Run From Me
Dramatic with lots of nice touches...I couldn't live on a diet of Industrial but I love coming across good pieces like this one...much enjoyed.
Stopping by again to check you out. Still keeping with the 80s industrial Depeche Mode vibe - and actually this reminds me a bit of Fad Gadget too, which is no bad thing. Again, very impressed by your lyrics and vocal delivery. It fits with the style of the music really well. I agree with some of the comments below saying that the higher frequencies are a little too much, although the distorted feel works well with the track. The track is a little on the long side for my taste, despite all the musical ideas you've thrown in. I'd like to hear a little more variety in the vocal melodies, it might help break it up a bit. There's no doubting the amount of thought and attention that goes into your music. Off to check out your others tracks now ...
And you miss out Gary Numan as an influence? Very good again. Haven't read your lyric sheet but you share one of my lines "Something wrong inside". And welcome to mp3u!
Way to good. Have no idea how one would create a song like this. Turning this one up big time. I'm with others, lyrics are great!! Dan
retro - but it's yours - you rock dude - cranking it
I agree with some of the sentiments below, very 80's in vibe (something I dig very much in the moment) but it is updated. A bit of an oxymoron but I think you know what I mean. I'll be following you.
Liking the production here - nice layers of rhythms and sounds. I agree with the 80's vibe as mentioned by other posters BUT this is like 80's re-treated with todays production and ideas. Sounds pretty good to me even though its way outside my comfort zone. Deserving of a rate, welcome to the site!
I have no idea of the 'industrial' genre as i am fanatical about Dance/Trance music but what i can say for sure is this is truly a great piece of music. I agree with NS below that it sounds very much like the mode, i can hear a great album ahead ... Gr8 job xxx
You're mining a dark seam here- I'd go along with the 80s feel- a much maligned era; behind all the perm and gloss there was a good variety of music. I digress, this does make me think Depeche Mode/ early pre-crap Simple Minds maybe.A solid piece of work here and a an easy rate.Welcome aboard
Instantly pulled me in..great percussion.Pretty dark stuff fella, definitely got an 80's vibe which is strangely refreshing. R8ed Welcome to the site:)
Well before I press play, I'd just like to welcome you to the site and say that "Wake of Destruction" is a really cool name. Lots of "UH!" here. Here we go! I love industrial music. I've had a lot of my techno roots in it. Such as Front 242, Ministry, Radioactive Goldfish just to name a few. This sound you have here is very mechanical and punk feeling. Something you would hear in a SteamPunk style Anime or something. The sounds and order in which they go into the beat are brilliant. Lots of different sounds coming together in perfect dark, sinister order. The production is... wow. You definitely deserved the #1. Definitely. I like the feel of the song as well. The message of what power you posses is revealed and portrayed very well. Your ability to do this could rival others, I'm certain of it. The almost hidden gentle way you want to protect others from your power is a definite addition to how serious the song makes it'self sound. Very intense and intentional. I like it a lot. The effects on your voice seem very well orchestrated. The different segments match perfectly with the areas you've edited your vocals. I also want to compliment the loomer synth sound in the background. Spooky is always "in" in my sound book. This is wonderful. Then the ending. I have to say. The song does linger a little bit and repeat it'self, but the amount of work and detail I can hear that you've put into this more than make up for that. The production is very fierce and driven. It's also pure and the clarity seems to strike at me like a Semi on the highway. Very strong mix as well. Everything has a lot of power to it strait down to the metal tings. Lots of time spent here, man. You know whatcher' doin' all too well. No need to write anything else other than to wish you have a great day! Rated for sure, man. With ease.
Creepy, dark and depressing lyrics which didn't make much sense to me to be honest. Has a Depeche Mode -early Gary Numan vibe. EQ/ dynamics need work. Sounds as if the vocal is distorting - is that deliberate? I would add reverb to your vocals in places, to add variation. Also feel the song is a bit too long. You have created an ominous but powerful moody SOB of a track tho - should gain you some admirers - loads of potential.
I can dig it. Nice. I do think the highs are a tad too high. Song writing is cool. Those your lyrics? Great lines.
Some of the higher frequencies are a little on the harsh side, but this is powerful production nevertheless!
Like this Omar, welcome to the site nice vox and tune.Nice percussion workout, cool in that department.
Very 80's in both music and vocal delivery.. very 'depeche'Good variation throughout the track, nice one.
Hi Omar. Welcome to mp3u. You already know that I love this track but will say it again anyway, I Love This Track. Rated. Craig
Full House on the scores and believe me this track truly deserves it. Now i am no expert on Rock my genre's tend to be Dance or Trance but from what i have heard from 'Want versus Need' this has given me a whole new outlook. This track went straight to no 1 on the mp3unsigned charts 'Congrats for that' and hopefully will maintain a high position there for a while as it is in no short
Let me first start off by apologising to 'Wake of destruction' as this is my first review in such a very long time. But can I also add that I am glad he put his hand up as he is a quality artist, that and the fact that I don't know him means that there is no presumptions and my review will not be bias in any way. I like to think I give a fair and honest review and hope that nothing I say
