The Day God Died
This song is really good. The entire thing is captivating. I'm a fan.
Those echoing beats are wonderfulf and set the tone really well. Backed up strongly by the pulsing synth. .Lovely quirk at 1:33 and the pulsing, delayed accompaniment after adds a bit of spice. Shades of tangerine dream at about 4:00. I could go on and on - and have! Beautifully judged electronic soundscape. Love it.
I was having eargasms listening to this track bud. Its awsome and the beats that echo back and fourth between the ears while the sounds rise and dissappate building textures and evoking interesting thoughts is just fantastic.
What a spacial experience amazing work mate :) realy top quality sound engineering... everything is clear..has its own space and comes together perfectly Lots of little tricks and sounds about. An enjoyed listen!! Rcmd and Rtd Memory Life
This is bloody briliant. I love this piece. You have a great talent. New fan big time. Thank you for the DL and the listen.... Dan
very soothing track man, I agree with you on the vocals thing, we're too used to needing lyrics to attach ourselves to the songs and structure, can be really limiting sometimes. delicate angel !
Good moody vibe to begin draws me in. Liking it (the song) but not the BS in yer blurb hee hee. Hey if you believe it that's fine by me!! Back to the tune.... good building of instruments and vibe... expecting a really melodic vocal (or something) about 2min 26... waiting, waiting... Ok my expectations were slightly dashed!! Putting that to one side it's got a great vibe and drew my in enough to find the melody i expected. enjoyed and rated
Pensive and somewhat melancholy. This is one of those pieces that sweeps you along. Not my genre of choice but this vindicates my visit to your page...great piece.
Soundscapes is the right word to describe the beautiful feel to this music. Another great track from you. Love the way the percussion comes in. Love the vocal samples. Another song where we try and hear meaning within the sounds! (Like KTA's current track).
Really great percussive elements. I love it. Awesome soundscapes as well. Overall great job dude!
Great intro, soft and enticing. Love the electro percs with that clave. Oh and I think the bells work so well. It may be a soft styled track but for me, it has lots of tension built within. Great piece of work!!!!!! Barry
In the intro I like the way you have combined ye olde like strings with modern piano like lead - the delays are very musical - like a slow pulse - suggesting something evolving and heavy with time. Then as the track gains momentum - the beat is also kind of tribal - and yet sort of echoes the delays we heard earlier - but with more energy. Fantastic. The vocal sample adds yet another layer - a misty electronic icon of modernism- - almost dislocated and yet integral to the way the music ebbs and flows. This becomes more prominent toward the end and increases in intensity - these voices seem to me to have no meaning, speaking only the language of sensation. Religious folk would no doubt read much into that. This is profound music which I found magnificent and moving.
Hey, man. Saw you had a new song up so I thought since I've never been by... I should come by! So far I like the nice calm beginning. Sweet sounding slow pads. They kind of come in like a shallow wave in the calmer Atlantic beaches. I like the slow introductions to the other elements. Very smooth and well organized, so far. I'm noticing a bit of filter work on the synths as well. That first weird noise that goes up and down is a fantastic detail. This shows me that you put some work into your music! The perc job of the zap kind of like noises (well toned down zaps) come together a lot like a tribal drum but with synth noises. The melody in the background keeps the luring sensation of the song going very well. Even the little beeping noise gives it that extra push into the world of detail. Very fine work here. I like this. Well, I think the production sounded pretty darned good. I didn't hear anything that sounded off. I'd give the style a basic clear sound. The mix is pretty strong, too. Nothing topples anything else down and all the sounds fit together and don't clash at all. The arrangement is very well done as well. Nothing is out of place and it all makes sense. The feeling of the song made me think of being in outer space. Floating. There's quite a bit of emotion to it as well. I felt very warm and relaxed. Almost as if it was comforting me. I'd say you have a true piece of art here, man. I'm really glad I stopped by to have a listen. It really lifted my relaxation mode up. You have yourself a great day. And a rate!
Nice piece of Ambient, very chilled. Is that a comb filter I hear, nice sound whatever it is.Percs work well...just enough.Would'nt call it a gloomy track ...reflective maybe?Church bell...nice touch, almost mirroring the bass. From the title I was expecting a dark trip to hell but this was just the opposite.Enjoyed.
Phenom has had a love for the techno/electronica movement since childhood. That love began the first time he picked up Orbital's "In Sides." Since then, he has dedicated a part of his life to creating electronic music that not only grooves people, but provokes people to think. He does so by blending pumping rhythms with mind-bending melodies, teetering chord progressions, and the use of insightful if not inspirational samples of famous media figures. He believes that despite a lack of vocals or lyrics, a song can still have a very powerful and impacting message. It is Phenom's mission to offer up a different way of listening to music...by not just listening, but by becoming part of it.
I really enjoy listening to this track. It reminds me of music I heard before its time on a London pirate radio station when I was in late teens. There is a catchy but at the same time mellow/trippy feel to it that I love. It would have been great at a rave in the chillout zone. I like the structure and the beats, the build is great and the variation is appropiate. Synth sound is spot
