying to achieve, and fab melodies throughout, so it works for me, excellent compostion, well recorded, think I will just shut up now and listen again.. well done my friend... thumbs up!
Gorgeous swells here! Exactly what I like to hear. Very stirring and ave me the Star Trek feeling. Epic and grand. Rated!
massive recording with all sorts of power within. i picture an exploration of a new world. kinda like when you saw the dinosaurs for the first time in jurassic park 1. very emotional, and vivid, as i can actually see occurances when listening. great stuff. would also be good for some of that middle earth type stuff. then it picks up and gets violent! who hoo...nomed this monster
I think it'd do in a battle scene for some fantasy movie as well:) Classical soundtrack piece, excellent arrangement... music for blockbuster:) Great work, rated.
yeah fits the bill perfect, nice orchestration :) i could imagine going on a scary journey with the strings stabs pretty haunting sounds
Very good work Andy. A big, grand sound. And captures the theme perfectly. Excellent orchestration. And a great piece of composing! Mark
Hi! I have been interested in music since an early age and now enjoy making tracks with the various software available.Such as Edirol, EWQLSO and my new addition, Miroslav Philharmonik which has some strings to die for, all this sequenced in Fruity Loops. I now seem to concentrate on composing Classical Soundtrack material. I also enjoy rearranging tracks in collaboration with the awesome talent on show here. Please stop by anytime and enjoy! The Chambers album has been accepted in the Music Dept of the National Library of Israel and hopefully will be added to the holocaust museum there.

I really enjoyed the melody. Loved the flute.... more than the bass :)
If I had my music software working, I could put my finger on it, but overall, just loved it!
Seeing as how I have been completely laid up for the past two doing doing nothing but honking into a handkerchief and spluttering like a man drowning (Ed: just a seasonal cold, tut tut poor reviewer), it seems appropriate that I should come riding back into the fray on orchestral wings. On second thought, after that sentence, maybe I should just go back to bed. Andrew Foyston (to give
Valour and Honour – Andy F- Essence Review Well, what can I say? It’s a huge track and no one can deny! Huge sounds, very dramatic indeed! I’ll try to skip the obvious comment of “this should be in a film” because it is obviously your intention Andy, to make your tunes fire the imagination and conjure up all kinds of themes and scenes to which your tracks could be impl
This an immensely dramtic and emotional piece of music. It's actually difficult to think where to start. The beginning is probably the best place. The haunting melody at the beginning truly sums up the emotion I can only imagine would be felt by prisoners being taken to the gas chambers. The bells add a nice touch, hinting to everyone that death is close. You can almost smell the mud and
Andy wondered if i was up for classical pieces when he submitted this for review! Good news is, yes I am! I have always loved orchestration, as does everyone if you really think about it. Whes used to it's full scope, 'classical' music fully captures and envokes all the feelings and meaning that modern music strives to recreate in different ways. Andy's 'The Last Galleon' does just that, the sus
T'was brass monkey weather time, three years ago, I reviewed a track called Di Da Mix (October 2003) and although liking its content (a little), disliking its production (even littler) and thoroughly berated the composer to get serious about his sound. AndyF (yep, you guessed it) obviously did because as many of you know, he's been in here plugging away ever since and btw, he did get s
Currently number one in MP3 Unsigned's Official chart, DHGC is a collaboration from two artists I have come to know very well, one for a very long time and one I've met within the last year. I first met AndyF a million years ago on another site when I reviewed his first track Di Da Mix (October 2003) and liked it. That hasn't always been the case, not because Andy isn't a good musician
Call me a sycophant if you like, I just don't care. I am bowled over by the undoubted talents of Andy F, and his latest track, Tears, is no exception. Building his orchestration around the superb vocals of Amy Caldwell, the loving care and attention given to this crisp and professional work is evident from the outset. It's always easy to eulogise over great songs and, naturally, personal taste c

ONE NOTE FIRST - “Although I am not totally into classical music, this song certainly has made me become interested in it. Fantastic score, fantastic instruments, fantastic feel to the song – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED” Review – Starting off smooth, the piano work done at the beginning is great, although could have been uplifted a bit to hear it a bit better, but with all the other instrument work
