NIN awesomeness!
Are multiple comments allowed? lol This kicks my ass every time I listen! Thanks again. :)
Hahaha, a really cool song and I like the vocals. Love how it is sinister/mischievous, but at the same moment melodic and kinda sweet xD. 1 UP
the naughty verion of sneaker pimps, top quality m8, realy enjoyed this, lots of variation, solid vocal. works al the way. I hear lots of influences, realy like this a lot,rd cd nom and down
Hey, Rhys. Saw you around the boards so I thought I'd have a visit :) I like the beginning and it does come in like a state of static mist. Nice effect. I liked that. When the vocals come in I can tell you do this because you want to express yourself. No negative energy in that. Just respect. So it doesn't matter how good a voice is in that perspective. I like the vocal, personally because it fits the song so perfectly. Awesome creativity here. I like the message it portrays. What I got is that reality is not forgiving. If you let your guard down, you let yourself down. lol if that makes sense. It did sound a little sinister but hey, I've made some sinister stuff myself with techno (The Mercinary). It was a good sinister. The kind of sinister with feeling. Emotion coming out. Whoa. I got all philosophical and stuff. haha. My sum of it all: Dude, I like it. Guitars are in good tune. They sound strong and forward. Definitely powerful. The snares, beats and metals are all produced very well. Strong mix on my speakers. The voice is well suited like I said, too. Awesome stuff, man. Glad I stopped by! Have an awesome day, and... A rate!
Love that fuzz wah. Vox are great as well.
I musn't have caught this last time round. It has an epic, symphonic grandeur not usually associated with the Alt-Metal genre. Your voice lends itself well to different styles. As for the music, there is so much going on it took another listen just to take it all in. A masterpiece by any account. Rated, of course.
spitting vocals and a real sinister feel. Good use of effects which you lot seem to have sorted and plenty of power...like the pulses playing into the piano toward the end
Ha! This is a great track, loads of ideas, some nice dark bits (which reminded me a bit of 28 days later), crunchy guitars and a good mix. Nice one.
very rarely does it happen to find really good stuff which is unsigned. It's a great piece of work and really enjoyable.. pity the compression and the rather squashy guitars in some points, but I'm being picky...
.... "so leave my rabbit be" brilliant dude.... love it kinda reminds me of early Pink Floyd in the mindset of it... but certainly has a unique sound to it and dude I love your voice... you have a growly side and a melodic side as well.... colab sometime? rate!
brilliant...
Just popped back to say this is a regular player on my portable. Great song - I even find myself humming it during the day.
Still think this is brill - getting quite a fan base around Bedford now!! - jon
Hey man, I dig this, it's right up my alley.. great guitars & piano! And vocals..as everyone else has said are very well done.. Yep, you are a sick puppy... good job friend. An all 'round artist I'd say! :)
i cant comment on the production, sounds good 2 me anyway ,yer voice sounds good, donno if you do all this yourself(unbeliveable if you do) or its a group thing, sounds great anyway.good sh!t mate and im not into this type of thing but from joinin this site a lot of my preconcecptions have been blured, rated
Excellent.
What a mixture of styles...I've only listened once, but love this track so far. My only gripe is the cymbals - they're generally unnecessary and make the mix sound a bit too busy in places. Otherwise fantastic.
Hi, Cool track. Strong vocals and great guitar. Heavy and interestingly twisty and turny in an epic sort of way. Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
Very cool. Wicked riffage ...dark - I love this vibe. I reckon this would sound cool also with some rock chick on - maybe Amy from Evanesance is free for a duet lol.... Really neat track - sounds wicked dude - really wicked :) Production is crisp and tidy also. Heavy track.....would definatley buy this actually - my kinda sound. Peace xx
Well now... I think this is excellent, got a sort of Blues feel running through some sections of it which I like, sort of mixture of styles that works for me. Interesting construction and lyrics. I think it's great mate... really enjoyed this and can't fault the overall production and playing... Fab!
well well well.......what we got here then ;) quality rhys quality m8
Not normally my genre but like Ditheramb you are just different. You have a powerful voice and I agree with the Cooper comparison. An unusual but effective sound. Andy
the reference to Cooper is dead on mate.. sept much better production.. great song, great sound, great all around..
Had to come back for another listen and I have two points.... 1) This aint Simon Garfukel singing about furry feckers. 2) It's Alice Cooper singing about furry feckers!! Well nearly to my ears!! This is really truly a great song and has inspired me to pick up the guitar. Not much new does that these days. You should be proud and I should be jealous, and am. If i could rate again I would dude.
Meant to say number 1 status there......DOH!!!
You seem to be diving ever deeper into your unique brand of New Zealand madness. The concept of natural survival conveys well here with the song exuding an absolutely broodingmenace and, strangely enough, an epic melancholy. it seems to be expressing a sorrowful understanding of the true order of nature. From the skittish, chaotic drumming to the sludgy guitars and feral vocal talents, each element blends well. To say that this must have been a huge undertaking is an understatement of huge magnitude. Only gripe is the way the vocals seem to be smothered here and there. Too much reverb/compression perhaps? All in all a good track deserving of number status. Move over MD-1 and Stella Polaris.....This Rabbit scents blood.......rated.
Interesting composition, I was hooked from the opening notes and quickly became totally absorbed in this. Excellent arrangement, love the vocal, guitar, piano and drum tracks, and what seems to be some really cool lyric. I say "seems" because comprehension was only coming through in snatches, but when they did I was blown away - "the birds of prey want to come play with me" - brilliant! Would really like to have seen the whole bit printed out, now I gotta listen another half dozen times to eke out the rest! Great job, man, very well done and rated.
ive heard your stuff with MD1 and pleased i checked this out. Great arranging and one of the most unique voices and lyrical style ive heard in a while.Rated
This wicked Dude! So much going on, yet so brilliantly arranged that it all belongs. This gets all my buttons pressing. I wish I could give you something that would make it better, but it's way over my head already. R&N;!
There goes that kitchen sink again... Very very clever, has all the quirkiness of mad science woven with the raw power of your other tracks. There are so many little signatures of yours that are just unmistakable, but for me this is another step up in terms of songwriting and arrangement.
The intro is absolute class mate and then it just gets better, some quality sounds in there the piano sound is a treat, then we are treated your by now very distictive vocals and you have a very pro-sounding voice on all tracks you do, love the little break with just you and the piano/strings, a definite rating from me Rhy's, spot on mate :)
Wow niiiice intro! Love the keys and the what sounds like outta tune guitar! Really cool as fuk when it all lifts off with the drums and the guitsr! When you come in my hairs on the back of my neck stand! lol Thats a good thing by the way! You as bad as me creating these epics! haha Funnily enough tho it seemed to fly thru! From start to finish its just plain quality Rhys! Have to say i really enjoyed this alot and as for crits, none i can think of! Top track onece again Rhys and best of luck with it bud! Marty
What can I say? So much has been said... You know I like your voice and all that you have done. Very creative and out-of-the-box! Guess I have been following you around for some time now! Another song and performance from you that is in my like-a-lot catalog! This is wicked Rhys! Way to go! :)
MONSTER rabbit.
No... I must resist... I must avoid the rate button... must... avoid... Ah, crap! I pressed it!

So much power in ur voice! not much of a rock fan but when u play a piano like that with a guitar, i can't help but listen cuz i'm a sucker for piano playing and sweet pads. Rated! Matt.
really dam good vocals....but you already now that :P... i got a sneek preview of this and was very impressed...sweet as you like guitars... but for me its the vocal performance :)really cool beats as well... love the detuned guitar...and very nice piano sound...yeah i like it lots :)...... enough said already thumbs up :D
I said your last track lacked the wow factor for me, This one makes up for it tenfold, Wow! Wow! Wow! Massive, Epic, Stunning at 5.30 I'm thinking can this get any better and It does Brilliant! Cheers :-D
Almost classical this.....and then the vocals came in lol! Another anthem from you....congrats on random pain as well. I'm a fan. Kevin Mooney
Let it be my first review on this site! While I'm not really a good reviewer when it comes to music, I'll give it a try, as this track is really worth it. I like how varied this song is. Sharp riffs, piano and some cool electronica mixed with pretty good vocals shifting from raspy, mischievous voice to properly executed melodic parts. And I love the chorus - lyrics are simple, chatchy and deliver
“Go turn your back on me I’ll never feel lonely I’m my reality So leave my rabbit be” He says it is about survival in this mad modern society. I think he has missed it as a metaphor for all kinds of things. Yet, that is down to each listener to discern. Within this track, lies a true gem, however. Every element has been crafted, painstakingly, and then pressured until
