Deep Within
A little dark but Very captivating. When the chords are aligned it keeps this very interesting. Liked the vibe, has a very organic feel to it.
Sounds pretty simple but there is some nice subtle stuff going on to keep me listening. Like it. cheers:-)
Some absolutely wonderful and unusual chord progressions in there... Haunting is indeed the right word. Very smartly done indeed.
Hi, Liked the rising pad in the background and the slow breakbeat is nice when it comes in, not really my genre but cool.
Crackin peice. Love haunting stuff and this is just that. top stuff.
Lovely...quite haunting. I like this very much! ~ Renata
excellent intro, I was gaggin to hear every second of this. Instrumentation is awesome and the melodies are phat! Piano and guitar always sound the dogs if u can pull it off properly..fair play, you have a beautiful mind, peace.
there's something special about sitting down and hitting the play button on your songs Paul.. They evoke such emotion. This has a lot of depth composition wise and really does go deep within to bring forth so great imagery. Wonderful....
Superb Paul, good to see you in high creative mode M8 ;) Clive
Love the mood that this creates - quite haunting..I can feel time slipping away.....
Very different some what I expected from you. And I think one of the most complex pieces you've composed. I love it of course! Very horror survival video game feel to it. I thought that when the beat came in. Nice piano work, and blends very well with the guitars added later. I love it!
Verry nice track, Love the high organ sound on the background gives the whole track just "that"
This has got a moonlight sonata feel. Very well put together and intriguing, Evokes lots of imagery. Excellent.
You have a wierd and wonderful corners in your mind mate, but it sounds like a beautiful and interesting place to chill. Some cool chord progressions in this take emotions and flick their switches back and forth from one measure to the next. Good to hear some new stuff from you mate.
Glad im the first to say this WICKED love the melodies, great work, i would perhaps put a filter on the piano, to soften it up slightly, and put a little reverb on the guitar, and send it a little further back in the mix. I noticed a couple of "duff" notes? but i have a feeling thats purposely there? I really like the bass noise, but it needs a bit to a boost IMO. Obviously, this is all to my tastes...but as it is is top notch man, excellent work
Very cool, nice progression. The beats are very nice when they come in. Great guitar part - sits really well in the mix.
First track from MP3 Unsigned this month is from a name that is familiar to me, but only from froum postings and his Variable Frequency station. VF is, apparently, from Indianapolis and is an electronica artist and - as far as I can tell - I have never reviewed anything from this source. He has some interesting people in his Recommended By...list including such Mp3 Unsigned lumina
What a rich and vibrant sound, unique to this artists talent is the ability to merge all sounds together into one masterpiece. Superb quality and fantastic feel to the song, the whole tempo merged well between systems and yet indulged us to remain true to the style of the song.Excellent beats and drum work, I found this to be very relaxing and yet travelling, the start of the song decides for you
I have been a fan of VF since I first heard his stuff and I was impressed recently when he mentioned he uses Propellerhead's Reason for all his sounds. My own experience with Reason is that it has distinctly low-quality sounds and VF's stuff always sounded really polished to me. However, with everything squashed into a 128kb mp3, its quite difficult to judge on true high-end quality regardless a
