One man band……
I am sure that, you understand what this means ( a poor home-studio with computers – cheap musical equipment and software and a crummy  composer who tries to make almost everything alone).
Fortunately, I invite “guest stars” to cooperate with me on the vocals. (I can’t sing).
The recording of the vocals are made late in the night……. We are working in parallel with ….Buffy the slayer , under the moon !
Yes, very late, because there is silence !
No cars, tracks, noisy neighbours , tv , radio etc etc
Late in the night, the nature is sleeping and my cheap microphone is doing it’s job much better.
Don’t laugh so much…… “Amateur” in my language means the lover of the art ,so, listen a little to my pure music.

I use a lot of soft synths, samplers, soft effe - etc. As a host I use Cubase (mainly).
