***UPDATED*** Added and removed, tweaked and twiddled. Think its done now! lol
Hi Martez. Well done on making Top 20 this week with this great track. It's so good that I'm gonna have to download it. PJ
Big commercial track Martez.the synth hook at 1.08 sounds a little retro but that slurred stop with the synth was quality.Great work in this track bravo on the filter work.Radio friendly as it is.
Hi Martin, greetings from Galway. Like your stuff a lot . i agree with DaveRave. Also love the synth hook line as well.
Hey Mr M..........don't do yourself down. This is just as good as anything on MTV. I think the vox are fine by the way. A class act mate.........
Hey Martez, I really really love this track. Reminds me of dance anthem Something by Lasgo. I just had to vote for you. Thumbs up! PJ
very katie perry vibe and thats not a crit dude !!! glad you read phils thread lol this is wiked man .. love that kick bud . and the chords you chose sound real chart busting ones... that lead is sick what a winner hook of a lead.. percussion is ace m8 real tightly wrote.. vocals sound fab m8, and i truly mean that.. yeah this is pop with a hint of classic dance floor filler. peace out neil.
Great track - very commercial - radio and club destined for sure.... Only slight crit is the lower notes on the vocal could do with a little tweak and then it will be purrrfect....Rated for sure
Alive and Indiana 99 got it right... this is definitely a dance floor filler in my book! Very nice work and don't undersell the vocal...I thought it very effective in this mix...I am bouncing in my seat! Rated!
i agree with indiana 99 - think this is very commercial and a floor filler for sure - superb production values - excellent work - thumbs up
Long time no hear bud!! Very commercial but will no doubt be a hit! Thats not a crit mate, just the way the business moves!!! A huge productrion with a high end studio quality!! A Euro feel indeed as those lyrics and vocals suggest!! A definate floor filla. Lovin the synth choices, percussion, FX, vocals and lyrics!! Onto a winner with this un!!! My name is Martin Smith and i was born in Derry, Ireland. I first started making music around 1998 with a game for the playstation simply called "Music". It was a very basic music making game but it was enough to get me hooked on producing my own music. Now im using more advanced programs like FL Studio, Ableton Live and Sony Sound Forge to produce music with.
First Success
My first break into the professional music producing world was getting signed to Peak Hour Music (peakhourmusic.com) in December '07 with great producers such as Jason Turbulent, Steve DeParr and many other great artists. My first release was a remix of Miz Mandy's track "In The Mix" which rocketed into number 87 on the beatport top 100 trance charts within a few days of releasing it. After that i remixed Theory In Motions hit track "Devils playground" along with Sonic Monkey's "Payday" track. I also remixed Hydrusx's track "I Don't Know", Sue Cho's "Lose Yourself" which was on a special Peak Hour Does London Compilation and Fundamental 5's "Take my Flight". I also released my debut EP titled "Perspiratiopn EP" which had 4 tracks called "Elektro Tech", "Retrospective", "I Can See The Way" & "Circuit Bent".
Martez is my main alias and i use this name to release music through various labels. The type of music i make with the Martez alias is more house orientated. It spans many of the house genres like Progressive House, Electro House, House and even Dance! There is another alias i go by. "m4rt3z" which is a more Trance/Dance focused alias and most of the time the tracks that i create using this alias are free to download!
Headway's Debut track with HX Federation also features 3 remixes from HydrusX, Nikjam & the Meena and Martez!1. Original Mix 2. HydrusXualised Remix 3. Nikjam & the Meena Remix 4. Martez Remix
When I first stuck a notice up on MP3 Unsigned that I'd take five tracks for review this month, I had no idea that the first three tracks would be of a genre that I usually loathe and despise; dance, electronica and all forms of. Despite that, all the tracks I have reviewed so far have been extremely listenable (as well as the other dancey rubbish) so I'm hoping for a hat trick with mr4rt3z.
Hellogoodbye - All Of Your Love (m4rt3z Funky Club Remix) – Dance So here we are again with a genre with which I am now about 30 years out of touch so this time the postage stamp on which I could write all my knowledge has an Irish flavour (and here’s a few to take your pick from): Now, the reason the stamps have a Northern Irish flavour is because our artist under revi
Wicked production on this offering from Martez. The atmosphere is second to none as far as im concerned. the production is pure unadulturated class act. sounds crystal. this song deserves its high praise. I gave the structure high marks, but not the highest as for the most part its the same song twice, with little added variety to the second half. but each half is put together very ni
Why did the cnut bother?
Right I got to say this one is the biz. Trance being one of my favourite genres and this is trance at it's best. Those lead synths really are something else and really euphoric.A nice thumping intro which immediately gets the adrenalin going. The beats are energetic and totally dance floor filler. If I was ten years younger I would definately be up on the dance floor, I probably still would now!
This is truly a sensational piece of music. It truly captures the listeners attention with the abundance of quality instrumenation across the board. Your talent is evident and enormous. A quality production with some really good vocals. There was absolutely nothing constructive I could say on this joint. You have tremendous ability and charisma...it comes across very well, you've achieved a nice l
