Well .... Academicas interuptus.. The cestation of all things asignment like.
In other words the end of the academic road.
What happens now?
A REAL job is now awaiting me and is lined up for a September start.
And ?? c'mon spit it ! what are you gonna be when you grow up even more then?
A Family Worker.
Yea? wots that then?
A fellow worker and oft time mentor describes it as being a referree and I s'pose it ain't far off the mark.
I will be based in a school in Luton. The main aspects of the role is child mentoring, family liason. It could be descibed as an interventionist role. Basically I'm helping with the access to education for local community via the children and ultimately their parents. It will be a rather large challenge as there are cultural and ethnicity issues and values to span and intergrate.
One of my plans is to take on some of this via music posibly in the form of workshops. All ideas are in the early stages and WIPs at the moment.
As to making music I will be on and off.. And I will still be listening in to the amazing talent at this site.
