Let me first start off by apologising to 'Wake of destruction' as this is my first review in such a very long time. But can I also add that I am glad he put his hand up as he is a quality artist, that and the fact that I don't know him means that there is no presumptions and my review will not be bias in any way.

I like to think I give a fair and honest review and hope that nothing I say is taken too seriously, after all this is only one mans opinion.

So to the Artist. Due to the lack of information on the guys page I don't know if he is an original composer or a sampler mangler. I will assume that he does everything from scratch, and base my review as such. And because of the high quality of the track and the presentation IE Photo on the page I will also assume that he has hopes of some sort of commercial success.

And so to the track. I must say I do like tracks that start off with glimmers of interest and signs of things to come, This track doesn't disappoint. The initial sounds on the intro are great and grab my attention nicely. I wish the same could be said of the opening vocal lines, they are not terrible they just lack a bit. Its very hard for most artists to sing on the lower ranges, this is made more difficult because of the sounds in the background. If an artist doesn't hit the nail on the lower ranges then it sounds off, this is further emphisised by the vocal doubling, I know its a trick use to cover up vocals where the artist isn't comfortable, but in this case it has just highlighted it more. Luckily this doesn't last too long and the singer is soon back into his comfort zone and range.

I must admit I do like the way this guy balances his music during the vocals, that's a thing that a lot of artists don't know how to do, and when you hear it done so well it really stands out as a quality piece of production. The track has some great high end vocals that really bring the track to life. I do ask myself why the guy doesn't stick to the higher ranges because when he does he nails it and has a way of drawing you into the song. I assume by looking at his influences that the Depech Mode influence is strong in his concept when the tracks are formed in his head.

Now I would love to sit and criticise the track all night, but really, the guy is good.. the music is sharp , and perfectly balancedand  the vocal lines are interesting and varied.

I will be honest and say this is not my genre but I have listened to a lot of more industrial stuff. And as everyone that knows me on the site will tell you I do love good production. I appreciate an artist who will go through his track and insert those little bits that make my ears perk up and keep my interest alive till the end and this one done it for me.

As for commercial appeal, well the jury is still out on that as far as I am concerned. This has got a very late 80”s early 90's feel to it. I believe if the track had more a recent feel about it then it has got a good chance. Perhaps if the artist listens a little more to his other influence NIN and use some of their production ideas coupled with maybe some Def tones. Then he would stand a much stronger chance of catching someone in the industries attention.

In finishing, great track, some fantastic use of sound and a wonderful performance over all. Give me some more of a bottom end eyry sound and I would buy it.

This is an Artist well worth keeping an eye on..cant wait to hear some more

And thankyou for putting your hand up....but remember this is only my humble opinion
