From the Small Town of Lincoln DE., TV/Film Music Composer and Contemporary New Age Artist Nelson Ortiz is said by London Director John James Fox, “well aware of the logic of film and story, and it is this that which qualifies him as an excellent composer for TV and Cinema. I believe his grasp on story and structure is invaluable for successful film production.”
Continuing to build his TV/Film Music Library, He is planning his second Contemporary New Age CD for release spring/summer of 2009. His hard work and dedication to his craft has earned him: #6 on the indiemusic.com’s top 40 songs of 2004. He has also Placed music in 2 Indie Films by director JJ Fox in 2006/2007 and recently Placing music on 3 Cable TV shows, The History Channel’s “Cities of the Underworld” Season 2, TLC’s “Property Ladder,” Episode 1 “Nightmare California”, and The Travel Channel’s “Mysterious Journeys” series. With credits building, his success is evident.
Nelson Ortiz was a regular on MP3 Unsigned when I first started going there and obviously had made many friends there, although - for my sins - I never had the chance to hear anything from him. Moreover, he has been absent from that site for some while so it was a bit of a surprise to see this track appear on my MP3 Unsigned list this month. Let's hope it was all worthwhile eh? C
