sick bassline dude, sick vocal stabs, sick synthage, sick beats. Great work dude...and welcome back!
Really good kick. Love those vox samples. Breath sounds really well placed. Gritty bass is grinding at my brain in a really good way. There's some great stuff on this site, and it's nice to hear some more. Well done.
Great bass thump. You have come along way since the first time I heard you. Mike Jackson Ows in the background cement it for me!like the changes...original and fun. Great beats too!
This is my third Jono track in as many months and although I didn't particularly go for his last effort Sunrise In Dystopia (January 2006) I really enjoyed the track before that Spread The Sickness (December 2005). That's pretty much been the story for Jono and me really; sometimes yes, sometimes no. However, seeing as Jono (real name Johnathon Cruz) is just 15 or so, I don't think he has an
First things first on the Jono ft. Crutial Head track. Jono has 15-year-old producer as his heading, so the first thing I had to decide is whether this should be taken into consideration. After all, I didn’t take up music until I was 15 let alone producing finished tracks for the world to hear. My answer was NO, I think if I were to do that it would be patronizing to these artist
Regular readers of my reviews will realise straight away that offering a track called “Sunrise in Dystopia” for me to review is a bit like waving a crimson cloth at an animal of the bovine persuasion. So, not wanting to let anyone down… here goes. Dystopia "An imaginary, wretched place, the opposite of Utopia." (Cassell's Concise English Dictionary) "An imaginary place where p
Jono is an MP3 Unsigned artist who - as we have now discovered - been mauled by me once and praised by me once, so by my reckoning that makes us quits. In other words, we start anew. You're only as good as your last track around here maties, and you thought the RW music biz was tough :D Having laid the proverbial sawdust on the floor, I have to temper that by saying that Spread T
I could have sworn I'd crossed paths with this artist before, and if I remember correctly, only one of us came out of the encounter unscathed. In my much battered memory, which is prone to all kinds of weirdnesses, I thought I had dished him pretty badly - it's funny how you always remember the hard-to-say reviews isn't it? However, having searched back through my reviews I can't find
I decided to rate this track cos it nearly blew my head off my shoulders when it first came on. This tune to me would be an excellent hip-hop beat i can easily imagine a rap over this. Having said it does break out into a sort of D&B tune towards the end.I must admit i do like this tune it definately grows on u.
If the name Johnathon Cruz doesn't ring any bells with you, let me tell you a bit about him. He's Canadian (who isn't these days :) ). He's a maker of electronica and I came across him on another site I frequent. As you know I ain't that keen on the genre especially when folks get lazy about such simple things as drama, action, excitement and other main musical food groups.
